Immediately after, the sound of intense gunfire erupted from outside, as the security personnel outside the observatory began to counterattack the intruders. However, the gunfire only lasted for a second or two before it ceased.
It was replaced by screams of agony.

The horrified and desperate screams of the people outside were so piercing, they reached the observation room inside.
