As soon as the words dropped, Cheng Cheng's voice could be heard from the other side.
"What did you just say? Are you saying I'm going to be a bachelor for life?"
Cheng Cheng walked in and saw Ah Liu on the phone, and from his expression, he knew it was Jiang Xiao on the other end, so without saying a word, he leaned in to listen, and just happened to catch that sentence.
"Ha! Where did you suddenly pop up from?"
"What, feeling guilty for talking bad about me and getting caught?" Cheng Cheng took the phone and scoffed.
Jiang Xiao laughed, "How is it badmouthing? I think I'm just speaking the truth. You're how old now and don't even have a partner. Isn't it likely you'll be a bachelor for life?"
"I'm only in my twenties. Who was it who said that our godfather, not yet forty, had plenty of girls interested? So why is it that when it comes to me, being in my twenties means I'll be a bachelor for life?"
