Chapter 306 - Chapter 304: A Peaceful Morning in Pallet Town

The first rays of the morning sun filtered gently through the curtains of Ash's bedroom in the Ketchum residence. The room was quiet and warm, filled with the soft sounds of breathing and the distant chirping of early birds outside. Ash slowly opened his eyes, feeling the comforting weight of Cynthia's arm draped across his chest. His wife was still sleeping peacefully beside him, her four-month pregnant belly gently rising and falling with each breath. The soft morning light highlighted the healthy maternal glow on her face, making her look even more radiant and beautiful.

Ash smiled tenderly. He leaned down and placed a gentle, loving kiss on her forehead, careful not to wake her. Cynthia stirred slightly but remained asleep, a small, contented smile forming on her lips. Ash carefully loosened her grip around him, slipped out of bed, and covered her with the blanket. He stood there for a moment, watching her sleep with deep affection, before quietly leaving the room to start his daily routine.

Downstairs, Ash changed into comfortable workout clothes and headed outside for his morning exercise. He ran several laps around the house, did push-ups, pull-ups on the backyard bar, and a full set of stretches. The fresh Pallet Town air filled his lungs, and the familiar surroundings gave him a deep sense of peace and renewal. After finishing his workout, he returned to his room, took a refreshing shower, and changed into casual clothes.

When he came out of the bathroom, Cynthia was just waking up. She sat up slowly, rubbing her eyes, her long blonde hair slightly messy. She heard the water stop and smiled softly. "Ash…?"

She got out of bed carefully, one hand protectively on her belly, and walked to the living room. There, she found Misty, Sabrina, Daisy, and Giselle already awake, all still in their sleeping dresses with adorably bed-headed hair, looking just as sleepy and cute as she did.

Cynthia greeted them with a warm smile. "Good morning, everyone."

Misty yawned and waved lazily. "Morning, Cynthia~ You look so cute with bed hair."

Sabrina smiled softly. "Good morning. Did you sleep well last night?"

Daisy giggled. "We all look like we just rolled out of bed, don't we?"

Giselle blushed but smiled shyly. "Good morning, Cynthia. You're glowing even more today."

The five girls shared a light, sisterly conversation while waiting for Ash. They talked about how nice it was to be back home and how much they missed these simple, peaceful mornings together.

Ash soon walked into the living room, freshly showered and looking energetic. The girls' eyes lit up as they saw him his slightly damp hair and relaxed, confident smile momentarily mesmerizing them.

Misty was the first to speak, grinning playfully. "Ash~ We're hungry. Can we have a family picnic today? Pretty please?"

Sabrina tilted her head cutely. "It would be nice to spend the day outside together."

Daisy and Giselle gave him matching puppy eyes. "Please, Ash?"

Even Cynthia joined in with a soft, playful pout. "A picnic sounds wonderful…"

Ash sweatdropped but laughed warmly. "Alright, alright. We'll have a big family picnic. First, everyone freshen up. I'll prepare the food and get everything ready."

The girls cheered happily. Daisy immediately offered, "Cynthia, do you want some help bathing? I'll assist you."

Cynthia accepted with a grateful smile. "Thank you, Daisy. That would be nice."

While the girls went to freshen up, Ash took a quiet moment alone to check his System notifications from the Shamouti Island incident.

Lugia's psychic voice echoed warmly in Ash's mind once more: "I have given the little one my blessing the ability to control the weather. Ash… I wish for you to take good care of this child. Raise it with the same love and strength you have shown today."

Ash smiled warmly, feeling a deep sense of responsibility and joy.

The girls soon returned, fresh and ready for the day. They gathered in the living room, chatting happily while Ash finished packing the picnic basket with delicious food.

The Ketchum family was whole again, and a bright, peaceful day full of love and laughter awaited them.

After checking all his pending rewards and admiring the incredible new powers and titles he had gained, Ash closed the System interface with a satisfied smile. The power of King of the Sea and the advanced Elemental Mastery felt like a massive step forward in his journey.

Just then, the sound of soft footsteps reached his ears. He turned around and was greeted by a beautiful sight.

His girls had finished bathing and were now wearing light, casual summer dresses clearly chosen to impress him. Misty wore a bright orange sundress that matched her energetic personality, Sabrina looked elegant in a simple violet dress, Daisy had chosen a soft pink one with floral patterns, Giselle wore a cute white dress with subtle blue accents, and Cynthia glowing with maternal beauty wore a comfortable yet flattering light blue maternity dress that gently hugged her four-month pregnant belly.

Ash's heart skipped a beat. A warm, loving smile spread across his face as he walked toward them.

"You all look absolutely beautiful," he said softly.

Without hesitation, he stepped in front of each of them one by one and gave them a loving, deep kiss on the lips. Misty melted into the kiss with a happy hum. Sabrina closed her eyes and returned it gently. Daisy giggled softly against his lips. Giselle blushed deeply but kissed him back with growing confidence. Finally, he reached Cynthia. He cupped her face tenderly and gave her a long, passionate kiss full of love and care.

Right at that moment, a soft cough came from the kitchen.

Everyone froze.

Delia Ketchum stood there with her arms crossed, leaning against the doorway with a playful, teasing smile on her face. She raised an eyebrow at the scene in front of her.

The girls immediately turned bright red. Cynthia's face flushed even deeper as she pulled back from the kiss.

Delia chuckled. "You can do all your lovey-dovey stuff, but maybe don't do it so openly in the living room? Otherwise, you're going to have to explain all of this to Amber."

Ash rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, his own face turning red. "M-Mom…"

The girls looked away in embarrassment, suddenly very interested in the floor, the ceiling, or anything that wasn't Delia's teasing gaze. Misty covered her face with both hands, Sabrina tried to hide behind her hair, Daisy and Giselle were equally flushed, and Cynthia gently placed a hand on her belly while avoiding eye contact.

The awkward silence was suddenly broken by the sound of rapid footsteps.

"Big brother! Sisters!" Amber came running from her room, with Mew floating beside her, Clefairy bouncing along, and Togepi toddling behind as fast as its little legs could carry it. "Why is everyone's face so red? Are you playing a game? Can I join?"

The innocent question instantly shattered the tension.

Ash burst out laughing first. Soon, all the girls joined in, their embarrassed faces lighting up with genuine joy and relief. Cynthia laughed softly while holding her belly, Misty wiped tears of laughter from her eyes, and even Sabrina couldn't hide her smile.

Delia shook her head with an amused grin. "See? That's what I meant."

Amber tilted her head cutely, still confused but happy that everyone was laughing. "Did I say something funny?"

Ash walked over and picked her up, spinning her around once. "You're perfect, Amber. Come on, let's all get ready for our family picnic!"

The awkward moment had turned into pure warmth and laughter, filling the Ketchum house with happiness. The girls quickly finished getting ready while Ash packed the last of the picnic food. With the whole family together including Delia, who decided to join them they headed out for a wonderful day under the Pallet Town sun.

The peaceful morning had set the perfect tone for the rest of their day.
