Will update later:

This novel is a personal project, so chapter updates will vary wildly. As a student juggling school, free time, extracurriculars, and this labor of love, there's no fixed schedule—for now. (but maybe in the future?)

If you're reading this auxiliary piece before having read the first chapter, then welcome! Here is a quick pulse of the Conatus of the Iconoclasts.

This novel is a collection of many different historical events that take place throughout an unimaginably huge world called 'Yaelid', streamlined in one digestible chronicle that is anchored by Raeinth Ignis—a village boy thrust into the empire's grind. His homeland, the fragile Kingdom of Milliscient, crumbles under Veridian conquest: Cities sacked, rights stripped, humanity forged in the pyre. It's the tale of one striver dragging his realm from calamity's edge back to ancient glory—not as savior, but as reckoning.

Its a story of how Raeinth takes the kingdom he was born in from the cusps of calamity to the glory it once had centuries ago.

It explores deep, evocative and thought provoking themes like:

Conatus - The inherent drive of a thing to persist in its existence and enhance itself, no matter the cruel indifference around it

The price of Freedom - To what extent does Man sacrifice his sanity, in search of attaining 'freedom'?

Intrinsic value - Is everyone truly worth equal?

;:

but lets be honest, all of that is just wishwash hard-to-grasp performative eloquence gibbirish made to make the story sound juicy and entertaining. Lets get into what actually separates it from other titles in its category (according to a fond reader of the novel):

a) 'The main character isn't an Isekai degen (those cheap stories are quite entertaining, but this one aint one of em). He isn't mary sue-esque, he has flaws, huge ones. He acts irrationally, out of line and unreasonably as well, and at many moments, you might even be inclined to hate him. but the more you look into his character, the more you get behind his rationale. His thought process, the way he acts and why. You grow fond of him, grow to respect him. His indomitable will to survive, even in the toughest odds. How strict he is with himself, and yet how lenient he behaves with the ones close to himself. How hard he works, how deeply he thinks, and how passionately he gives to others. Is he a good person? Not at all. but is he someone I see myself in? DAMN RIGHT!'

b) The world is perfectly curated. Every environment, people, culture, country, region, climate, food taste, natural resource, architecture, technology, intellectual contribution, custom, and language is tangible in the fibre of this spine. This world is living, breathing, and every word expands on its cracks and crevices. Its a messy paragon of vivacious effervescent world building.

c) The characters, and their dynamics will make you bawl. The parallels are incredibly deep, and yet they serve to heighten dramaturgy in insane ways.

d) I've cut and dismantled common tropes you find in fiction in satirical ways.

e) You will experience some of the most emotionally charged, climactic, bone chilling, genre defining moments in this novel, with dialogues and scene compositions that are stupefying and incredibly prodigious. I really attempt to make the most of this literary medium to convey incredible depth in my writing, so everything from the expressions characters have, to their tone, to the lighting and shadows in a scene, to its grandeur or intimacy, and vibrant illustrations are conveyed.
