The ferry finally docked at the familiar shores of Pallet Town under the warm afternoon sun. The gentle lapping of waves against the wooden pier and the sight of the peaceful hillside town brought a wave of nostalgia and joy to everyone on board.
Ash stood at the railing, a bright smile spreading across his face. "We're finally home…"
Misty leaned against his side, her arm linked with his. "It feels like forever since we left. I can't wait to see everyone again."
Sabrina stood gracefully on his other side, her hand resting lightly on his back. "The quiet of Pallet Town after all those adventures… it will be nice."
Daisy sighed happily, already imagining the familiar faces. "I'm so excited to see Grandpa, Delia, Amber… and especially Cynthia. She must be showing quite a bit by now."
Giselle, walking close beside them, smiled softly with a hint of nervousness mixed with genuine warmth. "Even though I met Cynthia once before… I'm really looking forward to seeing her again now that I'm part of this family. And meeting Delia and Amber properly too."
Pikachu jumped onto Ash's shoulder with an excited "Pika-pi!" while Eevee trotted beside him, tail wagging furiously. Both Pokémon were practically vibrating with happiness at being back home.
Tracey was practically bouncing on his toes, eyes sparkling. "Professor Oak! I'm finally going to meet the legendary Professor Oak in person! This is the best day ever!"
Ash laughed, patting Tracey on the back. "He'll love your sketches, Tracey. Just don't faint when you meet him, okay?"
The group stepped off the ferry onto the dock. The familiar scent of Pallet Town fresh grass, flowers, and the faint smell of the nearby forest welcomed them home.
Misty took a deep breath and smiled. "It really feels like home. I can't wait to tell my sisters about everything… but first, Cynthia, Delia, and Amber."
Sabrina nodded. "They've been waiting for us. Especially Cynthia."
Daisy linked arms with Giselle. "Come on, Giselle. You'll fit right in. They already like you from the calls."
Giselle blushed but looked excited. "I hope so. I want to be a good addition to the family."
Ash pulled all four girls into a big group hug, kissing each of them on the forehead. "They're going to love having you all back. We're family now and it's only going to get better."
Pikachu and Eevee cheered happily, jumping around the group with pure joy.
Tracey grinned. "Let's go! I need to meet the Professor before I explode from excitement!"
With laughter and light, natural conversation filling the air talking about what they would tell Cynthia, how big her belly might be, and teasing Ash about becoming a dad again the group began walking the familiar path toward Ash's house, hearts full and ready for the next chapter of their lives.
The familiar path leading up to the Ketchum residence felt warmer and more welcoming than ever. Ash's heart beat faster with anticipation as the group approached the house. Pikachu and Eevee ran ahead excitedly, their tails wagging non-stop.
Ash opened the front door with a big smile. "We're home!"
Inside, Cynthia stood waiting with a radiant, happy expression, her four-month pregnant belly clearly visible under her comfortable dress. Delia Ketchum stood beside her, beaming with motherly pride, while little Amber (6 years old) held Clefairy's hand, with Mew floating playfully nearby.
"Welcome home!" Delia called out warmly, her eyes misty with emotion.
Ash stepped forward first and pulled Cynthia into a gentle but heartfelt hug, careful of her belly. "Cynthia… you look beautiful. I missed you so much."
Cynthia hugged him back tightly, her hand resting protectively on her bump. "I missed you too, Ash. All of you. The house felt so empty without you."
The girls quickly joined in, surrounding Cynthia with warm, sisterly affection.
Misty hugged her carefully. "Cynthia! Look at you! You're glowing so much!"
Sabrina smiled softly, placing a hand on Cynthia's shoulder. "It's wonderful to see you again."
Daisy's eyes sparkled as she gently touched Cynthia's belly. "How are the little Ketchums doing in there? Are they super active?"
Giselle, a bit shy but genuinely happy, gave Cynthia a warm hug. "I'm really glad to see you again. You look wonderful."
Cynthia laughed softly, clearly touched by the attention. "They've been kicking a lot lately. Especially in the mornings. It's a good kind of active."
Misty asked curiously, "Do you get early morning sickness? I read about it in some books…"
Cynthia nodded patiently and explained her experiences while the girls listened attentively, taking mental notes for the future. The conversation was filled with sisterly warmth, laughter, and gentle teasing.
Meanwhile, Ash introduced Tracey to his family. "This is Tracey. He traveled with us through the Orange Islands. He's a great Pokémon Watcher."
Tracey was visibly nervous, bowing repeatedly. "It's an honor to meet you all! Especially you, Champion Cynthia… and Mrs. Ketchum…"
Delia smiled kindly. "No need to be so formal. You're welcome here anytime, Tracey."
Amber ran up to Ash with Clefairy and Mew following. "Big brother! You're back!"
Ash lifted her up with a laugh. "Amber! I missed you so much."
The little girl pointed proudly at the trophy stand. "I kept your Kanto League trophy safe! Now we have two!"
Ash handed her the Orange League trophy. "Here's the second one. Take good care of it."
Delia watched the lively scene with a soft, nostalgic smile, though a hint of longing crossed her eyes as she thought of her husband, who was still away on his secret mission.
Mew floated over, happily munching on cookies Delia and Cynthia had baked, with Clefairy keeping her company.
After the warm greetings, Ash said, "We should head to Professor Oak's lab. I need to deliver the GS Ball and introduce Tracey to him."
Amber bounced excitedly. "I want to come too!"
Ash nodded. "Of course. Cynthia, would you like to join us? A small walk would be good for your health."
Cynthia smiled and took his arm. "I'd love to."
With Pikachu, Eevee, and Togepi leading the way, the group Ash, his harem, Tracey, Amber, and Cynthia headed toward Professor Oak's lab, chatting happily as they walked the familiar path.
