Chapter 79 - Arrival in Wakanda, Shuri

The Quinjet sliced through the clouds like a silver blade, its sleek frame glinting in the African sun.

Below, the sprawling beauty of Wakanda unfolded—lush emerald forests, golden savannahs, and gleaming futuristic cities seamlessly woven into the land's natural rhythms.

But beneath the surface shimmered tension.

Inside the jet, silence reigned.

Peter sat stiffly in the co-pilot seat, eyes flicking between readouts and the windshield.

His fingers tapped the console with nervous energy. Behind him, the rest of the team checked their gear—some calm, others faking it.

Tony's voice lingered in Peter's head. "He has the heart of a hero more than anyone I've ever met."

'Yeah, well,' Peter thought, 'even heroes can screw up.'

The Quinjet landed on a platform of interlocking Vibranium tiles that adjusted shape and slope with fluid grace.

Wakandan soldiers stood in perfect formation—spears in hand, panther emblems glowing on their chests. Tension crackled in the air like a coiled spring.

Peter walked forward, trying not to trip over his own nerves.

Shuri emerged from the tower above, flanked by Dora Milaje. Her expression? Professional. Cold. A scientist's gaze assessing a lab sample.

Shuri had assumed leadership after a series of events that led to her brother leaving Earth alongside other Avengers on a mission.

The Black Panther had become an Avenger after being actively recruited by Tony Stark.

Tony didn't wait for things to fall in place in their own. He reached out and boldly so.

Of course he was very persuasive and it didn't take him long to convince the wakanda king to join them.

Moreover he helped the kingdom deal with one of the criminals, and helped solve an internal conflict earning their gratitude.

There are other avengers that were recruited.

Later Tony decided that they should be proactive against Thanos. Hence a number of the avengers left earth on a covert secret mission.

Meanwhile since then Shuri had taken the place of leader.

"So. These are the children they've brought us?" she asked, voice flat.

Peter swallowed. "Uh—teenagers, technically?"

'Not like you're much older anyway,' Peter thought.

This Shuri was in her twenties.

Shuri arched a brow. "I stand corrected."

David stepped forward. "We're not just kids—we're Avengers."

Shuri didn't blink. "We'll see."

A flicker of amusement twitched at the corner of her mouth—then vanished.

Kamala leaned toward Miles. "This is going great."

David tried again, walking beside Shuri as they entered the city. "I read your work on Vibranium nano-reactive systems. Genius-level stuff."

Shuri gave a polite nod. "Thank you."

David smiled. "I've been developing kinetic dampeners—nothing as advanced, but maybe we could—"

Shuri's tone cooled. "You build gadgets. I build Wakanda."

David's smile faltered. He fell back.

Peter caught the exchange in his periphery. 'Okay, so diplomacy's going amazing. What's next? A food fight?'

Then Pietro zipped off.

Literally.

One second he was beside David, the next—gone.

"Where—?" Peter blinked.

Miles groaned. "He's doing the thing again, isn't he?"

WAKANDAN OUTER CITY SECTOR – MOMENTS LATER

Pietro dashed through narrow alleys and tech corridors, laughing softly. "Gotta admit, the design here is slick."

He skidded to a halt before a vibranium statue of Bast. "Hello, kitty."

Then he heard it.

A low whirr. Vibranium-tuned energy.

He turned—and found five Dora Milaje circling him, spears raised.

"Oh," he said. "Right. Cultural boundaries."
