Lu Shaoyuan arrived at the hospital and returned to his office, where he donned his doctor's white coat, sat down, and picked up a case file to read. Someone knocked on the door.
"Come in!"
Lian Limin pushed the door open and came in, smiling broadly, "Dr. Lu! Are you free tonight?"
"Is there something you need?"
Lu Shaoyuan put down the case file and looked at her.
"Oh, the nurse station is having this month's birthday party tonight, and everyone said they want to invite you to join us!"
Lian Limin looked at Lu Shaoyuan with hopeful eyes, "Dr. Lu, will you come?"
Lu Shaoyuan frowned slightly; he usually disliked attending such events. Pressing his lips together, he replied, "Sorry, I have some personal matters to attend to tonight, so I won't be able to join you. Have fun!"
"What personal matter could be so pressing?"
