"I, by the will of Heaven, govern all, toiling day and night, only hoping for peace within the realm and for the people to be joyful. Yet now the rebels in the Southern Frontier repeatedly trespass upon my territory; the abominations of the East Sea scheme against me. The Yellow Sand River is the lifeline of the state, the artery of the people, and yet they dare to dig channels and break the dikes, intending to cut off our supply routes and disrupt our people's lives!
There are three crimes they must answer for: Firstly, they betray alliances and abandon righteousness, repeatedly invading our borders and slaughtering the innocent; secondly, they conspire with wicked ones in secret, falsely claiming magic and deceiving the people; thirdly, they destroy our waterworks and ruin our crops and mulberry trees—such betrayals both incur Heaven's wrath and lose the people's unity!
