Mizuki stood in the center of the academy floor. Iruka sat behind his desk, grading papers. Sitting in chairs on risers were the girls that would hopefully become kunoichi of Konoha.
"Good morning, class!" Mizuki said, a smile on his face. "I am going to betray all of you! I have been working with an enemy to Konoha, an S-ranked ninja!"
Iruka rolled his eyes. Mizuki always started his lessons with something bizarre like this. Last time, he had claimed that he had a super-secret bloodline that let him turn into a tiger-man.
"All right, now, show of hands: who believes me?"
Naruko's hand shot up. Hinata's hand cautiously went up. Nobody else's did.
"Looks like most of the kids here picked up on that," Mizuki said. "Good, good. It was, in fact, a lie."
Mizuki spent the next fifteen minutes at the blackboard in front of the class, drawing a complicated diagram that represented the levels of deception he was operating at and how an enemy ninja might be expected to interact with them.
"...but enough boring talk," Mizuki said. "Let's do some exercises. Do we have any volunteers?"
Naruko's hand shot into the air.
"Naruko, how about you? Please come here and pour me a glass of water from this pitcher."
Naruko happily hopped out of her chair and ran down the stairs to where a pitcher of water was set out next to two glasses.
She poured a glass of water happily.
"See, Mizuki? That's easy for somebody like me."
Mizuki's expression faltered. "I'm sorry, Naruko, but that's not what this exercise is about. To be a proper ninja, you need to see underneath the underneath the underneath the underneath, and then go back one level to mislead the ninja trying to follow you."
"But... I poured the water, just like you asked."
Mizuki sighed. "Okay, go back to your seat. Let's see how another student handles it."
Naruko confusedly walked back to her seat.
"Sakura, how about you?"
"Of course!" Sakura exclaimed, chipperly. "Oh, but wait, no, I can't. I'd love to, but I twisted my ankle earlier today. I'm just so weak and vulnerable right now! Any enemy ninja could probably defeat me easily!"
"Exactly!" Mizuki said. "Well done, Sakura."
Sakura beamed happily.
Naruko didn't get it.
----
The rest of the day passed as usual. The students learned some ninja theory, then they went outside to practice kunai throwing, then they came back inside where they masturbated to vent excess chakra, then they had lunch.
Iruka had been quite insistent that they all wash their hands before eating.
"Hey, Ino!" Sakura said cheerfully. "Guess what! My dad said he's gonna hire me a civilian prostitute!"
Ino gasped. "Nuh uh. You're making it up."
"I am not. He said it's because I've been so well-behaved and I've been doing so well in the academy, he's going to hire me one for my birthday."
"I'm jealous!" Ino replied. "My dad never gets me a civilian hooker for my birthday. I just got this lame dildo."
"No, no, yours is cute," Sakura protested.
"Trade you?" Ino asked.
"Ew, no! You've used it!"
"Come on, you can wash it off!"
----
Cyan checked the Hokage's note again. It told him, in no uncertain terms, that he was now a Konoha ninja, and that he was to report to the Konoha ninja academy first thing in the morning.
He got up two hours early and headed out, kissing Ayane on the forehead as he left. She murmured something drowsily in bed.
So cute!
Cyan didn't actually know where the academy was, but how hard could it be to find? He left the house a few hours before class was scheduled to start ask the nearest ninja for directions.
That was probably his biggest mistake of the day.
Four hours later, having trekked the length and breadth of Konoha on faulty instructions, he finally got the idea to ask a civilian where the academy was.
It only took him another twenty minutes to make it to the academy.
There was something wrong with the ninja here.
Cyan let himself into the classroom, where a dozen or so girls all masturbated in their seats. At the front of the class Mizuki sat on a chair, reading a novel, while Iruka continued grading papers.
There was something seriously wrong with the ninja here.
"Um... Excuse me," Cyan said. "Hello. I was given this message by the Hokage? I guess I'm supposed to be a teacher's assistant?"
His eyes kept drifting to the girls masturbating. Some of them were using dildos, others were just using their fingers.
"Oh, glad to have you!" Iruka said. "We could always use another hand to help out around the classroom."
"Yeah... um... I hope you don't expect me to... give a hand... to these girls?"
Iruka laughed. "No, of course not. Don't be silly. Your chakra would blow back on you instantly. Then how would you use your hands?"
"That's... the only reason it would be an issue?" Cyan asked.
"Of course. Why else?"
Cyan took another look at the students.
"I guess I'm just... not used to the culture here."
"Oh? Where are you from?" Iruka asked.
"I'm from another universe, actually. I was filling out some paperwork for a game and I found myself here."
Iruka and Mizuki shared a knowing look. This was clearly a professional liar, somebody showing them his skills at concealing the truth with an obvious falsehood. It was a high-level technical gambit that relied on the other person being too polite or self-conscious to call him out on his bluff. It said, "I'm lying, and you know I'm lying, but we both know you won't do anything about it."
Masterfully played.
Iruka said, "Well, there are a few students who struggle with basic academic curriculum. If you could teach them while I teach the others, that would greatly help me."
"Sure! What do you need me to teach them? Kunai throwing? Henge? Rope untying no jutsu?"
"Deception and lies."
Cyan hesitated. "Are you sure you want me in charge of that? I'm not exactly-"
Iruka clapped his hand on Cyan's shoulder confidently. "I'm certain that you're the best person for this job."
"If you say so."
----
Cyan sat at a table with Satsuki, Hinata, and Naruko.
"All right," he said. "I'm Cyan, I'm here to teach you about... deceptions and lies, I guess."
Cyan paused, then flatly said, "They suck."
All three girls reacted to this. Hinata's eyes widened in shock, Satsuki's eyes narrowed at Cyan, and Naruko got a big grin on her face.
"I understand that this is a ninja world where everybody lies. And sometimes you'll have to lie as part of your job, or whatever. But before you can understand lies, you have to understand the truth. This relationship needs to be built on a foundation of trust. So for right now, let's forget all about lies and deception and just build a space, right here, where the four of us can be open and honest with each other."
Nobody seemed to know how to react to this, but Naruko was practically vibrating with excitement.
"I'll go first," Cyan continued. "My name is Cyan. I'm from very far away from here. I'm not entirely sure how I got here or why I was chosen for this job. But I'm going to do the best I can to help the three of you grow up to become happy, healthy, well-adjusted individuals."
Naruko's hand shot up. "What does 'well-adjusted' mean?"
Cyan replied, "It means you fit in with others, and they get along with you."
"Okay, your turn," he said, pointing at Satsuki. "Please tell us something about yourself. It doesn't have to be big, it can be as small as you want, but it does have to be honest."
Satsuki glared at Cyan, then eventually said, "I like the color navy blue."
Cyan smiled. "Thank you, Satsuki, for sharing that with us. I like that color too, but my favorite color is indigo."
"What's indigo?" Naruko asked.
"It's like a blue that's almost purple."
"Oh."
"Would you like to go next?" he asked, gesturing to Hinata.
"My name is... Teenybopper Salem the third," she said softly.
Cyan placed his hand on hers. "Hinata, you don't need to do that. I promise you, this isn't a test."
Hinata's eyes filled with tears, overwhelmed by the relief of being able to be honest for the first time in a very long time.
"My name is Hinata, and my favorite flower is lilacs, because they remind me of my mother."
"Thank you, Hinata," Cyan said softly. "That was very good."
Hinata simply nodded, not trusting herself to say anything.
"And you?"
"My name is Naruko Uzumaki, and I'm going to be the best ninja ever and the next Hokage of Konoha! Believe it!"
Cyan smiled. "Well, you'll have to work very hard to make that happen. I'm rooting for you."
Naruko grinned and held her thumb up.
----
Cyan walked home, happy to have made a difference in somebody's life.
...oh, wait. He had been supposed to go over deceptions and lies, hadn't he?
Oh, well. It probably wouldn't be that big of a deal.
----
Iruka clasped his hands to his head in confusion. He couldn't make heads or tails of the worksheets of Hinata, Naruko, and Sasuke. It wasn't even nonsense, it was plausible nonsense. Talk of their likes and dislikes, their hopes and dreams. Things he couldn't prove or disprove, in other words.
Iruka nodded approvingly. If he couldn't make sense of it, neither could their enemies. Perfect score, well done.
It was late at night in the academy. Only Mizuki and Naruko were there.
"You promise?" Naruko asked.
"I do," Mizuki said with a voice like honey over razor blades. "Just follow my instructions and I'll make sure you graduate."
"Okay," Naruko said softly, though there was a tremor to her voice. "I trust you."
"Good. Now take off your clothing."
Naruko nodded and started stripping. Her jacket and shirt were the first to go, leaving her naked from the waist up. Unable to resist, Mizuki reached out to touch her exposed chest.
Finally.
Finally!
After all this time and effort, he finally had Naruko right where he wanted her. It had taken him months of manipulating her, setting her up for failure and only letting her answer questions he knew she would get wrong. Months of acting like it was even possible to fail the academy. (It wasn't, due to the "No Child Left Behind" Act. Thanks, Hokage, he thought sarcastically.)
But now, it would all finally pay off.
Mizuki's hand touched Naruko's barely-developed breast. She flinched, then moaned softly. He stepped closer, rubbing both of her breasts with his hands.
And then, before Mizuki could do anything else, his world became fire and agony. He fell backwards, thrashing on the ground in agony as his chakra attempted to flow backwards through his meridians.
"I'm sorry!" Naruko yelled. "I didn't mean to!"
"Stupid brat!" Mizuki hissed out. "How could you do this to me?!"
Naruko ran away.
"Wait, no!" Mizuki yelled, immediately realizing his mistake.
She was running to get help, right?
Right?
----
Naruko ran through the woods, tears running down her face, barely even noticing where she was going. It didn't matter. Nothing mattered. Mizuki was just trying to help her, and she hurt him!
A warmth started to spread from her belly, spiralling out into the rest of her body.
She just wanted the hurting to stop.
WHY WOULDN'T THE HURTING STOP?!
A foreign chakra flowed through her system as Naruko stopped being Naruko and became something else entirely.
----
In Konoha, anybody even remotely sensitive to chakra felt a sense of dread and panic as a thick chakra flooded through the entire village. Dense and cloying, it contained malice and hatred. The adults recognized the feeling with horror and dismay. The younger ones failed to understand what they were experiencing; they had no name for the terror they were experiencing.
In the Hokage's office ninja dashed back and forth, coordinating their response and implementing plans to try to contain the inevitable catastrophe.
In the city the civilians panicked, ran, abandoned whatever they were doing, in favor of finding somewhere, anywhere, that would be safe from the oncoming monstrosity. Some of them knew what they were up against. Some didn't. All knew instinctively that they were no longer safe.
The one exception to this was Cyan, who sat in a frozen yogurt business, happily eating a vanilla orange swirl that was quite good.
Cyan stretched and stood up. "That was really good," he said. "Can I get another one?"
Silence met him.
"Huh, that's weird. Hello? Is anybody here?"
The front door opened and a little girl came inside. She had short red hair, crimson gloves and leggings, and cute little animal ears on top of her head.
"Hewwo," she said to Cyan.
Spoiler: Image: the girl
"Well hello, there," Cyan said. "What's your name?"
The girl put her finger in her mouth. "Ummmm... I forget."
"Do you know where your parents are?"
"Ummm... no. My parents are gone."
"Gone where?" Cyan asked, but the girl just shook her head.
"Oh. I'm sorry."
"It's okay!" the girl replied cheerfully. "I go to school and I make friends and I... and I..."
The girl started crying.
"Are you okay?" Cyan asked.
The girl shook her head. "I failed the class, and then I hurt the teacher and I don't know what to do!"
"Would you like a hug?" Cyan asked.
The girl just nodded. Cyan walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her.
"Poor girl," he said softly. "Come on, let's get you a frozen yogurt. How does vanilla/orange sound?"
"I don't know," she said.
----
A few minutes later the girl sat on Cyan's lap at the table, happily eating a frozen yogurt as he spooned each mouthful into her mouth.
A half hour later the girl, drowsy and full, fell asleep on his lap.
Cyan looked around. There was still nobody else there.
"Well, crap."
----
Cyan had been to the Hokage's office twice before, but he had never seen it this busy, this panicked. Ninja were yelling at each other, some of them even jumping out of the windows in their haste as other ninja jumped in.
Two ninja collided in midair as one jumped out right when another was trying to jump in. Cyan winced in sympathetic pain.
"Um, excuse me?" he said, trying to get somebody's attention. With one arm he held the girl up as she slumbered against his chest.
He approached the nearest ninja. "Um, excuse me, but I need some help."
She looked up from the desk she was at, trying to coordinate several different things at once. "Yeah, so do I!" she snapped at him.
"Sorry, I just... I found this girl, and I don't know what to do with her."
"Take her home!" the woman snapped before returning to her work.
Cyan considered this.
"Well, I guess I could. How about it, kiddo? Want to come home with me?"
The girl said nothing, still asleep against his chest.
Cyan chuckled. "I'll count that as a yes."
Cyan left the building, the ninja behind him still frantically trying to contain an apocalypse that was, unbeknownst to any of them, already handled.
Thus the nine-tailed fox, the scourge of Konoha, unintentionally slipped both in and out of the Hokage's office with none being the wiser.
Cyan woke up the next morning in his own bed, the bedroom weakly illuminated by pre-dawn light. Nestled against him was a sleeping Naruko, wearing pants but no shirt.
Cyan froze.
"Uh, Naruko?" he said softly, jostling her shoulder. "Naruko, is that you?"
Her eyes cracked open blearily, then went wide as she recognized who was talking to her.
"Teacher!" she yelled happily. "You came for me! I knew you wouldn't let me down!"
She sat up and wrapped her arms around his chest, nuzzling softly into his bare chest.
Cyan froze, not sure how to handle this.
"Naruko," he finally said, "what are you doing here?"
Naruko paused and considered this. "You know, I really don't know."
Cyan waited, but Naruko didn't elaborate. Before he could figure out what to ask next, Naruko had sprung out of bed and dashed towards the kitchen pantry. "Ooh, what kind of snacks do you have here? I'm hungry!"
"Put on a shirt first!" Cyan yelled.
----
Iruka sat at his teacher's desk in the early morning, hoping to make some headway grading the stories that his students had written. There was a knock at the door and Cyan let himself inside.
"You wanted to see me?" Cyan asked.
Iruka rubbed his eyes with the heels of his hands. How long had be been at this? It seemed like one poorly-constructed story blended into the next.
"Yes, Cyan, thank you for coming in with no foreshadowing."
Cyan raised an eyebrow. "Foreshadowing?"
"Ugh. It's these story assignments that I've been grading. They've got me in a literary mindset and I can't quite snap out of it. You know, rising action, plot twist, climax, that sort of thing."
"Uh... sure."
"Anyhow, my point is that I've been short-handed ever since Mizuki was written out of the story."
...
"I did it again, didn't I?"
"Yeah. So what actually happened to Mizuki?"
Iruka winced. "You cannot tell the children this, but he's in prison, and he's not getting out for a long time, if ever."
"That makes sense," Cyan said. "Can't have him stealing the forbidden scroll."
Iruka just stared at Cyan uncomprehendingly, then chuckled as he realized that Cyan was once again operating at a level he couldn't even comprehend.
"You got me again," Iruka said. "Damn, you're good at that."
"Uh..."
"Anyway, I called you here because I have a favor to ask. The students you've been working with have been doing very well under your tutelage. I'd like to ask you to be their tutors on a more permanent basis, at least until they graduate from the academy."
"I'm floored," Cyan said. "I honestly had no idea you thought so highly of me. Yes, I will absolutely do that."
"Ah, excellent. I'll have them move in with you."
Cyan's thoughts came to a screeching halt. "Excuse me?"
"You may have to purchase miscellaneous items, groceries, sex toys, et cetera, but you'll get a monthly stipend from Konoha to help out."
"No, wait. Go back. What was that about sex toys? Why are they moving in with me? Do you not see the problems here?"
Iruka glanced at the clock. "Shit, I've got to go. First lesson starts soon and I am nowhere near ready." He hastily marking each of the remaining stories on his desk. "Three out of four. Three out of four. Three out of four. Ugh, it's Jeremy's story. Whatever. Three out of four."
Iruka grabbed all of the papers off his desk and ran out of the room.
...
"Fucking what?"
----
Hinata stood in front of the open refrigerator. Her father, Hiashi Hyuuga, came up behind her.
"Ooh, what have we got here?" he asked mockingly. "Hinata thinks she can get a snack? I'll have you know your sister Hanabi was getting snacks from the fridge when she was just four months old!"
Hinata sighed and grabbed a juice pack.
Hiashi Hyuuga followed her to the table, where she sat down and stabbed the pack with a drinking straw.
"Your form sucks!" he suddenly bellowed. "Even at half your age, your sister could put that straw through a juice pack with only a tenth of the effort, and she would do it flawlessly! Not a drop wasted!"
Dad must be in a good mood, Hinata thought sardonically as she sucked the juice through the straw and ignored her father. He's being much nicer than usual.
He must have heard the news from Iruka about her moving out.
Hinata mildly wondered how Hiashi would manage to judge her incompetent at that as well.
She left the room, Hiashi trailing her.
"Oh, you're going to the bathroom now? I'll have you know..."
----
Satsuki sat in a cross-legged meditative pose in her apartment, focusing on the sensation of her chakra cycling through her meridians.
There was a knock at the door.
She ignored it.
The knocking grew louder, more insistent.
She still ignored it.
A voice called out, "Come on, sis! I said I was sorry for using my Sharingan to make you think everybody you ever knew or loved was dead! But it was just a prank, sis! Lighten up!"
There was a reason Satsuki didn't live in the Uchiha compound any more, and it was partly to avoid her older sister Itachi. Itachi liked to consider herself a "prankster".
Satsuki considered her a self-centered, inconsiderate jackass.
"Even mom says you're overreacting!" Itachi complained through the door.
And that was the other part. Nobody in Satsuki's extended family thought that Itachi's actions had been wrong.
"Come on, sis! Nobody will talk to me! This sucks!"
Satsuki smirked. The one minor vengeance she had been able to inflict on her sister and the rest of the family had been getting them legally declared dead.
"Ugh, fine," Itachi finally said. "I'll go. But this isn't over!"
Satsuki looked at the address she had been given for Cyan's house.
Moving day couldn't come soon enough.
----
Cyan knocked at the door to Ayane's house. After waiting for several seconds with no reply, he used the key she gave him and let himself in.
Sitting on the bed was a simple note:
Cyan
Going on mission
Long-term
Good bye.
----
Ayane lay in bed in an inn somewhere in the Land of Steam. She had it all planned out. Cyan would figure out the hidden code she had embedded in the note, informing him that she was acting under duress. She wasn't, of course, but he would think she was.
From there, she had set up a trail of clues, each more difficult to decipher than the last, that would eventually lead him here, to the Hidden Village of the Land of Steam, where she would perform a complex reverse-triple betrayal, ultimately ending with them living together happily ever after.
Ayane smiled at the thought. Somebody beside her stirred.
"Ugh, I didn't mean to fall asleep," the man complained.
"You did great," Ayane assured him. "Your money is on the dresser. And... maybe one more round, on the house?"
The man shook his head. "You get what you pay for."
"So stingy."
----
Cyan read the note.
"Huh."
Cyan dropped the note on the bed and left.
Ibiki Morino sat at his desk and sighed. Another fruitless interrogation. Hours of wasted effort. The hard part hadn't been getting Mizuki to talk. The hard part had been getting him to shut up.
"I invented bees!"
"The letter R keeps looking funny at me!"
"Chakra came from space aliens!"
"Baryon Mode looks really dumb!"
Nonsense, all of it. This was why he hated interrogating trained ninja. Their confessions were often a network of lies and nonsense, intended to obfuscate any accidental truths they might drop.
Would a little professional courtesy be too much to ask? Ibiki thought grumpily.
That was when the Hokage stepped in. Ibiki jumped to his feet.
"Well?" Sarutobi asked.
"We... we haven't been able to establish..."
Sarutobi slammed his hand down on Ibiki's desk. Ibiki flinched despite himself.
"The entire village witnessed the emergence of the nine-tailed fox, and this man is our only lead! Now I want answers now, or I'll replace you with somebody who can get them!"
"Have we asked the nine-tails' container?"
"That's classified information," Sarutobi snarled. "SSS-plus star ranked secret! Level five!"
In truth, Sarutobi had forgotten who the container for the nine-tailed fox was and didn't want to admit it.
Ibiki's eyes shot around the room, hoping for inspiration. They landed on a toy snake that he had bought for his niece and still hadn't gotten around to gifting her.
"Actually, sir... I wasn't sure if I should tell you this or not, but... we believe Ibuki was working with a S-ranked ninja who uses snake summons."
"Orochimaru," Hiruzen whispered. "Of course he would be involved in this. But he never could have done this without help! Who was he working with? Who was funding him?"
"Uh... I don't think he-"
Sarutobi slammed on the desk again. "Dammit, Ibiki! Your job is riding on this!"
Ibiki's eyes drifted to the calendar hanging on his wall, the one that had a picture for each month. This month's picture showed a lovely beach at either sunset or sunrise, the clouds colored orange and magenta.
"Daybreak!" Ibiki yelled.
"What?"
"Um... a group of... missing-nin... called Daybreak [akatsuki]," Ibiki said, his eyes darting wildly around the room. "Orochimaru is one of them... as is..." molding clay he used for stress relief "A ninja that makes explosions out of clay, and..." the fillet of fish he was eating earlier "a fish-man with a..." the toothpick lying next to the meal "...with a giant sword that... eats... chakra?"
Sarutobi nodded, satisfied. "Of course, of course. It's all starting to make sense now. I want a profile on this Akatsuki group on my desk first thing in the morning."
"Yes, sir," Ibiki said weakly.
The Hokage left, and for one brief instant, Ibiki was jealous of Mizuki. Yes, he was going to be tortured. Yes, his remaining lifespan was probably going to be very short.
But at least he didn't have to deal with the Hokage.
----
"I see," the Hokage said, looking over the profiles that Ibiki had written up on the Akatsuki members. "This is very thorough."
"Thank you," said Ibiki.
"So we're in agreement, then," the Hokage said. "This is top-secret information, restricted to only the most important of ninja at the highest ranks."
"Um... yes. I would not want anybody else to read this information and take it seriously," Ibiki said. "The fewer people who know anything about it, the better."
"Excellent. Assistant, make a hundred copies of this report and hand it out to everybody on the street corner."
"What?!" Ibiki yelled. "Why? You just said-"
"You have to look underneath the underneath," the Hokage said, sitting back smugly.
A ninja wearing Groucho Glasses stepped forward, took the packet of papers, and left with them.
"I know what I'm doing," the Hokage said with absolute confidence that only a moron possesses.
"I believe you," Ibiki lied.
----
Itachi took off her prankster glasses and looked at the report in her hands. Her sister Satsuki had left her apartment without any hint of where, how or why. All that remained was a note that said, "I hate you, Itachi, and the rest of the family, and I'm moving in with my academy instructor. Forwarding address included."
It was a straightforward message, but Itachi knew better. Only an idiot would take such a clear communication at face value. After a few mental leaps, Itachi deduced that Satsuki must have left the village and become a missing-nin in search of greater power.
And now, Itachi had in her hands the profiles of a group of S-ranked missing-nin. All she had to do was join them, and Satsuki would find her sooner or later.
"Hmm," Itachi said profoundly.
Then there was a swirl of leaves and Itachi was gone.
----
Cyan lay in his bed, asleep, exhausted after the previous day's work of getting all three of his new team members moved into his house.
Hinata knocked at the door. "Cyan?" she asked softly. There was no response. The door opened gently, and Hinata approached the sleeping Cyan in his bed.
He was kind of cute...
"Cyan?" she asked softly. He didn't stir.
Hinata was trapped. She was hungry, but she didn't have his permission to get herself some food, and she didn't know which foods she would be allowed to eat.
Living with her father, she had often eaten foods that she thought were acceptable, only to find out that no, she hadn't been supposed to eat that one, and that she should have known that fact without asking.
Eventually she discovered which foods wouldn't set off Hiashi, but it had taken a long process of trial and error.
So: she was hungry, and she didn't know what foods were okay to eat. But Hiashi had also taught her that waking him up while he was still asleep was wrong, especially when he had been drinking "happy juice" with the other members of the clan the night before.
So Hinata quietly approached the slumbering Cyan. Not sure what else to do, she gently pushed at his shoulder.
No response.
Her heart beat hard in her chest, her palms sweaty.
Eventually, she summoned up her courage and softly pulled the blanket down, exposing a naked Cyan.
Oh, dear. Hinata had never seen a naked man before, outside of academy diagrams.
And Cyan still wasn't responding.
Hinata poked at Cyan's chest, feeling the slight give beneath her fingertips.
Cyan shifted slightly. Hinata froze, her stomach leaping into her throat. She held her breath.
Eventually, she decided that Cyan wasn't going to react and relaxed slightly. She looked to the door to Cyan's room and debated quietly leaving, but her stomach was telling her in no uncertain terms that it needed food.
Her gaze drifted down to Cyan's erection.
Oh. Oh, my. That is... quite large. And that is supposed to go inside me?
Hinata imagined his hard cock, splitting her and filling her up. Would it hurt? Would it feel good?
Would he love her?
Hinata left the room quietly, suddenly having something else she needed to take care of back in her room.
Food could wait.
Cyan was in hell.
Snuggly, adorable, comfortable hell.
It was the middle of the night. In bed with him were Hinata, Naruko, and Satsuki, all asleep, all almost naked, all cuddled against him and each other.
...and Cyan needed to pee.
Cyan had gone to bed by himself. He had been certain of that. He had made sure that each of his students had their own room, with their own bed, and that they had everything they needed. Then he went to his own bedroom, his own bed, and fell asleep.
Hinata had been the first to join him.
"I'm scared," she had said softly. "Can I sleep with you?"
A half-awake Cyan patted the bed next to him and made room for her. She lay next to him, keeping a respectful distance, and sighed as the tension in her body dissipated.
The next to come into the bedroom was Naruko. She took one look at the situation and joined Cyan and Hinata on the bed, snuggling into Cyan's other side.
Finally, Satsuki entered Cyan's bedroom, having noticed that Naruko had recently entered. After staring at the scene for several seconds, she climbed into the bed as well.
"Move over," she said gruffly. Naruko shifted to make space for her.
"It's too hot," Naruko groggily complained.
"It's your fault, dumbass," Satsuki mumbled. "You're a freaking space heater."
Hinata didn't say anything, but she was also feeling overheated.
"Take it off," Naruto mumbled.
"Yeah, okay," Satsuki mumbled.
After much writhing and clutching of fabrics, they each managed to strip their clothes off, leaving them in panties and nothing else.
Finally cool enough, they slept like that for several hours, before Cyan's bladder woke him up.
They had pajamas, he thought. I know they were wearing pajamas. Why are they naked?
Cyan gently extricated himself from the warm cuddle pile on his bed ("but snuggles!" a traitorous part of his mind yelled) and left to go use the bathroom.
When he finally returned, he didn't notice the three pairs of eyes staring at him through the very dimly-lit room.
He climbed back into bed with them, dimly aware of their nakedness as they pressed against him but too tired to care.
It's future-Cyan's problem, he thought as he drifted to sleep. Sucks to be him.
----
Iruka lectured the kunoichi from the front of the room. Cyan sat nearby, listening to facets of ninjutsu he never knew about. It was fascinating, really!
"...and that's why 'the shocker' isn't a real ninja hand seal, even thought it looks like one," Iruka concluded. "Now, let's turn our attention to chakra. Can anybody tell me what chakra is?"
Sakura's hand went up. "It's the combination of physical and spiritual energy in a body."
"Correct. Very good. Now can anybody tell me what happens when too much chakra accumulates in the body? Ino?"
"You need to get rid of it."
"Yes, but why?"
"Um..."
Sakura jumped in. "Because otherwise you could suffer from chakra overflow."
"Sakura, please wait to be called on."
"Oops. Sorry."
"...but yes, that's right," Iruka said. "If a shinobi's chakra isn't periodically purged from their system, it can build up and make them sick. In extreme cases, they could even die."
Choji held her hand up. "Can somebody else help you with venting chakra? Because my mom said she and my dad-"
"Not at your level, no," Iruka said. "Ninja who have spent months or years working together can safely help each other vent chakra, but it requires incredible chakra control or you risk a backlash. Don't even think about it until you've reached chuunin."
Sakura raised her hand. "What about prostitutes?"
Iruka nodded. "Good point, Sakura. Civilian prostitutes can safely assist a ninja with chakra dispersal because they haven't developed their own chakra. However, their services are often expensive."
"Well, I'm gonna marry a prostitute!" Kiba exclaimed. "Then he'll have to help me vent my chakra all the time!"
Iruka simply chuckled and shook his head. "Dare to dream," he said. "It's possible, but unlikely. Male prostitutes are highly sought after for their willingness and ability to have sex with ninja. And don't forget: just because they don't have a ninja's level of chakra doesn't mean they have none, and the chakra consent rule still applies."
"Well never mind, then," muttered Kiba.
"What about civilian kids who are our age?" Sakura asked. "Can we sleep with them?"
"Absolutely not," Iruka said firmly. "And this goes for all of you, so listen up. It's fine for a ninja to sleep with another ninja, because they both have chakra. It's okay for a civilian adult to sleep with a ninja of any age, because they both have enough chakra for consent to occur. But a civilian child does not have the chakra necessary to consent to anything. If you tried anything intimate with a civilian child, you could be arrested and thrown in jail. Don't even joke about it, don't pretend, nothing. It's off-limits, understand?"
The various students nodded and made "yes" noises.
Naruko's hand shot up. "But teacher, I already slept with Cyan!"
Cyan froze. What?!
"Oh?" Iruka said skeptically.
"Yeah!" Naruko yelled excitedly. "Me and Satsuki and Hinata all slept together last night!"
Cyan's face took on a look of horror. He had to say something, or they would all get the wrong impression! But his throat constricted, his mouth moving but unable to voice the words.
This was it. His life was over because Naruko didn't understand the difference between "sleeping in bed with" and "having sex with".
Iruka simply looked over at Cyan, a light smile on his face. "Well done," he said. "I knew we picked the right person for the job. Keep up the good work."
Cyan's jaw dropped.
What?
