Chapter 160 - Chapter 143 - Primal Beast That Always Respawn

The next morning, after Rei and the others had returned.

"You want my help to find a new weapon?"

In the morning Djeeta suddenly appears in front of Rei and ask him to accompany her to find new weapon.

"Yeah. My sword is too weak at this point. If I keep using it, it'll only hold me back when we fight that dark essence… or monsters with hard skin."

She pulled out her sword, which was now shorter because it had snapped in half.

"I have my Sword of Renunciation and Repudiation. Do you want to use that?" Rei offered.

"No. Your weapon is too lethal. If I use that, even a single swing would probably destroy everything." Djeeta immediately refused. She knew how dangerous his weapon was.

There would be times when they needed to capture someone instead of killing them, so she needed a weapon that wasn't overly deadly.

"…I don't think I have anything like that," Rei admitted while thinking. "Most Primal Beast weapons are lethal too. And Blade of Olympus is the only one I've created myself… and that's also extremely dangerous."

He considered fixing her sword using better materials, but the problem was that he didn't have any suitable materials.

"Let's ask Sierokarte instead. I'm sure she'll have an idea for a new weapon for you."

"Sierokarte? That's right—she's here too!"

Djeeta's face brightened. She immediately grabbed Rei's arm and started pulling him along.

"Come on, let's go find her!"

"Eh—?"

Djeeta dragged him out of the mansion and into the city, searching for Sierokarte's shop.

In just a few weeks, so many things in the city had already changed. Even Sierokarte's shop had moved to a different place—it had grown too big and now needed a larger building.

After asking around, they finally learned that Siero's Knickknack Shack had moved to the shopping district, where people usually went to buy souvenirs and gifts when visiting the island.

Not long after, they arrived in front of a building that stood out clearly, with a constant stream of people coming in and out.

"Oh wow… Sierokarte really knows how to do business," Rei said, amazed at how much the shop had changed.

"But how do we even find her?" Djeeta asked. "With a shop this big, I'm not sure they'd even let us meet her."

"Fufufu~ Welcome to Knickknack Shack, Rei, Djeeta. What can I do for you?"

A familiar voice suddenly spoke from behind them, making both of them jolt in surprise.

"What the—!? Siero!? Where did you come from!?" Djeeta shouted, completely caught off guard.

"I didn't even notice you were behind us. How did you even do that?" Rei added. There were very few people who could bypass his senses like that even when he wasn't fully focused.

"Fufufu~ Of course, as the manager, I need to be capable of many things. And one of those is appearing wherever there is profit," Sierokarte said cheerfully, as usual.

"So, what can I do for you two?"

"It's like this…" Djeeta began explaining her problem and why they had come.

"Hm hm… a weapon strong enough for your journey…" Sierokarte muttered while thinking.

She knew that Djeeta's crew didn't have a normal skyfarer journey. She couldn't just casually recommend ordinary weapons—there was no way they would be sufficient.

And since she had a personal rule of never disappointing her customers, she spent a few minutes thinking seriously. Then her eyes slowly opened.

"Unfortunately, I don't think I have a weapon suitable for you," she admitted. "I do have normal weapons, but I'm quite sure they wouldn't be enough for your needs…"

"Ahh, that's disappointing…" Djeeta said, looking discouraged. "Do I really have to use Rei's weapon temporarily…?"

"But maybe… if I had the materials, I could do something about it," Sierokarte suddenly said, making both Rei and Djeeta curious about what she meant.

"You need materials? Where can we get them?" Rei asked first.

"Do you two know about the primal beast that always appears again every time it's defeated?"

"I've never heard of that kind of primal beast before. What is it?" Djeeta asked.

Instead of answering directly, Sierokarte put her hand into her bag, as if searching for something. A moment later, she pulled out a plastic bag with something inside.

"Oh, hell no…" Rei immediately recognized what was inside. It was several slices of meat he was all too familiar with.

"What's wrong with you, Rei?" Djeeta asked, confused by his reaction.

"Nothing, nothing… it's just that I have bad memories with that kind of meat," Rei said, turning away. He already knew where this was going.

"Weird…" Djeeta muttered before turning back to Sierokarte. "So, what is that? Is that meat?"

"Yes," Sierokarte nodded. "Every two months, a primal beast appears on an island west of here. No matter how many times you defeat it, it will always respawn as long as you place this meat there."

She continued explaining calmly.

"Other crews go there to gather materials and sell them to me. However, most of them only manage to obtain common materials. Rare materials are extremely difficult to find, so very few people bring them back."

Sierokarte looked at them with a small, meaningful smile.

"Perhaps… you might have better luck."

"That's a really weird primal beast… So we use this meat to make it appear again and again, then we defeat it to get materials?" Djeeta said while examining the meat in her hand.

"People call the event Unite and Fight," Sierokarte explained. "They work together to defeat the primal beast and earn money. If you manage to obtain rare materials, bring them to me and I'll see what I can do with them."

"Oh, goddammit…" Rei muttered under his breath after hearing that.

This was basically Guild War. He had spent days grinding to reach top 100 for materials back in the game… and now he had to do it again in real life.

"I see, I see… That actually sounds really interesting. So we just defeat the primal beast and bring the materials back to you, right?" Djeeta asked, confirming their objective.

"Yes. Just come back here when you're done. I'll be waiting," Sierokarte replied.

"Alright, let's go, Rei! I can't really help much since I don't have a proper weapon yet, so I'll leave this to you!" Djeeta said, her eyes sparkling with excitement. She was clearly eager to see a primal beast that could appear endlessly.

"…Alright," Rei answered after a brief pause. This was for Djeeta, after all.

And if he remembered correctly, aside from materials, the primal beast could also drop Revenant weapons—something Djeeta would definitely want.

It just depended on which one… since there were ten of them.
