Got - Part 30
Winterfell. The North.
I'd not been around for the king's long-awaited arrival. I'd not seen the point with so many of my familiars around who could report to me if anything worthy of note happen. Besides, I'd had other matters to take care of and a lot of training to be getting on with.
Bringing a few of the Starks into my group proved easier than expected. Jon talked to his brother since they go on well, and Robb Stark could keep his mother in line who like Sansa was best kept in the dark about what was really going on.
To help with that I'd triggered a pregnancy for Catyeln since I don't need to be the father to ensure that a member of the group gets pregnant.
You now have total control over the chances of pregnancy in any sexual encounter involving you or a member of your harem, even overriding any fertility control your waifus may employ.
The rules stated 'or a member of your harem' rather than 'and a member of your harem' and since Catlyen was having regular sex with her husband she could have gotten pregnant and now she had. That should help to keep her in Winterfell.
Arya also listened to Jon and that made it best for him to handle Arya until I could convince Lord Stark to travel with me, at least for a time, getting him to agree to reunite with Arya once we were all in Kingslanding would ideal for easing her into her role.
While she didn't have her assassin training, she could perfect her fighting abilities with my other warrior girls and develop her skills in that area. Plus I could send her off for a training course whenever I wished so she'd have the skills to help look after the Pathfinder.
Currently, I was making my way to Lord Paramount's solar at his request. He'd sent for me, and the messenger had told me it was important business.
"Lord Stark called for me," I said to the guards.
One of the men in light grey armour knocked on the door, waited to be invited in, and then announced that I was here for the meeting.
"Wait out here for me," I said to Faith, who was performing acting as my protector "If you get bored you can go for a walk".
Given her superior hearing, she'd be able to hear everything we got up inside and Cameron would be entering with me as she had some paperwork I'd need to drop off here anyway. Matters of money and a few minor things that the Stark to go over before he headed south. The work to improve Winterfell would carry on without him.
As for Faith, she wasn't one for standing still and she could get antsy so it would be best if she wandered around while waiting as I might be a while. I could easily summon her with Smartphone if I needed her.
"Your Grace" I greeted when I saw the king.
He was just as he appeared in the show, and frankly, I'd been intending to avoid him as much as possible since Robert is doomed and so there was no sense in me wasting my time on him. I had a few of the Starks bound to me, and two Reeds would soon be added to my retinue. Things were going well in the points gaining department.
Besides, the Lannister were who I needed to focus on. Binding a few of them to me wouldn't be a great boon to my future plans, and many of the more important members of the family were in Winterfell.
"You must be the captain from beyond the sunset sea," said the king "I've been trying out some of this whisky and vodka of yours. Real men's drinks they are".
A shame he'd be dead before the whisky had time to age. What he was drinking now was basically a way to more quickly kill whatever he had left for a liver.
"I'm glad you're enjoying them, Your Grace" I replied before I turned my attention to Eddard Stark "You wanted to see me, my lord".
He invited me to sit. Cameron kept her distance and acted as a servant should. Which meant that she might as well be invisible.
"I've been talking to His Grace..."
The king stopped us there.
"Ned you're my oldest friend and Gothic here isn't one of my subjects," he pointed out "Let's just talk like men. At least until this meeting is over".
I was fine with that.
"Very well," said the ruler of the Winterfell. "Gothic, Robert and I have been talking about the new ideas you've been introducing, and because some of them could be dangerous, I've asked for a number of royal writs".
I knew that royal writs were commands the king made that couldn't simply be carried out by having the ruling monarch yell it at someone. In the canon timeline, Ramsey Snow is legitimised as Bolton via a royal writ.
"By decree House Stark will oversee all production and selling of whisky, vodka in the Seven Kingdoms" Stark let me know "Whisky and vodka will be produced only in lands controlled by House Stark".
Basically, he'd just set up a monopoly and made it treason for anyone else to set up their own stills. It wouldn't stop people from making moonshine and selling it on a black market, but such products would only be sold to the poor, the merchants and lords would buy Winterfell Whisky.
"Also by degree House Manderly, will be given the sole right to the producing and selling of Elderflower wine" stated the soon to be Hand of the King.
I'd given Maester Luwin precise instructions on how to make Elderflower wine safely. The Maesters had known for a long time that Elderflowers are mildly toxic and have an unpleasant taste when raw. Cooking destroys the toxic chemicals found in the plant and makes them safe to use.
"In exchange for your aid to The North, you are to be granted the title of lord and will be given a holdfast here in The North" I was now being told by Lord Stark, "I have a few old keeps that could have stewards watching over them since you won't be settling down to rule any smallfolk".
If nothing else Dany would be happy about no longer being married to someone the Seven Kingdoms saw as a mere merchant even if I was a very rich and powerful one. She could now call herself a lady as could Dawn since she was known as my adopted ward and sort of daughter.
"Other products will be given to noble houses I'll decide upon," said Eddard "Robert has already signed a number of writs to that effect. All I have to do is decide which house gets what and then set ensure that a fraction of the profits will be collected on your behalf from taxes gathered from these products".
While Eddard would favour houses in the North, the Riverlands and the Vale, due to being allied with those kingdoms, I still stood to make a number of good investments. He hadn't tried to control upgraded steel production and that made sense since improving on the process of making steel wasn't something even Robert could deny to everyone other than his friend. There was only so much even a good king could get away with before lords started talking of rebellion.
"I want you to come down to Kingslanding" insisted the monarch "There are plenty of coppers to count if that takes your fancy and I want to see more of your ideas".
Well, I was going to do that anyway so it was easy to agree to.
"You'll need to talk to Maester Luwin about your house name, colours, and banner," Eddard told me "Once that is sorted Robert will sign your patent of nobility and I'll send it off to Kingslanding. Since Robert has already approved your elevation you can start calling yourself a lord from now on".
There were some minor matters for Eddard and me to discuss, and they didn't interest Robert so he went off while the work got done.
GOT - Part 31
Winterfell. The North.
I heard the noise of the feast before I actually entered the Great Hall. Even from outside, I could detect a cacophony made up of music, raucous laughter and even the odd squeal of delight.
"We're sitting at one of the back tables since we're just visitors," I said "I told Jon to save us some seats".
That must have stung Dany's pride a bit since as a princess she should have been sitting in the seat of highest honour, but I hadn't even been a lord when the sitting arrangments had been made and I'd purposely kept my distance from Lady Stark who had done all the organising for this grand event.
While she was somewhat under my control I didn't care much for her. I didn't trust her not to say something stupid to me when we were in front of someone who needed to remain ignorant of just how much influence I had here in Winterfell.
"Is it okay for me to drink?" asked Dawn "I know you want me to be careful with drugs or anything that might make me talk about something you don't want people to know.
At least she had some sense. She totally got that from me.
"You can relax and have some wine," I told her "We won't be sitting with anyone important. Just remember to give short answers to any questions. Ladies aren't expected to know much about men's business so best try to come off as ignorant if anyone asks questions".
Might as well use their sexist attitudes to our advantage.
"Dany knows how to handle these situations and she can't be drinking," I said.
She'd brought her own bottle of something that was chemically inoffensive and she wore a new dress as did Dawn that had been made to impress for the royal visit. I was glad that The Company paid me so well in cash that I could convert free of charge to local currency or their outfits would have eaten into my profits.
Not that I minded too much as they both looked good and seemed happy to play the roles I'd given them. Keeping my baby mama smiling was important since I valued her wellbeing over the others since she was pregnant and Dawn was partly made from me so I favoured her.
As for me, I'd gotten myself a rather nice black doublet with some silver fastenings. Tasteful since there wasn't too much silver. I really hoped I didn't spill anything on that as this outfit wasn't one you could simply machine wash and it had not been cheap.
"I'll keep an eye on my stepdaughter" my wife promised.
Huh, guess Dawn was her stepdaughter in a way. Odd that I had built myself a sort of family given that I'd never cared as much for the notion as most other people.
When we entered I saw that the Great Hall was indeed packed with people who were eating, drinking, laughing, and talking. A few bards played a tune I didn't recognise, even after weeks of me being here in this world.
"Go sit, I'll give the royal family their gifts," I said as I began to take the box I was carrying to the head table "I'll be with you soon".
I did that quickly and didn't say much since it was hard to hear anything with the feast being so noisy. I presented the queen and her adult daughter (she was the twin sister of the crown prince in this timeline and not heir to the throne due to her being a girl) with their own chokers.
Which they started wearing when Jaimie Lannister offered to put them on his sister and niece/daughter. I had to fight not to smirk at the sight of the Kingslayer helping me bind his own family. Since they were used to people trying to get their favour they didn't pay much attention to me after that.
Tyrion Lannister, one of my targets for binding wasn't here, so I gave the only bracelet I had to Jaime who put it on since he was smart enough to know who I was and that offending me wouldn't be a good idea. I suspected that I'd be getting a royal visit sooner rather than later so the queen could try to make me an ally of hers and tie me to her house.
I would sell the incest twins as soon as possible, and keep their daughter for myself. Hopefully, I'd be able to get more Lannisters later. I gave the crown prince some trinket I didn't care about and that was fine since he didn't even bother to address me.
The younger prince got some toys and he liked that since the poor boy looked bored by this whole affair. I knew from being that age that toy cars can make the most tedious of social events much more interesting.
As for the king, he was busy with some serving wench so I'd give him his gift later, or maybe not at all since he'd already given me what I wanted.
"Gothic!" I then heard Robb call me over. "Come have a drink with me".
I nodded and waved before making my way over to the young man. He was sitting alone, looking relieved to have someone to talk to at last. My eyes strayed to the side of the room, and I saw that Theon Greyjoy was sweet-talking a serving girl. Not for the first time, I considered murdering him for what he would do, but I hadn't done anything yet.
Since I was no fool, I'd already instructed Robb to never let Theon return to his father, but I'd rather sell him and I felt sure that once Robb knew about Greyjoy's betrayal he'd be on board with the idea should I get the chance to bind him.
"So the squid abandoned you?" I asked with a smirk.
The young lord nodded, and I wasn't that surprised to see him alone. He had to be careful about whom he made friends with, even more so than Jon since Robb was the heir. They might be seeking to influence his father through him, or spend all their time currying favour with Robb now for returns later when he ruled The North.
"Aye, our guests brought some servants with them and Theon can't resist a pretty face," said Robb before he changed the subject "Mother wasn't pleased about seating Jon in the hall. She listened to me when I told her he would be sitting with you and refusing Jon entry would be an insult to the North's newest noble family".
Familial bonds were strong and could interfere with orders given by me. Lady Stark would always see Jon as a threat to her children's inheritance so while I could stop her from telling her husband about the bindings, something Robb had actually done, I couldn't make her treat Jon much better. Shame that I couldn't risk pushing her too hard and exposing my influence. At least he'd be away from her soon.
"So news has already gotten around about my ennoblement?" I asked.
"No, father told me just before the feast started" answered Robb Stark "I needed to know these things if I'm going to rule in his place".
If, rather than when, so Eddard hadn't formally accepted his new role just yet.
"What's that you're carrying?" as he peered into the box I was carrying.
I showed him the trinket.
"A gift for the king," I told him as I let him inspect the trinket.
He didn't look at it for long as someone entered the hall who got the attention of many people.
"The fabled Imp, Tyrion Lannister" Robb said to me.
I couldn't make him out because of the people in the way, so I just grabbed my wine goblet and began drinking.
Soon I'd make my way down to Dany and Dawn soon, and have a few drinks with Jon. He was chatting with his aunt, no doubt happy to have someone from the other side of his family here to talk to.
Dany managed to dominate the table she sat at already. She had many eyes on her even without her Targaryen looks and it pleased me that I was the one who would get to fuck her later.
That would be later. For now, I wanted something to eat.Last edited: Mar 12, 2022
GOT - Part 32
High School. Sunnydale.
It was hard to stop Arya Stark, Jon Snow, and Meera Reed from stopping and staring at every little thing that we passed by, as we made our way into what remained of the high school that Amy Madison had attended until she'd turned herself into a rat.
"Hard to believe it's still standing" Amy commented.
We had come to Sunnydale, using Amy's portal from Grand Manor to get us here quickly. As to why we were here I had a few reasons. Mostly it was because I wanted to test the new app that I'd gotten for my Smartphone, one allowed me to select a waifu in a world I had access to and then it would track them for me. In theory, this would allow for much easier capturing of waifu.
Out of a list of targets spread over two worlds I'd selected Catherine Madison, the evil witch who had once body-swapped with her daughter, Amy, before ending up trapping herself in a cheerleader statue. The tracker was telling me that Catherine Madison was still within the High School and most likely trapped into the cheerleading trophy.
Another reason to come here was to show Arya, Jon and Meera something close to my homeland so that they could describe it to people back in Westeros who asked about their travels. The other Starks I'd laid claim to wouldn't be travelling with us so they didn't need to come here and see the sites on offer.
Jojen wanted to go north, he didn't need his sister to stay up there with me so I'd claimed her as my own in trade for helping her brother. Something she seemed happy enough as like Arya, who she got on with rather well, they both had a desire for adventure and I could offer travel, adventure and new experiences in great amounts.
They were even getting an adventure of sorts right now. We were here to secure the evil witch so that she could not escape her captivity and threaten the innocent once again. They even looked like a proper band of adventures with their medieval weapons and armour. If this were anywhere other than Sunnydale they'd have drawn a lot of attention.
While it was daytime I'd still brought Faith with me for protection. Black Widow was keeping the airship secure and Cameron was working on some project. Despite this being Sunnydale I wasn't too concerned about our safety since we'd be in and out before too long as it was too early in the season for Riley to be hiding out here.
"It gets demolished and a new school is put up" I mentioned to Amy as the natives of Westeros inspected a few things in a classroom that survived the mayor's failed attempt at ascension into an Old One "A school the Dawn in the show has to attend".
Not that the school lasts for long.
"She's somewhere around here," I told the group as we entered a corridor that didn't look too badly damaged "We're looking for a small gold-coloured statue of a woman".
Amy wasn't exactly enthusiastic to start looking.
"I can't believe my Mom is still here," she said.
Well, she wouldn't be for much longer. I would as planned place a piece of Tempest Jewellery on the statue and wait a few days. Then if it worked I'd sell the evil witch. If it didn't then I'd secure the statue in the vault I was going to have built within my little universe.
I needed the points and I'd used all of mine to buy the apps needed to make my Smartphone into a waifu tracker. I'd even needed to take out a loan of more credits. It was nothing I couldn't pay back, with the ability to hunt down waifu I'd be able to gain more points easily enough and taking out loans didn't affect my progress bar I should still be able to move on to the next world before too long.
Plus I'd have a much easier time finding Ygritte in the vast lands beyond the Wall. I fully intended for her to hook up with Jon Snow by having her be the one who actually grabs her and takes her to Grand Manor. This should count as him stealing her.
He'd object of course, and then I would remind him of what happens to her in the book series. About how she dies in a rather pointless battle that does nothing to get her people past the Wall.
There were other ways to help the Free Folk against the Walkers. I'd considered trying to move them one clan at a time into this world, but they'd have nowhere to go and there were too many of them to relocate that way. Plus they'd be very noticeable even in a world that tended to ignore those who moved from one dimension to another.
I might be able to get some of them to the demon dimension of Pylea, which for all its dangers was a place where humans could live, but moving so many people just wasn't practical.
Dawn needed to learn how to make and control portals. Then we could find some peaceful part of Planetos and try relocating them to a nicer climate that lacked any ice zombies. Perhaps there really was land across the Sunset Sea.
At the very least I should try to secure them a large amount of dragonglass so that they weren't slaughtered too easily by the White Walkers. That would involve a trip to Dragonstone as it was the largest source of dragonglass in Westeros and I could pay people to mine it for me.
Sure I have laser cannons and missiles, but unless the Walkers all gathered together to make a single target I wasn't going to be able to take them out until they attacked a big enough target like the Wall years from now when I had a nice nuke to drop on them.
In the short term, I would focus on finding Ygritte when I started seeking out the Three-Eyed-Raven. Ordering her and Jon to fall in love would be silly, but I could keep them together and let matters develop on their own. Assuming that they didn't kill each other.
"Is this it?" asked Arya.
She had indeed found a small trophy with very strange eyes.
"Yeah this is Amy's Mum," I said as I did my best to wrap a choker around the item "Now we just wait a few days and the evil witch will be sent far away".
That or locking her away was for the best. She might escape one day and after years spent as a trophy, any sanity she had left would be long gone.
GOT - Part 33
The Kingsroad. Seven Kingdoms.
"Gods, now this is country!" Robert declared as he stepped out from behind a tree that he had been urinating upon mere moments ago "I will miss all of this".
It was still summer here in the North and a pleasant say for a change. The sun was warm, and a pleasant breeze rustled the leaves in the trees. They had stopped alongside the road for a midday meal. Fresh fruit, soft white bread and meat that had been roasted an open fire were spread out before the King and his Hand.
Ned was a little worried about how happy Robert was given that his wife and good-brother had either been taken or had run off together, leaving their children behind.
Princess Myrcella had been oddly quiet about the whole thing, although that might have something to do with being left behind in Winterfell so as to learn how to be the future Lady Stark. Hadn't that been a shock to everyone? And the Queen hadn't been around to protest the sudden engagement.
The crown prince barely seemed to have noticed all of the fuss. Only the younger prince had been upset by his mother having left him and being parted from his sister. That made Lord Stark worry about the king's twin children. Myrcella might simply have been composed, but Joffrey was another matter and Ned hoped to find a way to break off Sansa's betrothal before Sansa was taken to the Sept of Balor for the wedding.
Eddard was mostly worried about what Lord Tywin Lannister would do once he found out that his son and daughter were missing. Would he blame the Starks? Or would he blame Robert? All of his children could be in danger regardless of whom they married.
Only Robb and little Rickin were somewhat safe behind Winterfell's walls and protected by good northern men. Robb should do well as acting Warden of the North, with his mother and Maester Luwin advising him. The death of Roose Bolton and his bastard was worrying, but Roose's heir was alive and well so that was something. And no more lords had been targetted.
Most of his children would be in Kingslaning before too long, a nest of vipers to be sure, and Eddard would have trust his men to watch his children when he couldn't, and for them to watch over each other. Ned hoped that his newest lord would be of help with that.
There had been no sign of foul play involved, Ser Jaimie and the Queen had simply vanished from a room that had been locked from the inside. There was no evidence that they'd climbed out the window and no reason for them to have tried since they could have simply left if they chose to.
Tywin Lannister might think that Robert had done something to his wife, but would even the king be that foolish? And how could he have made them vanish like that? There had been too many people at Winterfell for anyone to abduct the queen and a member of the Kingsguard without somebody seeing something.
"We need to talk about Tywin Lannister and what he will do now that two of his children are missing," Eddard said to his friend "If he blames my House for their disappearance then it could lead to war".
If the old lion believed that then he would attack and he would either have to do so by sea or by marching past the Neck, the swamps that made up the southern border of the North. That would involve going up the Kingsroad and past Moat Callin, which Ned had ordered to be manned with a lot of archers in case of trouble.
"Fuck the Lannisters. I'm surrounded by Lannisters" Robert said as he sat down and grabbed a mug of beer "I've half a mind to just take my horse and keep going, leave them all behind".
Eddard felt sure that the monarch understand that there was going to be a lot of fallout from his wife's vanishing act. Yet neither of them what to do about it and Stark understood that Robert simply didn't want to have to deal with it.
"I've half a mind to join you" the Hand replied.
As tempting as that was he had his duty, and a family to care for. Not to mention that a war could soon be starting.
"What do you say, Ned, just you and me on the road, swords at our sides, couple of tavern wenches to warm our beds tonight," Robert said with a grin "It's not we ever had the chance to do things like that when we were young".
King Robert knew that it would simply remain a dream. Ned could see it on the face of his old friend.
"Oh, I recall a few chances," Ned said with a grin.
Robert broke into a hearty laugh.
"There was that one, that common girl of yours," he said to Ned "Becka, with the big tits you could bury your face in!".
Lord Stark actually laughed this time.
"Bessie" Ned corrected him "She was one of yours".
The king recalled that this was true.
"Bessie! Thank the gods for Bessie and her tits!" Robert said as he laughed some more. "Who was that common girl of yours? Alena? Merril? Your bastard's mother"
The mood became more sombre.
"Wylla," Ned said quietly.
The king drank some ale before speaking further.
"She must have been a rare wench to make Lord Eddard Stark forget his honour even for a night" Robert teased "You never told me what she looked like".
There were things Eddard had no wish to talk about.
"Nor will I" replied Ned coldly.
Robert disliked how his friend thought so badly of himself. He did nothing to hide that fact.
"We were at war, none of us knew if we were ever going to go home again. You're too hard on yourself, you always have been" the monarch said.
From a pocket, he took out a small piece of parchment and then decided that it was time to discuss some other news.
"There was a rider in the night" Robert explained, as he handed a scroll over to Ned "The spider sent word".
Lord Stark read over the letter, grimaced and threw it down upon the table.
"Viserys Targaryen was killed by Dothraki horse-lord, what of it? Shall we send them a thank you gift?" Ned asked.
The king was not pleased, he'd thought this was news worth smiling about, at least in part.
"It is his sister that concerns me," said Robert "She's done a Cersei. She vanished from Pentos after the Magister who was sheltering her was killed along with Viserys".
Eddard wanted to change the subject, but this had to be discussed. It would be old news over in Essos, yet still relevant here.
"If she's not in Pentos then the Dothraki made her a slave" The Hand stated, "She'll be dead before too long or so broken she might as well be".
Robert's eyes were hard and cold.
"Assuming that she doesn't start breeding with some horse-lord," he said.
Eddard wasn't concerned.
"The letter says that the Dothraki were scattered and broken up" pointed out the Northern lord "So even if she ended up as the slave of some future Khal she and any children she has won't be any threat to us. The Dothraki don't sail".
Eddard wondered what had caused those savages to scatter. Varys, the spider, would no doubt have learned more by now.
"There's a war coming, I can feel it" Robert insisted
It was Tywin Lannister they needed to worry about. The kingdoms needed to prepare for a rebellion by House Lannister, not some girl who had most likely been raped and killed by a barbarian across the Narrow Sea.
There was a chance that Tywin would do nothing too direct since Robert still had his grandsons. Tywin might not want to risk going against Robert if doing so risked losing his eldest grandson the chance to take the throne.
Eddard had been smart enough to secure the Imp under the guise of protecting him so they had Tywin's heir as a hostage. It was also possible that the Queen and her brother might turn up.
There were simply too many unknowns.
GOT - Part 34
The Pathfinder. Heading North.
Not long after I'd sold the older set of the Lannister twins, the Kingslayer and the evil bitch queen, to The Company, Robert and his court had started heading south along with Eddard Stark, Sansa and Bran, who hadn't fallen from any towers in this timeline. That was when I'd known that it was time to start heading north under the guise of visiting the Wall before supposedly heading home across the Sunset Sea.
Not that I would be going so far west that was just wanted people to think. In reality, we'd be tracking down Ygritte before heading further north to find the Three-Eyed Raven. Then we would head west out to sea and after that go south with the intent of finding Lannisport. We should be able to do that if we followed the cost since as the name suggested that city was a port.
It would be a while before Tywin Lannister found out that his two eldest children were missing. Something that could start a war, by the time he'd gotten the news and organised his army, something that could take weeks if not longer, we should have arrived at Lannisport for some trading.
If all went well I should be able to get a meeting with Tywin Lannister by offering up a replacement for Brightroar, the Valryian steel greatsword that had been lost by the Lannisters many years ago. Hopefully, he would accept a bracelet at the same time, and while my group hung around for a few days for trading he'd come under my control.
Should I somehow be so super lucky to obtain Tywin, I could just stop him from starting a war in the first place. Sure it would weaken House Lannister's standing, but that was fine with me, and I'd have a powerful Lord-Paramount under my control. I planned for him to be the first of a few if I could manage it.
An unexpected thing to happen just before we left was to find out that King Robert had suddenly decided that Princess Myrcella would wed Robert Stark. Jon had told me that the king had said 'I'm taking a Stark to make her a princess so I'll give the Starks a princess of their own' I hoped this meant that he wasn't planning on replacing his now ex-wife with young Sansa. Although that would still be much better for her than her marrying the crown prince.
The Queen never did get around to visiting my airship. Perhaps she'd just not gotten around to it before I'd made the incest twins vanish off the face of Planetos.
"So I went with Blacksky as a house name and the words 'From Beyond The Sea' with a black banner that has an image of this airship on it in silver, as those are House colours," I told Jon Snow as we hung out on the bridge "Dawn hates the House name".
She thought it stupid for her to be called Lady Dawn Blacksky and I could understand why I just didn't care enough to change it if that was even possible. She liked being a noble lady at least as did Dany. The others didn't really care.
As for the House words they had been 'From Beyond The Sunset Sea' but I'd gotten rid of the Sunset part because I figured that 'From Beyond The Sea' was better as it says that we were from far away without giving away any needless details. Makes us sound a bit mysterious as well.
It should work in any other fantasy worlds we went to that weren't fully mapped.
"Your family sword is Lightbringer and you have a daughter named Dawn," said Jon "That sounds like something from a story".
That reminded me of something I'd almost forgotten to give to Jon. An item that I soon drew out of my pocket dimension.
"This is for you," I told him.
He inspected the box.
"What is it?" he asked.
"Open it and see," I said with a noticeable smile on my face.
Jon was frowning in confusion or concern when he unlocked the chest, he had absolutely no idea what could be hidden in it and that seemed to bother him. I made a mental to never organise a surprise party for him.
"It's a sword," he said, sounding rather surprised. "Why are you giving me a sword?".
He hadn't seen the blade the metal was made from.
"It is not just any sword" I informed him "Look at it closely."
Jon took the sheath in his hand and looked at the hilt of the sword. Then
he drew the weapon from its protective cover.
"The blade looks like Ice, only smaller and different colour" Jon was now saying "This is Valyrian steel, isn't it".
I'd considered giving him Blackfyre as he had some right to it. I'd dismissed the idea Dany wanted that sword for our son since it was the sword of kings. Jon wouldn't want to be king, but give him Blackfyre and he might find himself on the throne anyway as fate could be funny like that.
"How did you come by it?" Jon wanted to know.
He must have forgotten that I'd been to Valyria.
"I found a few treasures in the Freehold that I told no one about. The dagger I gave to Lord Stark was just one of those treasures" I let him know "Robb will inherit Ice and that dagger, you will have White Fang".
The weapon was a bastard sword, or a hand and a half sword as they were also known, and this meant that it was a good half a foot longer than a standard longsword, the kind Jon normally used. The blade of this weapon was tapered to thrust as well as slash and this would be useful in facing men in plate armour something that was much more common down south. Even magical swords can have trouble with plate armour.
As for the pommel that was direwolf's head, only it wasn't snarling as it was meant to be Ghost's head and that direworf didn't growl or howl.
"It's longer than you're used to," I said to Jon as he gently moved the sword in a slow version of a thrust he'd been taught "But since Valryian steel is so light in weight it should be too hard for you to learn to wield".
I'd gotten a northern style scabbard to go with it when I'd paid Winterfell's smith to make the pommel and keep it a secret. That required a bottle of good whisky to go along with man's normal pay. Well worth it and I'd found rubies for the wolf's eye from my treasure stash.
"You can wear this one slung over your back," I suggested.
A bastard sword allowed the wielder to use the weapon with one or two hands while also providing outstanding grip; furthermore, the sword's flexibility also made it a very good blade to utilize since it offered the user excellent reach, great power, and adequate control. All in all, I thought that he would do well with this weapon.
"What did you call it?" Jon asked me.
I'd already given that matter some thought when deciding to give Jon this sword in place of Longfang which he wouldn't get from Lord-Commander Mormont in this timeline. I'd realised that this meant Mormont might die in this timeline, but he also might not, since Ghost found the dormant wights when Jon went to speak his oath before the weirwood that was north of the Wall.
"White Fang," I answered, "It's named after a story I heard many years ago, one about a friendship between a man and a wolf. Seemed appropriate for you".
Okay so White Fang had been a husky if I recalled correctly and not a proper wolf, but Ghost wasn't really a normal wolf either, or even a normal direwolf as he seemed odd compared to his littermates, too quiet and for the runt of the pack he was huge.
"I like that name," said Jon "Thank you. I'll take care of it. I promise".
Before either of us got all mushy, I decided that it was best to change the subject. Besides, it had hadn't been a gift given in pure kindness, we were going north of the Wall, the land of ice, snow, wights and White Walkers. It would be better for everyone if my sworn shield had a weapon that could destroy the dead and slay ice demons.
GOT - Part 35
The Wall. The North.
I'd learned from my sources that The Wall was a colossal fortification that stretched for 100 leagues (300 miles) along the northern border of the Seven Kingdoms. The Wall was over 700 feet tall and was made of solid ice with a base of stone.
The Maesters believed that its purpose was to defend the realm from the wildlings who lived beyond. They didn't seem to understand that there was no way a people with limited manpower and resources wouldn't have made The Wall just to keep people out and that was no way this could be done by what had been a bronze age people.
According to other sources, it was supposedly constructed using both magic and mundane means some eight millennia ago, making use of giants for labour and spells cast by the Children of the Forest. Since they'd created the White Walkers with magic it made sense that they could come up with ways to repel them with magic.
Now that I was actually here at The Wall I couldn't imagine why anyone with a functioning mind could ever think that their ancestors built the Wall to keep out mere men. The Great Wall of China didn't look as imposing as this massive construction. It made the works of my own ancestors seem so puny.
The Wall was defended by the Sworn Brothers of the Night's Watch. They had once been an honourable institution, now the Watch had fallen on hard times. The castles here had become grievously undermanned, as the Night's Watch now numbered less than a thousand men, an all-time low.
While once there had been great glory and honour in joining the Night's Watch, in the present day it was little more than a glorified penal colony. A way for large noble families to get rid of troublesome heirs as well as to clear up space in their dungeons.
As for the current headquarters of the Watch, which was Castle Black a location found at the northern end of the Kingsroad, it had also seen better days, but it wasn't in that bad of a state as it was the only fully manned castle on The Wall.
There was also Eastwatch-by-the-Sea, located at the eastern end of the Wall, which served as port and resupply post for the Night's Watch. Aside from them, The Shadow Tower at the western end of The Wall was the only other manned castle.
That was something Jon made note of in the report he intended to deliver to his father once we made it to King's Landing. I didn't know if Lord Stark had actually asked Jon to check things out here if it was just something Jon had told the Lord-Commander so that we'd have easier access to Castle Black. I'd enquire about it later.
Among the abandoned castles along the length of the Wall was the Nightfort, the first fortress built along The Wall and the original headquarters of the Night's Watch. According to legend there had once been a Night's King, not to be confused with the Night King the leader of the Walkers, who had ruled from the Nightfort after declaring himself king, and had performed dark rituals.
He'd also supposedly taken a female White Walker as a bride, however, all the Walkers were male as far as I knew as such if it had ever happened I didn't think any real White Walkers had been involved.
More likely the Night's King had fallen under the sway of some magic-user, like Stannis had in the books and show, and had simply gone mad before being put down by both the Wildlings and the Starks, who had teamed up to talk him down.
I'd heard from the Maester here at Castle Black, who happened to be Jon and Dany's great-great Uncle, that back when King Jaehaerys I Targaryen visited Winterfell, Queen Alysanne Targaryen flew on Silverwing, her dragon, when visiting the Wall.
Her dragon's refusal to cross The Wall puzzled and disturbed the queen, and I wondered if the beast had been able to sense the dangers beyond The Wall. It would make sense given that dragons are creatures of magic yet the dragons belonging to Danyerus went beyond The Wall so I didn't quite know what to make of that story.
The region south of the Wall is called the Gift, and it was bestowed to the Night's Watch by House Stark thousands of years ago to supply the Night's Watch with food and other provisions. I didn't know how that worked, but I guessed that The Watch either paid for workers to toil on their lands or they rented out to the land and took a portion of the finished goods as the rent.
What I did know for sure was the Nights Watch had very little coin to do any trading with so it was good for them that I'd donated some blankets and some other stuff I cared nothing about. Dany had actually arranged that, she could be very generous with my money and we could buy cheap stuff from Sunnydale so it hadn't really cost me much.
The Master here also told me in the past, the Night's Watch would send men out every morning to the north side of the Wall to cut down any trees growing within one mile of the structure, so the wildlings couldn't use any natural cover to approach the base of the Wall undetected.
With the ranks of the Night's Watch drastically diminishing over the years, many of the areas between the three forts that are still manned had tall trees almost growing right up to the base of the Wall. I could see from here that this was true.
The only thing I'd seen in this world that was more impressive than The Wall was the view while standing on top of The Wall. It was an experience to treasure and like Tyrion Lannister I found myself wanting to piss off the edge, but unlike him, I resisted this urge since it seemed very disrespectful to those who went to all that trouble to build this defensive barrier.
"So what do you think of the view?" I asked Jon.
He turned away from whatever it was he'd been looking at and faced me.
"I've already been up here. Twice," he told me "The first time was with my Uncle Benjen, he wanted to be with me when Arya and I saw it the first time. I think it's the best part of this place".
I'd brought Benjen Stark back to The Wall along with some recruits from the Stark's dungeons and supplies from Winterfell.
Mr Snow wasn't too impressed by the men of the Night's Watch. Ser Alistar Thorne, if that was his name, was a total git to my complete lack of surprise. Most of the new recruits were crooks, and the only decent fellows around were old men. There was a recruiter who wasn't too bad at least. And Jon's Uncle was okay, the rest could go hang for all I cared.
Because of the number of men here who'd not been with a woman for a long time, not counting trips to nearby Mole Town, I'd kept most of my companions on the airship when not meeting with someone. I didn't wish to unleash Cameron and Black Widow upon anyone here as the Nights Watch barely had enough men as it was.
"Well I for one don't want to stick around for much longer," I said to the young man "We need to go even further north. Beside's there's a lot to see between here and King's Landing".
I'd like to see Harrenhall and some of the other castles.
"If for some reason service at The Wall does appeal to you well it's not going anywhere" I reminded my Sworn Shield "You can come back when you're an experienced warrior and show that old bugger in the training yard what a real man can do".
That prospect amused Jon.
"Aye I suppose we can't leave my father alone in that hive of scum and villainy for too long," he said.
That was how I had described King's Landing to him.
"I gave the bracelet to Uncle Benjen, you know the one like mine" Jon told me as we began making our way down "I know that it might not make a difference, but I had to try".
The ranger recently went out there to do his job and he might die before I got even a point for him, or he might last that long and survive due to the defence perks the group all shared.
I hoped that they prevented him from becoming an undead thing and that he just died peacefully if he didn't make it. I could sell him if he lived long enough for the bracelet to take effect. That was something to discuss with Arya and Jon later on. As you said, its been there for thousands of years. These are medieval people in a world bereft of magic(for the most part) for generations already.
The Wall is to them nothing but a relic of a forgotten time, fact of life(simply being there, like a mountain) and convenient defense against Wildlings.
Walkers are considered less than myths, nearly forgotten themselves.
It does make sense to an outsider like MC the Wall couldn't have been intended to bar the way of mere barbarian tribes, locals aren't thinking anything of it.
But, this is a rant to an MC who thought enough to be awed at the wall, not enough to reponder thst line of thought. GOT - Part 36
Grand Manor. Extradimensional Space.
Rather unexpectedly Meera Reed suddenly entered my room, during one of the rare times I was in here alone and also awake. If there hadn't been a slight noise then the door close I wouldn't have noticed that she'd come in.
Currently, I was lying in bed while reading a rather large book, the original version had been copied by Cameron, from one of the very rare texts kept within the library of Castle Black by the old Maester who had been willing to lend us a few rare texts as Luwin as long as we left something to act as insurance against damage.
This book documented many legends of the White Walkers. Clearly, the writer of this book had never actually seen a White Walker or met anyone who had since, he had them all wrong, they were not all attractive and they didn't ride ice spiders. Which would have been so cool.
That all the information was so wrong wasn't surprising since they seemed to have buggered off somewhere for thousands of years. My thinking was that the last of the Children of the Forest had found some way to contain the Walkers that survived the War for the Dawn.
In recent times they'd lost the power to do that, perhaps their numbers had simply dwindled to too much. I stopped thinking about the Walkers soon after the waifu entered my bedroom.
"Thank you for healing my brother" was all Meera had to say.
She undressed quickly and got under the covers that weren't really needed to keep us warm due to this being a tropical paradise, the kind of place you could prance around naked in and some of the girls did. Despite that young Meera seemed glad to share my body heat. I didn't get to see much of her body, but I certainly got to feel it.
Although I didn't think her proximity had anything to do with her feeling a bit cold, the small woman still shivered a little when I touched her, not out of fear, even if she looked a little nervous, it was a result of me using my Sticky Fingers lure to stimulate her body.
I'd not done this to her before so she wasn't prepared for what I could do with the female body. She was about to find out and I was sure that she'd come back for more even if I hadn't bound her to me.
Her breasts were firm in my hands, small and comfortable to hold. They wouldn't be much to look at, yet this hardly mattered to me as I rather liked her slim figure and she was pleasing enough to look at.
I'd not intended to have sex with Meera as our deal involved getting Jojen to the far north, but I wasn't going to resist her now that she'd crawled into my bed.
As I used my hands to explore and stimulate her body, we kissed and Meera whimpered into my mouth, she tasted of toothpaste, something that my companions from this world had embraced using very quickly.
She dug her nails into my arms as I touched her body, and she seemed stronger than expected given her size and she'd entered my room without me even hearing come in.
Before now I had spent a few moments wondering if the stories about her First Men ancestors having interbred with the Children of the Forest back when the two species had mixed, could have some truth to them even if made no sense in terms of biology.
Magic could cause stranger things to happen and it certainly would explain why the Crannogmen, as her people were known, were small, stealthy, they used primitive weapons like the Children were supposed to and I sensed something off about Jojen, but he was just odd and a pawn of The Three-Eyed Raven.
I didn't dwell on such thoughts for long, rather I did my best to have fun with Meera who'd taken advantage of Grand Manor to remove any unwanted hair.
As one of my hands stimulated her cunt her hips bucked and she began to hump the hand while enjoying what my fingers were doing. The sheer amount of heat coming from between her legs and the slickness would have clued me into what a horny woman I had with me even if she hadn't been humping my hand.
She must have been very eager to get off and she has reached her climax before long while pushing herself into me. I didn't hold back and I made her cum. She was loud for such a tiny figure.
It took Meera some time to recover from that and I wondered if she was going to fall asleep without returning the favour.
"Do you want me to put it in my mouth, my lord?" she murmured
She didn't even bother to wait for an answer. Rather she moved her small body down the bed and began doing her best to make me happy. She clearly knew what to do with her mouth, she was no chaste proper southern lady that I knew for sure.
This was good because while there were some strong women among the nobility a lot of them were little more than wombs on legs for their husbands while they still looked pretty to be fucked. I needed my companions to be much more than that.
I knew that Meera was doing her best to thank me for easing her brother's suffering so much even if this was partly about her needing some attention from a man. House Reed didn't have riches to shower me with so all Meera had to give in return was herself. Something I didn't mind at all.
"My lord, I want you inside me" she begged.
I got on top of her, intending to use her warm, wet fuckhole as a cumdump, something we both wanted. I could see the longing in her eyes, the need for me to be inside her, it was more than just a physical attraction provided by the bindings.
For a time I stopped thinking about anything at all, and I just fucked the willing woman whose nails decided that savaging me like a shadow cat would be a good idea, not I felt much from that as I was far too distracted by the here and now.
Meera moaned under me and then gasped as I began to pick up my pace. Her small body and tight cunt felt good as I focused on enjoying this activity. There was just my pleasure and the very willing woman I was using to get it.
Then it was time for me to cum inside her. I finished inside her without a care and then decided that I would let her sleep for a while before fucking her again.
GOT - Part 37
The Pathfinder. North Of The Wall.
Ygritte of the Free Folk, those called Wildlings in the south, was our target, and props to her she was making a chase out of it. That made me glad that I'd not gone out there myself and that I'd purchased a two-seater snowmobile for Cameron to take out with Jon so he could steal Ygritte.
We'd have to lock her for a few days for the binding to take effect even if she was willing to be taken. If she resisted it could take much longer, but she would become part of my group.
None of my companions had been thrilled with the idea of chasing down the Wildling woman, but I needed all the points I could get and also to fill my progress bar. Besides, she'd be better off with Jon rather than with a bunch of savages. Also, she'd live a lot longer if she stayed with us and Snow really needed a girlfriend.
Not that I blamed Olly at all for killing Ygritte since she'd kill Olly's father and everyone in Olly's village which would be all of his friends and family. Some of them were eaten by cannibals so I had no idea why people hated Olly.
Fuck you Ygritte you red-headed psychopath.
I might even have saved those villagers by binding Ygritte. That made me feel good about myself.
I'd ordered Cameron to kill or disable if possible, any Wildlings that Ygritte was with and while that seem needlessly harsh I knew that the Free Folk would happily kill us all and try to take my airship for themselves if given half a chance so no sense pussyfooting around. Not that they had any chance of taking the Pathfinder from me since I wouldn't be lowering the ramp for any of them.
What mattered to me was that I got to stay inside my heated airship and monitor what was going on outside via my Smartphone rather than have to run about in the cold. I could even get verbal reports of what was going on thanks to the ability of the Tempest Jewellery to act as communications gear as long as I used the right app on my Company provided Smartphone.
"We have the target and the Wildlings with her with were terminated" Cameron let me know "We are being chased by an unknown number of wights".
I'd wondered if any of the dead might get involved.
"Get back here as soon as you can," was my command.
Rather than panic, I took a few deep breathes and quickly went over what I knew about the wights, which was a decent amount thanks to watching the show, I knew that wights were a deceased body that has been reanimated by one of the White Walkers. I also knew that a wight may be created from any cadaver they don't have to be human remains, but most of them are.
Aside from employing a few weaknesses, the only way to take down a wight would be to destroy the body as even without their heads the wights can still try to attack people. So if we hadn't prepared for such an encounter we'd be in a lot of trouble right now. Even guns wouldn't be of much use unless you used a lot of bullets. Unlike zombies, you can't take down these dead things with a headshot.
"Everyone with a gun is to meet me at the bottom of the ramp" I ordered over the ship's comm system "Make sure the ship is secure".
I knew that Wights were vulnerable to fire. Their flesh and bones were extremely flammable as they had been coated in oil. This meant that a wight would easily catch fire and continue to burn if exposed to even a small amount of flame.
Just like the White Walkers, wights can also be killed permanently by weapons made of dragonglass or Valyrian steel, the latter of which we had.
It was also revealed in the show that if a White Walker died, the wights that it raised would also be instantly destroyed, this meant that there was some sort of magical bond between the Walkers and their wights. However unless one of us managed to slay the Walker commanding the dead things heading our way, that didn't really matter.
I was met at the bottom of the ramp by the clone crew who handled security. They wore body armour that reminded me of riot gear. Not that it really mattered as wights don't use projectile weapons as if they got close enough to stab anyone they'd have already overwhelmed us anyway with sheer numbers.
What gave me the confidence to face the coming threat was that we the clones and I carried Cameron's homemade versions of the Westinghouse M-25 Phased Plasma Pulse-Guns. They would work on wights because plasma is super-heated matter and wights go up like a bra that's been stuffed with tissue paper.
"Is that a flamethrower?" I asked Faith as she came down the ramp.
My question had been born out of surprise rather than confusion since I could clearly see that it was.
"Yeah, Fred made it for me," she said "She's getting ready to take off as soon as you give the order".
I had been wondering what the cute little Texan had been up to recently, aside from figuring out the science behind the portals that sent to that hell-dimension. Now I knew.
"Well we might need your flamer if they get in close," I told the Slayer.
Black Widow was also here and she had a rifle of her own. Only hers was a sniper version of the phased plasma rifle that had much greater range than my mine and it had a scope she was using to keep an eye for enemies.
We weren't unprepared for this fight I'd known that the Walkers were active and that we might run into some. Hence the snowmobile and why I'd gotten Cameron to make us plasma weapons when getting more normal guns would have been much easier.
The snowmobile was heard before they were seen. Before long Jon and Cameron, with a tied up, Ygritte went up the ramp and looked around for a target. There were none around.
"We should leave," said Cameron when she came back down the ramp "They will be here soon".
I felt a little stupid at this point because I'd just realised that the snowmobile had a top speed of about seventy miles per hour and while wights don't tire they are limited by their physical frames. So they'd easily been outrun.
"Okay, I guess we'll take off and blast them from the sky," I said.
I was feeling both silly and a bit disappointed that we wouldn't be having any cool action scene, but I'd be foolish for risking my life so I headed up the ramp. Assuming the Walkers didn't hide using a snowstorm it should be easy to deal with them.Last edited: Mar 14, 2022 Like Quote ReplyReport Reactions:dronmk2, rickardlindrothyahoo, Daimon Agafo and 127 othersGothicjedi666Mar 14, 2022Reader modeNewAdd bookmark Threadmarks mrayj45Not too sore, are you?Mar 14, 2022Add bookmark#433May seem silly in hindsight but you don't know if there are wights under the snow where you landed or if more were approaching from another direction better safe then sorry. If he landed the ship on them they'd have been crushed. Plus the lands north of the Wall are vast so the chances of landing near some wights that have just been left in the snow are very little. The ones that killed Jojen and nearly get the rest of Bran's group were clearly set up well in advance to stop people from getting to the Three-Eyed Raven's cave.
Even if the Night King can predict where someone will be far in advance he can't foresee the MC or his group clearly due to Trace Defence. GOT - Part 38
Three-Eye Raven's Cave. North Of The Wall.
Finally, I got some action. A number of skeletons came leaping out of the snow as Cameron, Faith, Jon, Arya, Meera, Jojen and I made our way from the airship to the cave.
Wisley, I hadn't wanted to take too large of a group with me as I'd worried that we'd get in each other's way if there was a big fight, and we didn't all have to visit the cave at the same time.
Since I'd warned everyone about the ambush they all knew to stand in a rough circle and to shoot anything that wasn't alive, or if they didn't know how to shoot, they would stab anything that got close.
I opened fire with my plasma rifle and a magically animated skeleton dropped to the ground like a puppet with cut strings. The rest of the dead things soon joined them as Cameron expertly blasted them with plasma before any of them got close.
The fight didn't last very long. Much like with the group we'd blasted with a few missiles after grabbing Ygritte.
"None of them even got near me," said Arya.
Since she was so hard to read I didn't know if that was meant as praise or if she was upset about not getting a chance to use Needle (Jon had given her the sword years ago) or the Valyrian steel dagger I'd given her.
"I was supposed to die here" stated Jojen.
Yeah, screw that he was getting into that damn cave.
"It wasn't much of an ambush" I commented.
Perhaps the Walkers would turn up in force later and we'd have a real battle on our hands before we left these lands. For now, we had other magical stuff to deal with.
"Are those Children of the Forest?" asked Jon.
They did look like children. They were dressed in furs and holding spears tipped with dragonglass.
"Yep" was all I said on the matter.
When we got to the entrance of the cave we stopped and waited to be invited in.
"Just you" one of them instructed.
Cameron protested the idea of me going off alone, and I would have insisted on her protection if not for the feeling I got that the Children really didn't like Cameron. Perhaps they had senses that allowed them to feel that she wasn't a natural thing. I'd rather not let this come to blows as that would certainly lead to genocide if these were the last of the Children. Cameron would kill them all if they harmed me.
"If anything happens to me try not to kill them all," I said to my cyborg, making sure that I spoke in English, doable since the translation feature of the Tempest Jewellery can be disabled "I'll make a portal out if they make any threatening moves".
Some of the Children of the Forest guided me deep into the cave and before long I stood before The Greenseer who looked a little annoyed with me. I could tell that he was not my biggest fan.
Ever since I'd become a dragon rider I'd become more sensitive to all things magical and there was a lot of magic here. Thinking about it I realised that must take a lot of mystical energy to change the past or even to simply view it.
"So are you upset about me messing with all your plans?" I asked.
I wondered if there was anything he could do about it. If Bran could alter the past in some way then could this version of the greenseer do the same? How did you protect yourself against something like that? Maybe I should take out another loan and purchase the Paradox Defence Perk? Then again if he could kill me by changing the past wouldn't he have done that already? And since he couldn't see me with his mystical powers he shouldn't be able to target me.
"We need not be enemies. I will adjust," said the old man in the tree roots "I believe that we can become allies".
I had some questions that needed answering and I'd come a long way for them.
"What exactly is your plan?" I asked.
I figured that in the show he'd sort of downloaded himself into Brandon Stark and then manipulated events to make himself king. Something he might be able to keep doing even with my interference. With his ability to see everything that's going on and with the power to guide those events he could never be overthrown.
"My plan is the only hope Westeros has to be freed from endless cycles of war," said Bloodraven "The Night King must be stopped and wheel must be broken if the realms are to be saved".
Perhaps I should destroy him now as if anything was true in this world; it was that no one with power did anything to benefit others unless it also benefited themselves.
"Somehow I doubt that you'll be working for anyone other than yourself," I said.
Bloodraven kept his voice firm.
"I have seen the past and into the future," he told me "Even if the Night King is defeated there will come a day when conflict will destroy all of Westeros. The kingdoms will fracture until they break completely, and knowledge will be lost".
So if they don't get an ice age they'll get a dark age, more of one than they have now. I could see all of them becoming like the Free Folk and as hard as it was to imagine life for the Smallfolk could actually get worse.
"I have all the lands burn and be reduced to deserts harsher than Dorne," said the Greenseer.
Sounded like someone was going to go crazy with the wildfire and while Bloodraven might be lying I could see how such visions would drive him to do so many things. Given what was at stake I wasn't sure I could protest his actions.
It wouldn't be the first time he'd done something evil to prevent a war. He ended up at the Wall because he killed one of the Blackfyres while they were under the protection of guest rights. I didn't recall the exact details, but it was similar to how the Red Wedding ended the Lannisters ' war with The North.
"I doubt that Jon and Arya will just let you take over their little brother" I mentioned "Starks try to look after each. The lone wolf dies but the pack survives".
Not that Catylen or Sansa seem to get that. They were all Tully.
"Brandon will come to me only if he wishes to," said the old man in the tree "Like with Jojen it must be his choice".
Well, I didn't have to help or hinder Bran. Jon and Arya might feel differently, but I could just let them interfere if they wanted to, and stay out of it myself.
"What you want from me?" I enquired.
No harm in asking.
"You can save the Children and destroy the Night King" I was told.
We had a nuke for the White Walkers, we just needed to know where they were so that we could drop it on them.
"How do I save the Children," I asked.
I'd noticed that these people looked less human now that we were within the cave. They must employ some sort of glamour when meeting humans so as not to freak them out. This would explain why Leaf looked so different when Bran first sees her when compared to when he's living in the cave.
A few of them came forward and handed me what I assumed to be a bow made from Weirwood and arrows that had tipped with dragonglass, some attempt at bribing me. Once Ygritte came over to my team I'd hand these over to her.
"I do not know" admitted the Greenseer "I just see that those left will be able to give them offspring".
That I could help with. If they became familiars I could control their fertility they just needed to be having sex with males of their species.
Assuming any of them were male. They were too androgynous and alien for me to tell.
I'd rather not sire any of their offspring in case we ended up with hybrid offspring that the mothers hated because they were part human. Even if the Children of the Forest didn't care then most of humanity would see them as abominations, and they might be able to survive here as their mothers could even if they shared my Defence talents.
"If you can tell where I can find the Night King then I'll ensure he is dealt with" I promised.
I would have done it anyway.
"He is coming here" I was warned.
Well, that would simplify matters greatly. I can't use a nuke this close to the tree and the caves, but I knew Cameron was working on other things with Fred's help. Maybe they can whip up something that will make a lot of fire. Once the wights were out of the way we'd have to see if the Valyrina steel bullets worked as hoped.
If the Night King proved immune to that, which he shouldn't be given how he dies in the show, I even had a plan to capture him for binding. He was worth quite a few points, but it would be much better to just outright kill him given how dangerous he was.
"In exchange, there is much I can teach you" Bloodraven offered.
At least I didn't have to worry about him taking over my body as I had both Mind Defence and Possession Defence.
As for what he could teach me that would a lot. I could watch the actions of every magic user to step foot in Westeros dead or alive. At the very least I'd like to learn to warg.
He also mentioned needing magical items to help keep the cave safe. That was doable as we had stuff from Valyria that I would be willing to part with and minor magical trinkets from Buffy's world.
"I'm willing to work with you to save the Children and end the Night King" I decided "I will even help advance your plans as long they don't harm the people I care about. We'll take that part one step at a time".
Once I was gone he could do as he pleased as long as certain people weren't harmed. When the day came that my son was to sit on the throne I could deal with Bloodraven myself. He wouldn't be able to see me coming and he'd make a fine caretaker for the kingdoms for a time.
In the short term, we'd have to find out if it was possible for us to commune via the weirwoods network even with my perks. Failing that perhaps one of the Children could pass messages to me via the Tempest Jewellery. They should be willing to wear them if it means preventing the end of their race.
"I also have a gift for you," said the Three-Eyed Raven.
My attention was drawn to a sword that was just resting against a wall of the cave. For some reason, I'd not noticed until now.
"It is Dark Sister," he said.
I'd figured that he might have this weapon stashed away. It had once belonged to Visenya Targaryen, the sister-wife of Aegon the Conqueror. A great warrior in her own right. Dark Sister was thinner than Blackfyre, but since it was magical that didn't mean it was fragile.
"I was going to ask you about Dark Sister" I mentioned.
If anyone had a right to this weapon it was Dany. She couldn't wear in public as noble ladies rarely carry swords, not that this stopped her from having a dagger on her person, but she should at least have the sword.
GOT - Part 39
The Pathfinder. North Of The Wall.
"They're still heading this way, coming from the north-west," I told everyone on the bridge "The Night King is with them".
The numbers of wights and other Walkers didn't really matter for this plan, all that we needed to do was kill the Night King and then every wight and Walker would die with him, or in the case of the wights, they'd stop moving about and trying to kill people.
Given the sheer size of the force heading our way, the Night King must somehow have known that there was a great threat to his plans around here. He wouldn't have to see any of us in his visions he might have just seen my airship and he must have known about it well in advance of us landing outside the cave of the Three-Eyed Raven.
The Three-Eyed Raven had known we were coming and since he'd be able to deduce that whatever it was clouding his visions must be new to this world it wouldn't have been hard for him to figure that the flying vessel, that was unlike anything seen before, must be connected to whatever it was messing with the visions of mystics.
As for me warging into animals (something I'd learned to do very quickly once I'd eaten the weirwood paste and gotten hooked into the network, paste that certainly wasn't mashed up Jojen since he was still alive) that was giving me a headache, it's very dislocating to see the world as an animal and then switch back to a human perspective a moment later.
Still, I'd needed to warg if we were going to carry out our plan. Because we had to know exactly where the Night King was and by placing a tracking device on a crow, a bird I'd been forced out of when the Night King saw it, we now knew enough to target the Night King with the bomb.
"Is it really going to be this easy?" asked Arya.
She was having a hard time wrapping her head around the idea that we were going to take out the legendary enemy of all mankind without ever even laying eyes on him, or in my case, not my own eyes. People from Westeros didn't have a frame of reference for what we were about to do. Tyrion's use of wildfire came closest.
"The device is in place" Cameron reported over the comm.
Then now was the time.
"My people have perfected the art of killing each other at the push of a button" I assured the Starks and the lone Reed before I turned on the comm "You may fire when ready".
When the bomb was dropped all we felt was shaking because we were very high up in the air, about 32 thousand ft. We easily matched the speed and height managed by the Enola Gay, a more than half a century old aircraft.
"I can feel it" declared Leaf "He's gone".
Since Leaf had made the Night King that meant they were connected on some level. She'd felt him die and it made her feel weak for a few seconds as the connection they shared came to an end. One of them dying wouldn't kill the other, or Leaf would have ended her own life a long time ago or the Night King would have died when she died in the show.
"That was it?" asked Meera.
The locals looked disappointed.
"I thought this would be more dramatic" admitted Jon "That we'd be like the heroes of old and win the war for the Dawn".
Technically we had.
"Well I have a sword called Lightbringer and I sort of defeat the Night King" I pointed out "It was a team effort".
Okay, so the nuke was Cameron's plan, but that didn't mean I couldn't play the role of the chosen one. In fact, I felt sure that some higher power had been guiding me towards that. Although I couldn't be sure it wasn't all just dumb luck and me being somewhat paranoid.
"In the story of the Last Hero, Westeros's version of the tale of Azor Ahai, the hero travels with a group of friends to seek out the Children of the Forest in order to gain the knowledge required to defeat the White Walkers," I reminded everyone as we'd all heard the story by now "Which we did, and if you consider the bomb we dropped to be Lightbringer than this could be a retelling of the old story".
It worked fine for me and it's not like anyone knew how the Walkers were actually defeated the First Time. Well, Leaf would know since she was there. I should ask her about it before I headed south.
Besides, I didn't have to stab my wife in the chest to make a magic sword so I figured that I'd done a better job than Azor Ahai. Although Cameron had been planning to use one of the fission cells in her torso to make the bomb and would have if the warehouses hadn't given what she needed.
"I guess we just thought it would be more of an adventure," Arya said, "That there would be a big battle".
That would have been stupid even if it would have looked cool. And sure I'd gotten one of the Valyrian swords melted down to make bullets, it worked for Crowly in Supernatural, but that had just been in case things went pearshaped.
Even my plan to capture the Night King had ended up way down my list of plans as it would have only been worth trying if we couldn't easily kill him.
"I did have plans in place in case the nuke wasn't ready or if the Night King brought a smaller force that managed to avoid detection" I reminded everyone "We went over them, this was just safer for us and everyone else in the world. The bomb went off in an area that isn't inhabited by people or much in the way of animals".
Which didn't mean that everything was sunshine and roses.
"Sure the Wildings are still a threat to the North, but they have been for thousands of years," I was now saying "and they are only massing together under Mance Ryder because of the Walkers. So there's a chance that they'll disband once they realise there aren't being attacked anymore".
Or maybe I'll need to travel north and do to the wildlings what I did to that Dothraki horde outside of Pentos, but that would be a long time from now, assuming that I got involved at all.
"Men kill each other" stated Leaf "And men breed to regain their numbers".
No one spoke for a few moments.
"Let's go back to the cave and check in with Bloodraven just to be sure" I decided "No sense taking chances".
I didn't doubt Leaf exactly, but it wouldn't hurt to verify.
GOT - Part 40
Just Outside of Paris. The BTVS Verse.
Due to Faith badly needing some slaying action and because I needed the points, I'd decided to put a group together and go on a hunt for a waifu who I could hunt down without worrying about the Scooby Gang getting involved, and as an added bonus this waifu was a vampire so no one would care if I sold for a few points.
To be precise we were after Drusilla, a Tier 3 waifu who was worth a few points if sold. Given that she had a Company bounty on her she must be worth something to someone.
She was part of Jasmine's plans as Drusilla is the vampire who revamps Darla, the vampire who Angel gets pregnant, but it didn't have to be Drusilla who actually turned Darla so I didn't think it would really matter if I took the crazy bitch.
I'd managed to repay a lot of the loans I'd taken out and my progress bar was filling up nicely, but my group was also expanding and it didn't help the Ygritte wanted her own place with Jon. It had something to do with how men stole women in the lands beyond The Wall.
Getting a prehab building and transferring into the extradimensional space wouldn't be much of an issue, and I wouldn't need to expand the space yet, but I would need to one day so it was best to start gathering points for that as quickly as I could.
The Children of the Forest hadn't let me bind them yet, they were still discussing the issue, and Benjen Stark had died on a ranging before the binding took effect, something I would have mentioned to the Starks with me much sooner if we hadn't been so distracted by other matters. Jon was rather depressed. Arya less so since she'd never really gotten to know her uncle.
At the bottom of the hill that I had parked the rented van upon was a chain-link fence that was a few hundred yards from a building that had boarded-up windows and very secure looking doors.
"Looks like we found the nest," I said "As planned go do some recon before you strike".
The app on my Smartphone let me know that Drusilla was here, and given the size of the warehouse, she might not be alone. She could have as many as a dozen vampires in there so I sent Cameron, Faith and Natalie to go scout out the location.
Drusilla was something of a Seer and while she might not be able to see me coming she might be aware that there was danger heading her way. She was crazy, but that didn't mean she was stupid. She might have prepared for an attack
As the three fighters left I took out a pair of binoculars and used them to check out the warehouse. This was going to take a while and even after scouting the three women would need to take up positions before they entered the warehouse.
Because vampires combust in sunlight and because there's no way I was letting a vampire anywhere near Grand Manor that meant we'd have to keep Drusilla inside the warehouse until nightfall at least. Cameron had decided that she would stay with the vampire, keeping her contained and knocked out so that she couldn't resist the bindings while I spent time at home learning about magic.
Since I wouldn't be taking part in the attack on the warehouse, because I wasn't stupid enough to try going against vampires without a lot more training in combat, I just got to sit here and wait until it was time for me to put a choker on Drusilla in person, and that wouldn't be until after Cameron had fully secured the vampire.
I didn't actually need to do it in person. I just wanted to meet the character since I was a bit of a fan. I felt sure that Cameron would do everything possible to keep the risks minimal. Aside from that, I'd never been in a vampire nest and I wanted to inspect one in case I ever ended up in one by mistake. I wouldn't want to fail to recognise the danger.
"I should have brought a book," I said after a little while.
Since Fred was here with me, she'd wanted to get out of Grand Manor for a while, I wasn't talking to myself
"I could read mine to you" offered Fred.
Given that I didn't even understand the title of the book she'd brought along I decided to pass on that.
"If we get this done before too long we can have dinner back in Paris" I suggested "I assume you girls would like that".
I even spoke French thanks to the translation feature of the Tempest Jewellery.
"It's supposed to be a very romantic city," Fred offered.
I'd never understood why so I asked about that.
"Trust me it's a woman thing," said Fred.
I let the matter go and spent my time trying to spot one of the girls I'd sent out. I failed as they were really stealthy. Even Faith who wasn't exactly subtle of people managed to stay out of sight.
"Hey, I just thought of a way we can pass the time," Fred told me.
I wondered she had some sort of game involving brain teasers that I wouldn't understand, only it turned out to be something far more physical. Fred slipped a hand into my jeans and she brought out my cock which responded very quickly to her touch.
Winifred wrapped her small fingers around my swelling cock, and began slowly pumping her fist up and down my hardening shaft. She turned her gaze towards me and gave me a sexy smile. Then she moved so that she could get her mouth down to my dick.
I could now feel her hot, wet tongue against the side of my shaft as she slowly licked my meatstick while using her hand to make me feel good. She was rather talented at this and I doubted that this was the first time she'd blown a guy while sitting in a truck.
After I took a hold of her head she began gradually taking more and more of me into her mouth. Once my cock was mostly inside her mouth her head began to bob up and down as she moved on to the really fun part.
Since I was monitoring my waifu using my Smartphone I was able to hear when Widow reported in.
"Everything's quiet from what we can see, what about you?" she asked.
This was a bit awkward and Fred's giggling didn't help as she kept up the stimulation with her hand.
"Same here," I said as I managed to focus "No signs of life. I can't even see you".
I waited for a reply.
"We'll regroup and then head in," Black Widow let me know "I'll come and get you once it's safe for you to come in".
Fred decided to get back to what she what as doing and since the fight didn't take long she was still going when I was called again. Thankfully she take a break when I needed to give my attention to what was being spoken about.
"We tested the weirwood stake, the dragonglass and the Valyrian steel bullet" I was told "They all worked".
I'd not heard any gunfire, but since Natalie had suppressors that made sense. I wasn't surprised to hear that Valyrian steel and dragonglass worked since they were connected to fire in some mystical sense, something vampires were vulnerable to. I didn't know if it only applied to dragonglass from Westeros, but I didn't think it was worth testing since we had plasma weapons that could take down vampires easily.
It would be a waste of the magical steel to keep using it in bullets, but since we had some leftover from my plans for dealing with the White Walkers it seemed worthwhile finding out if they worked on vampires and if anyone could do that without risking their own life too much it would be Widow.
As for weirwood, well it was wood from a tree that was worshipped so it would likely burn any vampire that tried to pick up a piece and it should make for decent stakes. I'd asked the Children of the Forest to make weirwood stakes as they could harvest weirwood without harming the tree.
"I'm coming back to get you," said the assassin.
Fred giggled again and began jerking me off again.
"I wonder if I can make you cum before she gets here?" the Texan wondered.
She decided that she was at least going to try.
