Backpacks were lined up by the door, filled with clothes, potions, camping gear, and plenty of Delia's homemade snacks. Misty, Sabrina, and Daisy were still double-checking everything with Delia's help, while Cynthia rested comfortably on the couch, one hand gently resting on her small baby bump.
Ash sat alone on the living room couch, legs stretched out, Pikachu curled comfortably on his lap. The little yellow mouse was dozing lightly, cheeks occasionally sparking in his sleep. Eevee slept beside them, and Togepi played quietly with Clefairy on the rug.

From the kitchen, Misty called out with a laugh, "Ash! Stop talking to Pikachu like he's your strategist and come help us finish packing! We're almost ready to leave for the Orange Islands!"
Ash stood up, placing Pikachu on his shoulder.
"Coming!"
As he walked toward the kitchen to join his wives and mom, he felt a deep sense of excitement. With Pikachu's new Selective Actor ability, the Universal Mega Evolution Keystone, the Lugia egg, multiple Mega Stones, and all the other rewards from the league, his team was growing incredibly strong.
The Orange Islands were waiting.
