The Evil Gods all felt chills down their spines. In the past two days, many High Gods in their Pantheon have been assassinated, and the culprit remained unknown.
Ordinary Gods dying was of no concern to them. The Evil Pantheon was massive, with countless ordinary Gods. The fall of a few was insignificant, much like the Beast Gods ignoring the loss of over a hundred ordinary Gods.
But the slain these past days were all High Gods—some even famed since ancient times. Their deaths shook the entire Evil Pantheon and filled High Gods with fear of becoming the mysterious assassin's next victim.
"I thought that it was either the Nature Pantheon, our historical foes, or maybe even the Gods of Truth," A lich-like Evil God said, "But since no major conflicts have erupted after the Ancient War, they have no reason to assassinate us."
Since the Great Aetherium had recently killed Kaelix and Zarek, both High Gods, it meant that they definitely had the means to assassinate High Gods. Many Evil Gods now felt chills and an urge to flee. They had viewed this kingdom as a minor threat until now, but it turned out to be more dangerous than a prehistoric beast.
Even Maddox was a little scared. He couldn't fathom the Great Aetherium's strength that allowed them to kill almost ten High Gods in two days. Adding to his dilemma, they have even allied with the Beast God Pantheon. It was only the backing of his sister Micteya that gave him the confidence to not retreat.
Maddox avoided Christine and again focused on Haru, "If the Great Aetherium has aligned with the Beast Gods, then we share our enemies. We can forget Jason's death, since he attacked Your Majesty first. Just return his soul, Godhead, and artifacts. After that, we will consider this matter closed."
Other Evil Gods agreed. Although jealous, they were powerless against the combined Great Aetherium and Beast Gods Pantheon. They could only suffer and wait for their Supreme Gods to seek revenge.

Receiving his orders, the hundreds Gods launched an attack against the Evil Gods, who were taken by surprise. Before they could even register what happened, hundreds of Evil Gods have fallen, with their Divine Body's vitality being cut off and their soul being sealed.
"Damn it!" Maddox roared, "Do you know who you are up against, arrogant young king?"
Haru's forces showed no fear while attacking a force four times their size. At this moment, Maddox was locked in a fight against Nora and he felt immense pressure. This was the first time he felt like he might lose against a fellow peak High God Tier.
"Kill these Angels!" The Evil Gods also roared, wielding their Natal Artifacts and Divine Laws.
"Your Majesty, shall we—?" A Swan-kin Beast God asked Christine hesitantly.
She summoned her Natal Artifact, the Medusa's Scepter, and said, "Since we have allied with the Great Aetherium, we cannot stand aside."
As thousands of Beast Gods joined the Angels in attacking the Evil Gods and Christine personally fought alongside Nora against Maddox, the nearby spectators retreated even further as they were unwilling to be caught up in this massive Divine Battle.
"The Great Aetherium's ruler is pretty decisive. Even while facing such overwhelming odds, he struck first!"
"Yeah, even when Maddox compromised by only asking for Jason's soul, Godhead and artifacts, the young king, backed by Christine, decided to start the battle."
"But Christine's choice to ally with the Great Aetherium is really strange. Will Malakar and Skarion retaliate against the beast God Pantheon?"
In the battlefield, Gods fell constantly—Evil Gods, Beast Gods, and Angels, but the difference was that when Angels died, their souls merged into their Angel Hearts, returning to the Angel Reincarnation Pool.
They could then be resurrected without any loss of strength by using Divine Crystals, only forfeiting any further exp gain from this battle, which would then be passed onto the others. This would help him create more Intermediate and High God Tier Angels, which would be pretty helpful in the upcoming Demon Slayer Tournament.
Suddenly, an intermediate stage High God charged towards Haru, wielding a black sword imbued with his evil Divine Law. Although recently promoted to the intermediate stage of High God Tier, Haru's mastery of 51 Divine Laws made him far stronger than even most late stage High Gods.
"Leave this one to me!" Seeing the Fallen Angels Eveline and Mary try to stop this attacker, Haru shouted loudly and blocked the attack with his scepter.
Their divine clash devastated the area, creating a black hole that swallowed the nearby matter, but the combatants remained unaffected by its gravitational pull. Following the clash, the Evil God was pushed back and spat golden blood.
"He's a monster!" Shocked by Haru's strength, he gasped before trying to flee.
Unfortunately for him, this Evil God was the first actual target at the same level as Haru, whom he has managed to keep for himself. Therefore, he had no intention of letting it flee. He sent a chain conjured of multiple Divine Laws and captured the fleeing Evil God.
"I am a subordinate of Lord Skarion!" The Evil God screamed. Haru ignored him and crushed his Divine Body before sealing his Divine Soul. Back in the capital, all of these ancient Evil Gods would be purified and become Gods of Light faction under Haru's command.
"Each kill strengthens me," Haru mused, "Just three to five more High Gods like this, and I'll advance again."
As he watched the battlefield from afar, his swift victory terrified the spectators and Evil Gods alike as they stared at Haru with horror—like he was a monster.
