"Why didn't I hear anything?"
Qin Mu glanced outside; it seemed like there was no one on the entire first floor, yet she hadn't heard a sound.
"Of course you didn't hear anything. You've been on the phone for half an hour, chatting away with Gongzhi Ping'an."
Mu Yichen tossed her phone onto the couch, and with one hand resting on the armrest, he pinched her chin with the other, his teeth gritted. His deep, dark eyes locked onto hers, as if they were going to pierce through her.
"Um, did you hang up the phone?"
Qin Mu felt panic inside, yet her eyes sparkled with a kind of mischievous pleasure.
Mu Yichen glanced at the phone in the couch and then pretended he was about to slap her.
Qin Mu was so scared she immediately turned her face away, closing her eyes tightly, not daring to move.
Mu Yichen's hand hovered above her head for a while, and then lightly patted her cheek.
