"Aahhh… what's the use of these diamonds if I can't even buy a single piece of equipment with them?"

Shiddharth screamed into the empty sky, his voice echoing across the cursed land of the Reset Floor.

No matter how many times he revived, the outcome never changed.

The dragon's breath erased him the instant he approached.

Fire swallowed him whole—again and again—reducing him to dust before his fists or skills could even reach the creature's scales. His strength had grown beyond what any beginner—or even veteran—hunter should possess. His stats were monstrous.

Yet none of it mattered.

What use was strength if he could not even land a single hit?

Frustration gnawed at his sanity.

His body regenerated endlessly, but his mind felt heavier with every resurrection. The smell of burned flesh, the sight of endless corpses, the feeling of dying—it had all repeated so many times that death itself had begun to lose meaning.

He looked around aimlessly.

That was when his gaze stopped.

The clock.

The massive clock floating in the sky, its enormous hand crawling slowly across the word RESET.

"…Wait."

A spark ignited in his exhausted mind.

Every time the clock reached the reset point, the dragon appeared. Yet strangely, the dragon was never present before that moment.

Which meant—

The dragon was not staying on the floor.

It was arriving.

That realization changed everything.

When reset time came again, Shiddharth did not move. He hid among the piled monster corpses, suppressing his presence as much as possible.

The dragon descended from the portal, scanning the floor.

Finding nothing, it grew suspicious.

Just like before, assuming Shiddharth was hiding within the corpses, it unleashed its Dragon Breath.

Hellfire erased everything.

But—

The moment the dragon turned to leave, satisfied—

A body fell from the sky.

Shiddharth.

Using the timing of resurrection, he appeared midair, directly above the dragon.

He twisted his body and swung the bone sword with everything he had, aiming for the dragon's neck.

Clang!

The moment the blade touched the dragon's scales, it shattered.

Not even a scratch appeared.

"…So even this fails?"

But Shiddharth did not retreat.

Instead, he grabbed the dragon's neck with his bare hands and punched.

Once.

The sound that followed was not fire.

It was explosion.

The dragon's head shattered into countless fragments, its massive body collapsing lifelessly to the ground.

"…What?"

Shiddharth stood frozen.

"That… was it?"

Even he could not believe it.

His strength—879+—had crossed a threshold he himself did not understand.

Messages flooded his vision.

He frowned.

"Who has time to read all this…"

But two items made him stop.

Slice of Tower's Wall.

Blueprint of Dragon Sword.

His instincts screamed.

These were not normal rewards.

He opened their descriptions.

"…So that's it."

For the first time since arriving here, Shiddharth smiled genuinely.

With a calm expression, he turned away from the ruined battlefield and walked toward the portal left behind.

"Goodbye, Reset Floor."

The world twisted.

Light engulfed him.

And then—

Warmth.

Wind.

Sunlight.

He stepped onto the First Floor.

"…Ah."

He breathed deeply.

"For the first time in… I don't know how long."

The air was clean. The sky blue. The scent of blood was gone.

He drank water from the nearby fountain without restraint, ignoring the annoyed stares of nearby hunters.

They whispered.

"Who is that guy?"

"Is he insane?"

"New awakener, maybe."

Shiddharth didn't care.

He was alive.

Tower Office

"Sir… we have a serious problem."

A man in a white cloak spoke carefully.

"What now?" the man in the black coat snapped. "We only have five years left before migration. Don't waste my time."

"…The Reset Floor Boss is dead."

Silence.

"…What?"

The black-coated man slammed his desk.

"That's impossible. No living entity can exist there. Who did it?"

"It was… a player."

The room froze.

"A player?" the man whispered.

"Yes, sir. Records indicate he remained there for centuries."

"…Show me his status."

The screen appeared.

Level 15.

But the stats—

The black-coated man's eyes widened.

"…This is it."

His lips curved into a dangerous smile.

"I've been searching for someone like him."

"Someone who can stand against the Beyond Ones."

"Summon him. Immediately."

Shiddharth's system chimed.

[ The Tower Manager has summoned you ]
