I nodded my head and looked back down the scope. "Yes, ok. It feels unnatural to keep myself in this position, but I think I can manage. Let go again. let me see if I can find it on my own."
Returning to a neutral position, I then followed the steps, avoiding my own instincts as they were clearly wrong and after a few steps I heard from behind me. "Very good! I knew you could do it! Now all you need to do is line up the shot and fire." Evanthe said excited
I also decided to aim for something close range for this rifle at five hundred meters instead of eight. I shouldn't be trying to compare myself to a highly trained sniper and trying to match their accuracy at distance.
Allowing myself to not attempt to overachieve, I aimed for my target and breathed in deep before exhaling slowly. I then took the shot and smiled as I watched the bullet hit just shy of bullseye.
