Silas had been worried ever since he returned from the Ryujin Mansion. He hadn't said anything at the time, but now he wondered whether Reina had even noticed.
The way she hadn't noticed him casting a spell on the earcuff and the part where he had deliberately added a protection spell as well. She caught neither and she didn't even feel any of those spells. It was like she had turned into a completely oblivious human, her senses, mana and everything that gave the sharp edge was gone for the time being so, there was a chance that she might not even sense an attack in time to react.
The possibility sent a chill down Silas's spine, he wasn't the type of person to be scared but, with the way Reina was now, all the assassins that she had gathered should realise that they needed to act as her shadows at this moment more than anything.
