Chapter 263 - Chapter 262 - All the Events Involving Severus 01.

[Chapter Size: 1900 Words.]

Third Person POV

Ministry of Magic.

...

...

The trial continued, moving on to the next discussion of the facts that would be presented in a list of acts Severus had committed, since they would try to confirm all the events in which he had participated before the next stage of the trial.

"Next report... Two months earlier, there was an attack in Arundel, in the south of England. Three Muggle families were cold-bloodedly murdered by an assassin/assassins using Unforgivables. Did you have anything to do with that?" asked the Minister of Magic, while Severus sneered as he looked.

"I am killing wizards, mostly pure-bloods, not Muggles." Severus replied calmly.

The audience fell into a murmur of whispers, shocked by his words. After all, everyone there was a wizard, and many of them were pure-blood, their lives untouchable their entire lives. They couldn't help but feel threatened by Severus's statement, but also the question had been asked outside of Severus's profile. He had never attacked any Muggle other than his own father.

"Order!" said the Chief Witch, striking her gavel, while the courtroom began to fall silent. "You deny, then, your involvement in this?" she asked then, as he nodded.

"Exactly. I am not involved in that." said Severus.

"Well, let's move on to the next facts. You began to be known as the Hogsmeade Killer, due to the large number of wizards you murdered in the place who were attacking Hogwarts students. But you also became known by another name: the Mysterious Alchemist, since you began selling high-quality potions that no one managed to identify who they belonged to, after all, they were potions of no known Potions Master. At the time, then, you were nicknamed the Mysterious Alchemist, mostly invading the black market of potions.

Some black market sources, according to the report, said they saw a mysterious man selling potions in the middle of the black market, usually on weekends. Later, we discovered that the headmaster of Hogwarts gave you access to leave the school on those same days..." said the Chief Witch, while people began commenting again, some even pointing at Dumbledore as a possible accomplice.

The woman paused before finally asking. "Do you deny this evidence?"

"No. I really did leave the school to sell potions on weekends, since I needed to raise money. And as I was a very talented student in this field, better than anyone in the last two hundred years of Hogwarts, I decided to make money. Except, since I didn't have a Potions Master's license, I couldn't sell them officially. And also, if I had, I would have been putting a target on my back, as you well can understand, I didn't want the Death Eaters and Voldemort after me at the time more than I had already drawn their attention..." He finished, and people once again made many comments around him before the Chief Witch struck the gavel.

"Well, let's move on to the next cases." she said.

This was merely a confirmation or denial of the events: those he denied would have to be proven as accusations. He had denied only one so far, about the attack on the Muggles, something he had not done.

"Now, this brings us to the great catastrophe of the black market, where reports indicate that the Mysterious Alchemist was there using Unforgivable Curses. Which brings us to you. Do you deny this, after you had a fight with Rosária Valenstein and destroyed several buildings and streets, with the death of some wizards involved in the fight?"

When she said this, several eyes turned to Rosária, beside Bellatrix, who felt a little embarrassed. She had had a fierce fight with Severus when she met him, and regretted having done that. But, due to the excitement of meeting someone who didn't smell as foul as she had been used to feeling from everyone else in 200 years, she had almost been desperate to test him.

"That is true." Severus replied in a firm tone.

The Chief Witch looked for a moment. "We don't have exact proof of what happened there, we only know of your involvement because everyone recognized you using Unforgivables, like the Avada Kedavra. Can you explain exactly what happened that day?" she asked, as Severus nodded.

"I went after a house-elf and ended up discovering an auction that would take place in the black market, where an elf would be sold. Then I managed to speak, through the man to whom I sold potions, and arrange a place for myself at the auction. That happened when I attended it." Severus paused, looking at Rosária, who stared back at him.

"Miss Rosária came as a woman wearing a mask, just like all of us. Everyone called her Young Lady. She seemed interested in me at that time for some reason." Severus said, still staring at her, while the redhead could not hide the blush on her face.

"I remember being quite indifferent to her interest, still cautious, since I did not know her well at that time. Then we let the auction begin. In the items that didn't interest me, I said nothing. But when the house-elf was auctioned, I disputed the elf with Abraxas Malfoy as we placed our bids... I managed to make a higher bid, since Mr. Malfoy was not willing to pay that much for a house-elf." Severus said.

"Abraxas Malfoy is one of those you murdered too!?" someone shouted from the audience, and Severus stared, interrupting the continuation.

"Yes, it's true. I killed him while he was torturing Muggles in that city. I admit, it was quite easy." Severus said calmly, without any fear, while his gaze went to Lucius, who was among the people close to the Black family, accompanied by Narcissa. Lucius shrank a little.

If they had known how powerful Severus would become... he wondered if Lucius would have acted differently since the first year at Hogwarts. Since he had always seen Severus as a dog to be easily tamed. Just with crumbs.

"Let's continue here, please. Leave the murder story for later." said the Chief Witch, a little frustrated. She had to admit: this man was disturbing. He made everyone uncomfortable, for he spoke of deaths and murders as if he were on a stroll in the park. It was terrifying.

"Well, the biggest conflict I had with Miss Rosária was because of a painting that was auctioned after the house-elf. We started with simple bids, but soon we were raising them, one countering the other. In the end, I gave my best offer with everything I had, and Rosária Valenstein defeated me." Severus gave another sidelong glance at Rosária before turning back to the Chief Witch.

"Well, that doesn't exactly explain why you two got into a fight. Did you try to steal the painting from her?" asked the Chief Witch, as Severus shook his head.

"After I took the house-elf and asked him to go to the indicated place, I left, knowing very well what awaited me outside. Some thugs that Rosária had sent tried to block my way in the streets of the black market.

They cast Unforgivables at me, and I retaliated in kind, resulting in their deaths. Rosária came shortly after, and all the confusion began as we fought." he said, while the Chief Witch arched her eyebrow and turned her gaze directly to the audience, to Rosária.

"Tell me, Miss Valenstein... Is this true?" She hesitated for a moment, imagining that Dracula at this moment would be scratching himself, since every time someone said her name, it alerted him.

"How exactly did you get into this kind of fight with your current fiancé?" she said, a little stunned. After all, despite the fight full of Unforgivables, in which both tried to kill each other, in the end, they ended up becoming engaged. What a bizarre situation. This also sparked several comments and whispers among the audience.

"You tried to kill him and now you're chasing after him? Go figure." Bellatrix couldn't help but snarl, while Rosária shot her an angry look.

"I heard you also tried to humiliate him, and were struck back with a slap in the face of humiliation." Rosária muttered back, before turning to the Chief Witch, ignoring Bellatrix's furious glare.

"It's true that I became interested in Severus the moment I heard him, because I loved his scent." she said, a little embarrassed, while people looked astonished around. But she continued: "At first, I knew he was different and was even more surprised as the event went on. He was the only one who had the guts to counter-bid against that painting I wanted to buy for Father, because he discovered the hidden value in it as much as I did, but I managed to defeat him. However, I was not satisfied and wanted to know more about him. I sent some men to test him and then we started fighting as equals."

"When I realized that he had disappeared, I was a little upset. I tried to look for him, but no one knew anything about the Mysterious Alchemist. Not even the greatest investigators could help me, until I managed to get information a few months later. I discovered that he was from England, a Hogwarts student, and his name, being Severus Snape. However, to my surprise, Severus had not forgotten the painting I had won from him."

"He himself went to my house and tried to steal

it from me and my father. It was at that moment that I discovered we were made for each other. From the moment I heard him, I already had that feeling, but I was certain when I saw him beating my father and trying to steal that painting right under his nose." she said, as if it were a love story.

While some people opened their mouths in disbelief, others seemed to reconsider whether they were really hearing correctly.

"Well, that was quite strange." The Chief Witch couldn't help but murmur, also a little stunned to hear that. Seeing a two-hundred-year-old half-vampire look like a lovesick teenager before them was, at the very least, disturbing.

"She says she fell in love after he used Unforgivables on her. He went to her house, beat her father, tried to steal her painting... and she discovered they were made for each other after that? Love is really weird." the Chief Witch murmured internally. Dumbledore seemed to be the only one laughing with a certain humor there.

"Well then, you don't deny any of her words?" she asked at the end, while both Severus and Rosária nodded in agreement.

"All right, let's move on to the next accusation." she murmured, despite keeping the information that Severus had broken into Dracula's house. There had never been a direct accusation or complaint from the vampire about this, so nothing was officially recorded. But she told herself that she would keep that in mind to bring up later.

After all, to say that someone had entered the house of the greatest vampire in the world to try to steal a painting and survived was no small feat. Even more so when the vampire himself didn't seem as upset as the British Minister of Magic had been when trying to harm his daughter.
