Celestia came to Svetlana after Nora left and said, "Thank you for the help, Goddess of Fate."
Svetlana said with a smile, "We both know that you could've killed Malakar even without my help, Your Holiness, by paying the price of losing your natal artifact."
"As expected, the Goddess of Fate predicted the future."
Svetlana was correct. If the Malakar insisted on not retreating, then she would've self-destructed her natal artifact to kill him. Of course, at that time, she would've suffered as well and her soul would've been damaged. After all, it was her own natal artifact and even with the Angel Reincarnation Pool's help, it would've taken her a long time to recover.
She even felt a little frustrated since as long as she became a Supreme Goddess, she could've fought Malakar on equal terms without having to sacrifice her natal artifact. She had a hunch that she would return to her prime soon but until then, she wouldn't allow anyone to threaten her Lord.
Svetlana explained, "I can only peek into small moments of multiple branches of fate."
Celestia asked, "I'm curious, why do you want to help the Lord?"
Hearing this, Svetlana blushed a little but since her cheeks were hidden under the veil so Celestia couldn't see it. She composed herself and said, "My actions weren't solely to help your Lord. The Dimensional Demons will invade the Endless Continent soon and we need to unite against them."
"In addition, although Malakar is an evil god, he fought against the Eleventh Demon Monarch in the last Divine War so he is an asset for the Endless Continent against the Demons. I don't want him to die worthlessly."
"Oh?" Celestia raised her eyebrows slightly. There was a hint of doubt in his tone.
The goddess of fate Svetlana said, "Your Holiness Celestia, you can trust me!"
As one of the strongest Supreme Goddesses in the Endless Continent, it was actually unreasonable for her to address Celestia as 'Her Holiness' and if this matter spreads, the other Gods would probably be shocked to the core. However Svetlana, who could peek in the long river of Fate, knew some secrets hidden from the others.
Celestia frowned slightly, then said, "I hope we can continue to be friends!"
"Certainly!" Svetlana smiled sweetly. She thought to herself that if she followed the main branch of fate that she saw, she wouldn't just have a simple cooperative relationship with the Great Aetherium.
However, just like what she said to Malakar, the future was uncertain. In addition to the main branch of fate, each person had multiple branches of fate and thus, there were uncountable possibilities. Every choice and decision one made had the potential to change the future.
For example, if she chose to attack Celestia or the Great Aetherium now, her future will change drastically in an instant. The original branch that was meant as the main line would become one of the countless 'what could have been' scenarios.
Of course, she wouldn't do it because being an enemy of the Great Aetherium was not what she wanted to do as the current main line of fate which she saw told her that the Great Aetherium would become the brightest star in the upcoming Divine War and it would be unwise to become their enemy.
What's more, she was still considering whether to follow the main branch of her current fate as it was a very important decision related to her future.
The two did not communicate much afterwards and Celestia returned to the battlefield to suppress the Beast Gods who were still resisting.
Meanwhile Svetlana turned her head towards a certain direction with a smile and two figures appeared out of thin air in front of her. It was the Ice Queen Eira and the Sword God William.
"Greetings, Her Holiness the Goddess of Fate."
"Greetings, Her Majesty Eira."
The two Goddesses looked at each other, leaving William, who was still shocked by what had transpired, behind. As a High God, one of the strongest beings in the Endless Continent, he didn't even dare to lift his head in front of these two Goddesses.
...
"Are you actually injured?" Haru looked at Nora in surprise. One must know that Nora was a peak High Goddess, the strongest Angel under his command except Celestia. So how could those two idiots alone hurt her with Celestia present?
As Nora explained what happened in outer space, Haru frowned, "I didn't expect that the Supreme God of Destruction actually came in person, nor did I expect Svetlana to help us."
After thinking for a moment, Haru said, "Celestia is right. Go to the Angel Reincarnation Pool to heal your wounds and come to me if you need Divine Crystals."
"Thank you, Lord Almighty!" Nora bowed respectfully.
Haru's expression turned cold, "When this storm is over, our Great Aetherium will welcome a Supreme Goddess in Celestia. We would soon hunt worms like Malakar and crush them."
