When Xiaoyin arrived at the narrow alley, Mo Shangjun was already nowhere to be found, leaving Xiaohei leaning against the wall, taking deep breaths.
The bloodstain on his neck surprised Xiaoyin, who quickly pulled a handkerchief from his pocket and went over to press it against Xiaohei's wound.
"I'm fine," Xiaohei said, frowning, "it's just a scratch."
Though he spoke lightly of it, his talking tugged at the wound, which was freshly stopped from bleeding, with the risk of reopening at any moment.
After looking around to confirm there was no sign of Mo Shangjun, Xiaoyin asked, "Where is she?"
"Said she was going to eat," Xiaohei said, "told us to stay away, or she'd lose her appetite."
"..."
Xiaoyin momentarily didn't know how to respond.
Walking a few steps around, Xiaoyin suddenly stepped on something. He looked down, bent to pick it up with surprise, then asked Xiaohei with confusion, "Isn't this your wallet?"
"...Yeah."
Xiaohei responded in a somber tone.
