"Girl, did you hear?" Jazz whispered to us while we were in the cafeteria.
"New gossip? Department stuff?" Dalcy replied. I just shook my head at them. It seems like they never run out of topics.
"In the medtech department, it looks like Doc. Gavilan was invited to a birthday party. You know Justine, right? He's apparently close to our handsome doctor." I got intrigued. Zairon has a close connection here? My mind started wandering again.
"So, what's the big deal? We're not invited anyway," Dalcy said as she took a bite of her spaghetti.
"That's the point! He invited our whole department because he has a girlfriend in block 1," she added, gesturing with her hand.
"Wow, really? So, are we going?" Dalcy asked excitedly.
I paused in the middle of my bite when they both turned to look at me with innocent eyes. I raised one eyebrow and continued eating.
"Let's go, girl, please?" They both pleaded with puppy eyes, clasping their hands together as if praying for me to agree.
