CHAPTER 91. WE ARE TOO DANGEROUS FOR EACH OTHER.
The moment their dishes were served, Eleanora didn't wait for Alexander to resume whatever he had almost confessed moments ago.
She inhaled a delicious amount of aroma from her lemon cake, the citrusy warmth delicate, fresh and grounding to her. She steadied the fork, her earlier tension from the encounter with Ethan, all gone. At least for now.
Thankfully the cake was served in a yellow dish, much to Alexander's relaxation.
But fate apparently had a twisted sense of humor as Alexander's favourite salted caramel pie arrived in a powder pink shaded dish!
"Worth the date?" Eleanora asked as a small laugh escaped her lips, amusement dancing in her eyes, unable to believe at Alexander's misery.
Alexander picked up his cutlery, glancing at her and then at his pie, smiling slightly in the process.
"Worth every moment." He said before digging in his pie while Eleanora enjoyed the cake.
