Their mission was to deliver resources to a group of soldiers posted within the woods. They were given the general direction and distance of the group, as well as the time limit. If they weren't able to deliver the goods within two hours, or if the resources were damaged, they would fail.
The resources came packed in backpacks that weighed about 25kgs each, with a total of five bags. Considering their regular, weighted drills such a weight was not an issue for them at all. The issue was making sure they weren't damaged, since no one was sure of how durable they were.
"The target is 12 km (7.4 miles) in the forest. That's an easily achievable distance with a steady jog, but the absence of a path and potential battles with wild Aetherkin or curses will slow us down. Besides that, we don't have any scouting abilities to help search for enemies, so we'll have to make do," said Jess as she debriefed the team.
