Chapter 25 - The union of light and darkness in perfect harmony

Suzaku's flames raged as she and Uleen Virgo made contact with the newly created field of Aghar. In perfect harmony and synchrony Uleen had shielded the plant life with his magical power, allowing them to thrive and flourish under the pressure of the goddess in heat.

"KING OF THE NIGHT, I KNOW YOU HEAR ME!!!", the voice of the mourning Elven king rang in both the ears of the lovers who could hear it all the way in the formerly magical continent of Aghar.

"Suzie, I have somewhere to be..." Uleen announced pulling back from the lips of Suzaku to announce.

"Really?" she said before landing a 'love tap' to Uleen's abdominal region. "Now of all times, you are really going to assault that poor elf?"

She reached in again

Uleen pulled back again, "I have to...", but Suzaku pressed him again so tightly that resistance became almost futile.

"Ok then, send an emissary," she said, so brutally, as if it were common knowledge.

"Why don't I go and leave an emissary with you?" Uleen said jokingly, just to me, a hand spear made from refined flames to his abdominals, momentarily collapsing his lungs.

Usually, almost nothing could get close to Uleen unless he willed it to, but he had his guard down around Suzaku automatically, and he never knew why.

"No need", Suzaku said before getting up, "go bully a poor elf instead of being with your lover." She summoned flames that quickly wrapped around her before diminishing, leaving her original attire on her body.

Suzaku leaped into the air and turned into a ball of flames as she ascended and speedily exited the scene.

Uleen sat calm and naked on the fields of his former home, looking at Suzaku as she disappeared in a trail of flames. He had a defiant smile on his face.

What Suzaku didn't know was that the purple field of magic Uleen had put up earlier was made not just to hide magic, but as a barrier to stop physical objects from entering or exiting until it was put down.

Origin magic was indeed terrifying

Suzaku had reached the ceiling; just ahead of her was a lightly colored purple field of anti-intrusive barrier magic. Being one of the highest-ranking dragons in history, her ego was unusually massive. Thinking she could break through Uleen's magic, she charged in recklessly, expecting it to shatter, but there wasn't even a mark or a crack on the surface of the barrier.

"VIRGO..." Suzaku roared in disapproval, "Release me from here," punching the barrier with such force and tenacity, sending shockwaves that quaked across the vast Aghar; even the waters behind rippled in response.

"Suzie, that was a joke," Uleen said as he got up, ascending into the heavens to meet his lover.

"I'll send an emissary to the elven lands. Shall we continue?"

Suzaku was stubborn, and hot-headed Uleen Virgo was very much aware of this fact; he knew what he had signed up for all those eons ago. He was calm and patient; she was wild and fiery, just like the day was to the night.

Suzaku halted her flurry of punches to face her Uleen, as her eyes met the enchanting red glow of his eyes, her heart melted, but she expressed love differently, charging at him to make her intentions clear.

*Bam*

Suzaku's fist, which already condensed flames that she intended to connect upon the bare skin of her lover, was met by the calm left palm of Uleen Virgo, who had held on to it so tight that Suzaku couldn't retreat.

Uleen Virgo, the King of the Night and the most knowledgeable in magic, could easily extinguish almost anything on Hilderia with a single thought, and so he did. With a mere thought, Suzaku's flames vanished completely.

"SUZAKU", Uleen Virgo, the king of the night, proclaimed as he calmed himself before resuming, "you of all people should know that I have history with the elves, but what you don't know is what happened on the Ashloven islands a few nights ago..."

"Virgo, there is a time and place for all this, you don't mention such matters now when..." Suzaku then sat and crossed her legs as she levitated above Ahgar, her crown reappearing upon her fiery hair.

Uleen Virgo, the king of the Night, stood upright as his nakedness impressed his lover, who was always fascinated every time she saw his 'assets'.

"I will send an emissary to the Ashloven Island to confront the mourning elf while we continue Suzie..." Uleen said before reaching forward to his lover, "I need to explain to him what happened... I will never harm the children of my child"

At the mention of the world child, Suzaku shivered but regained her tasteful demeanor before Uleen Virgo could notice

He also wondered Suzaku's true reason for coming to Aghar. She was prideful and would not come all the way to the lower world just to consummate with her mate that she had not seen for millions of years, but then again, 'millions' was the key word.

She had all this time to find him, but chose not to, so why now?

"Put on your attire, Virgo", Suzaku said as she pushed her lover away

"Don't be like that, Suzie", Uleen said as he tried to hold onto Suzaku again, to no avail.

"I am not mad at your stupidity, Virgo, we shall continue this right after I fulfill what it was that I came here for..."

The Night King then reached into the pocket collective and spawned a new attire for himself as he sat next to his lover to hear her out

"And what is that, Suzaku of the Nanpo?" Uleen's demeanor switched up, suspecting this was another attempt by the dragon to get the King of the Night to join their midst.

"Well, the truth of the matter is..."

"Suzie, you know my answer is no, I will not come to Wuxia with you"

Suzaku's usual easy-going spirit changed into that of hot, intense focus; she did not even bother lashing out at Uleen.

"Not that Virgo, I heard you the first million times you refused our offer, and I am not asking again..." Suzaku said, pausing as she waited for Uleen to utter a remark before continuing, "As you know, I am the goddess of rebirth, or so the low Hiderians say. I wish to restore this continent with you; my light will hold and regenerate while your darkness can bring back the souls..."

Suzaku took another pause, waiting for Uleen to speak, but he was extremely silent, not even breathing the whole time, his red eyes ever intent on her lips, his eyes focusing not on the screaming and noise from the rest of Hilderia, but on just Suzaku, almost like she was his prey and he was about to devour her.

"Okay, tough crowd..." Suzaku remarked jokingly, "You, without the help of your so-called origin family, are capable of restoring souls, which you have done plenty of times, but you fear corrupting these Agharians, which I know is your reason for not raising them again. What if I tell you that if we synchronize and utilize our power in tandem harmony, we can revive your children... All of them."

"Suzaku", Uleen finally spoke, "what you ask of me is a risk I cannot afford to take. What if..."

"KING OF THE NIGHT COME FACE ME", the wails of the mourning elf reached the ears of both lovers again, this time Uleen could not ignore it.

"It's alright, Virgo, go handle this, we will continue later." The two lovers looked at one another with compassion and understanding, neither of them saying a word because they knew how each other thought.

The Night King's eyes glowed as the presence of his magic flailed across the land as a cloud of dark smoke briefly enveloped him, and as it cleared, an exact lookalike stood behind him. An emissary of the Night King, also known as a clone.

The emissary had its instructions without a word being uttered as it transformed into a smaller white bird and fled Aghar.

The emissary, being a clone of the Night, had no problem phasing past the field, for it was made of magic, and magic followed a strict set of rules.

"Virgo," Suzaku said as she rose and lent a hand to help Uleen up, "shall we continue, my love"

"Of course, my lady," Uleen said, taking his lover's hand

"Tether unto my mind, and I will do the same..." her white eyes examining her lover's red eyes for any signs of an objection

Almost like this had been done before, the Night King reached out both his hands for Suzaku to hold on to.

Suzaku reached out with both of her hands, releasing a heavy extent of her magic, Uleen Virgo doing the same shortly after as the winds across Aghar shook the trees and rippled the waters outside of the field.

The red-yellow of Suzaku's magic hit the Black of Uleen's darkness clashed, cracking the field in the process. If magic like this escaped Hilderia's core could shatter and explode.

Uleen summoned four emissary that quickly understood their assigned tasks as they quickly travelled to each corner of the continent, making contact with the field, reinforcing it with advanced barrier magic, healing the crack as both the lovers increased their magical output.

"Peer into my mind, let us become one momentarily, and I shall do the same," Suzaku spoke through the intense winds as Uleen complied.

A cold presence washed over both Uleen and Suzaku as signifying that they had both synced their minds.

The task was simple: channel the magic to raise souls through Suzaku, allowing for Suzaku to raise the Agharian without making them into soldiers of the army of the Night.

Releasing more magic, the field started to crack again as the emissaries struggled to heal it. The only solution was for the emissaries to make more emissaries. And so, they did.

The magic power let out by both of the lovers was too great, so the emissaries kept replicating in an infinite attempt to keep the field in check.

Pulling unto the strands of magic that were left over in Aghar as a reference for the revival, the King created a dome, then he reached into the pocket collective and pulled out ashes of unknown origins, using the turbulence in the air as a means to quickly spread them across the land.

Suzaku was too focused to notice this, but if she did, she did not mention.

The magic poured all the more and created cracks as the Night King's emissaries were in an infinite replication mode.

Uleen summoned the dome of black, parsing it through to Suzaku in sections, who quickly devoured the magic and released it as pure filtered light that exploded throughout all of Aghar in a blinding flash.

Releasing Uleen's spelling as hers, Uleen closed his eyes, hoping and praying that this was the fix to his emptiness. The Agharians were his all, and losing them broke him; the whole world knew this fact, Suzaku as well even going as far as to risk performing this task, which could kill her and turn her into a soldier for Uleen, yet she did it anyway.

Their current thought was synced, so they were both aware of what the other was thinking

They both smiled.

Uleen Virgo could not help but love her more.

Suzaku was all in.

As the blinding flash cleared, there was a moment of silence as the perfect harmony between the two lovers severed, causing Uleen to be angered.

The magic had failed.

The King of the Night let go of Suzaku and opened his eyes. Much to his joy and excitement, life started to reform from molecules of magic in the air.

The incantation was a success, Uleen grabbed his Suzaku into a deep kiss as the Agharian spawned back into life
