Xiao Yu was taken to the terrace by Gong Ting, who seemed a bit agitated. He downed his drink in one go, swung his hand, and the glass flew out, shattering in the corner.
Xiao Yu saw the shards flying towards Gong Ting, and she quickly grabbed his hand, pulling him back. She stepped in front of him, and the shards brushed past the back of her hand. She could feel the pain.
Looking down, she saw a bloody gash on the back of her hand, with blood beading out. The pain made her frown.
Gong Ting grabbed her hand, seeing the blood continuously seeping out. He frowned deeply and said in a low voice, "You see the shards and don't avoid them, what are you doing stepping in?"
Xiao Yu puckered her lips in grievance. Wasn't she just afraid he'd get hurt?
Gong Ting's eyes were bloodshot. He suddenly bent down and cradled her horizontally, striding out of the terrace, ignoring others' gazes. He hurried out of the banquet hall to take her to the hotel's medical room.
