As soon as Mo Shangjun and Ya Tianxing came over, a few bootlicking teammates automatically shifted aside to make room and free up seats for them.
Someone brought over beer and soft drinks, someone else set down fresh-off-the-grill barbecue.
Mo Shangjun didn't sit down. She stood by the square table, curled her fingers and tapped the tabletop, then stressed in a mock-serious tone: "Sucking up to the captains, that's a bad trend we cannot encourage."
"Respect, respect! This is our way of showing you respect!"
"You've worked hard usually, this is only right, only right."
"We're doing this willingly, absolutely no intention of 'sucking up'!"
...
A whole bunch of bootlickers immediately started chattering away all at once.
Ya Tianxing silently hooked a chair out a bit, gesturing for Mo Shangjun to sit.
Talking about useless stuff is worse than eating barbecue while it's hot.
She touched her nose and obediently sat down.
The people around them were all giggling and laughing.
