"Hello, brother-in-law. Took you a while to return from wherever you went to— oh, you have guests with you? awesome!" Mirabel grinned, her eyes dauntlessly boring into that of Caily's.
On seeing her, Caily drew her breath in, her eyes widened and her whole face froze in shock,
"Mi–rabel?" Her voice cracked,
'I see you are still the same timid and gullible brat!' Mirabel chided in her thoughts,
"Nice to you see you again, Caily. I thought you were dead! You suddenly vanished off the surface of the earth," She reproached, striding towards Caily,
Unexpectedly, Caily released a blatant smirk, "You are still so good at playing pretense. You saw me on the day I was leaving the country, so why do you make it look like I went into hiding?"
Quite taken aback by Caily's sudden demeanor, it took a few seconds for Mirabel to drive out of her startled faze and scoff loudly. She pushed herself to continue to take slow strides to where Caily stood stagnant,
