Chapter 9 - Chapter 9

Sage was not in a good mood. He had spent hours trying to find that son of a bitch to no avail.

What use were his damed contacts if not a single one was of any help? He entered his apartment momentarily forgetting about Raven whom he had stashed away here. The memory hit him the moment he set foot inside like a punch to the gut. Raven's scent had slowly slipped out of the room through the crack around the door. A growl more animal than human left his throat as his dominiaring trait raised its unwanted head responding to the omega's heat. For a moment he regretted letting Raven into his domain. But it was just a second. When he remembered Raven's flushed cheeks and his strong willpower to resist for as long as he had, he gained Sage's respect, which wasn't easily gained. His eyes flickered to the black laptop screen. Raven had been up to something on there His evil little smirk had been quite charming. Sage shook his head clearing his head before heading to his room.

He needed to pack he couldn't afford any distractions not when that cockroach had finally crawled out of his hole. Sage was not in a good mood. He had spent hours trying to find that son of a bitch to no avail.

What use were his damed contacts if not a single one was of any use?

He entered his apartment momentarily forgetting about Raven whom he had stashed away here.

The memory came back the moment he set foot inside like a punch to the gut. Raven's scent had slowly slipped out of the room through the crack around the door.

A growl more animal than human left his throat as his dominiaring trait raised its unwanted head responding to the omega's heat.

For a moment he regretted letting Raven into his domain. But it was just for a second. When he remembered Raven's flushed cheeks and his strong willpower to resist for as long as he had, he gained Sage's respect which wasn't easily gained. His eyes flickered to the black laptop screen.

Raven had been up to something on there His evil little smirk had been quite charming. Sage shook his head clearing his head before heading to his room.

He needed to pack he couldn't afford any distractions not when that cockroach had finally crawled out of his hole.

He hadn't meant to slam the door, pausing; his ears perked up, listening for any movement. When he heard non he moved away from the door and straight to his walk-in closet.

Sage quickly packed his suitcase in a few short minutes. Once finished he undressed making his way into the walk in showered.

His fist clenched as Daisey's voice drifted into his mind. Their conversation was still filling his anger.

"Are you serious!? Are we breaking up? But why?"

Her voice broke at the end.

"Did I do something wrong?"

A small sob escaped her trembling lips.

Sage had watched her, his eyes as cold as the Arctic.

It had been quite amusing seeing her so desperate to keep him while screwing his best friend behind his back.

He had almost laughed in her face but held back. Although his people couldn't find Brian, they were able to find out his girlfriend's infidelity.

How ironic.

He audibly scoffed.

His fist hit the granite wall, a hiss escaped his lips at the impact. This is what he got for being the "nice guy". And it would be the las time he would listen to any more great ideas from his cousin.

It hat been her idea for him to make a change after transferring to his new school for his last year.

Taking a few deep breaths he calmed his mind. He shut off the water a deep sigh reverberated off the walls as he covered himself with a towel.

His mind much clearer now then when he stepped into the bathroom.

While drying his hair, he stepped out of the bathroom freezing momentarily stunned whith what greeted him.

Raven was curled up in his bed sound asleep. He was surrounded by Sage's clothes. His once full closet was probably empty from the look of the pile on his bed. Raven looked so peaceful his breath coming in deep even breaths his arms and legs clutching his comforter.

A smile tugged at Sage's lips as he quietly slipped into his closed sure enough it was almost completely stripped.

Sage shook his head while he pulled on a cream colored cashmere sweater that he slipped over his head. He managed to fined a pair of dark blue jeans to complement his onsamble. Once he was done he grabbed his cell and quietly left the room.

The scream nearly blinded him as its bright white light illuminated the screen.

He made a quick call to the housekeeper requesting her visit daily for the next one to two weeks.

Sage grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge the low golden glow of the lights recently installed made it easier for Sage's eyes to adjust to the darkness of his apartment.

He leaned against the counter as the cold water cooled his body. His eyes caught on the computer.

Pushing off the counter he slid onto the chair he tapped on the marble counter. With one flick of the finger, he opened the laptop.

His face because serious there was a picture of the person he had been scouring the city for along with information on his whereabouts and his next destination.

A plane ticket had been purchased earlier that morning. That bastard was gone slipped right through his fingers once again.

Looks like he would need to change his destination. He opened his email to change his flight plans when a confirmation for his new destination had already been changed and confirmed his flight would be leaving in three hours.

Sage's finger tapped furiously on the counter top as his eyes bore into his bedroom door. Slowly he stood making his way over to the door. His hand hovered over th door nob before pushing th latch down and swinging the door open quietly.

He leaned against the door frame watching Raven cuddling with his comforter his breathing now more agitated.

His scent once again becoming thick and heavy in th room. Raven whispered his small bady curling in on itself.

Sage's brows furrowed and he pushed off the door frame. Well there was one thing he could do for Raven before he left. It would keep him safe from all alphas and his heats wouldn't be so intense.

He could already feel his teeth elongating his mouth filling with his own pheromones. He bent over Raven his nape bear.

Sage caged Raven in between his arms. He nuzzled Ravens delicate sking and he shuddered.

"Sage! Hurry up stop teasing me."

Rave squirmed his bottom arching up right against Sage's painful erect member.

"Are you awake?"

Sage hummed.

There was no response to his question. Raven just huffed "always so mean."

He was apparently having a dream and it was about Sage himself.

For some reason this satisfied something deep within his soul. A deep chuckle escaped his lips as he buried his face in the crook of Raven's neck.

His tongue lapped at the soft skin his lips sucked until a small mark was left.

"Come find me when you're ready."

With that, he got up took out an inhibitor for omega from his end table drawer and ruthlessly jabbed it into Raven's thigh.

Raven cried out pitifully but did not wake. With one final glance at the he sleeping Raven Sage grabbed his to go back and slipped out of the apartment.

A sinister smile graced his lips and a vicious glint shone in his eyes the moment he stepped out into the cool nigh air.

"Ready or not here I come."
