Wei Anning returned to the room and saw a richly dressed woman pacing back and forth in front of the hospital room. Looking at her face, she felt a sense of familiarity.
She walked over, stood in front of the lady, and politely asked, "May I ask who you're looking for?"
The lady was startled, turned to look at Wei Anning, and stammered, "Are, are you Miss Wei?"
Wei Anning nodded, a strange feeling flashing through her mind, and said, "I am. Do you have business with me, ma'am?"
The lady, as if seeing a lifeline, rushed over, reached out to hold Wei Anning's hand, and excitedly said, "Miss Wei, please help me, save my daughter."
Wei Anning was completely baffled, the thermos in her hand almost falling to the ground. She awkwardly said, "Ma'am, I don't know who your daughter is, nor how to save her. Perhaps you can wait here for a bit—I'll bring the food inside; my son is hungry. I'll talk to you after I feed him, okay?"
