I look at his face with a surprised look. I don't expect Saoto would know that much about me even though we only fight together once and that was when we fought the white armored warriors that day. I then nod slowly to affirm his doubt just now.

For a moment, I get startled as soon as Ena who has been silent finally opens her mouth again to say something. Her hands tightly hold the tray that she just brought to offer us something to drink as we were practicing earlier. With a flat face, Ena clears her throat before saying something.
"Ehem... Ena don't want to interfere with Maou's lovey-dovey relationship right now but Ena bets that on Maou's journey later, the other Demon King will surely come to interfere"
"Huh?"
I look at Ena with a surprised face as if I don't believe what I just heard. I then ask her again as I doubt something.
"But, Ena... Why do they bother to come for us if we don't even disturb their place? Shouldn't it be a peace agreement between the Five Great Demon Kings that rule over Terror Canyon?"
I look straight into her face while asking her in wonder. It's just hard to believe that there is no peace agreement between the Demon Kings who rule this entire Terror Canyon. If we talk a thousand years ago, the ruler was only me as Tyrannical Demon King but now there are five of them who control five different regions. It would be almost impossible for the Five Great Demon Kings to survive until now if there was no peace treaty within them. If that's the case, a greedy Demon King would simply take control of the others as long as he's powerful enough to pull it. Ena then lowers her head for a moment before raising it again after being silent for a moment while thinking about something. I keep looking at her face with a thousand questions in my mind.
"Even though there is indeed a peace agreement between the Five Demon Kings, Maou's destination to head is the palace of Queen Lumina, the leader of the Five Great Demon Kings. The other Demon Kings will not just sit idly as soon as their leader is challenged. I keep silent as soon as I hear every bit of his words. If Saoto himself acknowledges the strength of the other Four Demon Kings, who am I to doubt since I'm unable to use any magic myself. Not to mention, even the demons who lived in Miltia back then lived in fear until Saoto came to free them. I then lower my head while thinking about what would await me in my journey in the future. However, I suddenly get startled by Saoto who lowers his head just so that he can look into my face with a smile. I remain silent for a moment as soon as I see his smile which somehow very pleasing to my heart. My head also gets gently stroked by him before he opens his mouth again to say something.
"Sei, don't be afraid. Plus, Sei has mastered Sei's abilities, right? After all, Saoto won't sit still if Saoto's beautiful fiancee is touched by another Demon King's hand"

Shocked by Ena's question, I then turn my face to see her, standing firmly next to me. I then look back at Saoto who has been kissing my hand for a while before gently pushing his head away with my still reddened cheeks.

Saoto immediately looks at my face which is still red, telling him how embarrassed I am. His gaze is then shifted to my tail which has been swaying repeatedly, showing him my heart which isn't calm at all right now. Saoto then releases his grip before gently stroking my head again. Even though I'm still embarrassed by what just happened, I don't feel like rejecting his hand to continue caressing my head at the time. Saoto then stands up after stroking my head for a while. His gaze gets locked on the window that displays the scenery of Miltia for quite a while, as if something just happened. Saoto who feels something is off then tells me and Ena who are still confused right after we see a surprised Saoto just now.
"There is a Demon King who just entered Miltia"
My eyes widen as soon as I hear the news Saoto just delivered. We have just finished discussing about the other Great Demon Kings who cannot be taken for granted and could become a threat in our journey later. Now, one of them has come to visit us in Miltia. Ena then adjusts her posture again before bowing respectfully to Saoto in front of her.
"Understood. Ena will act to tighten the security of the entire palace to guard it against any sudden attack by the enemy"
Saoto nods his head slowly while looking at Ena to allow her action. Ena then quickly turns back before leaving both of us alone in the library that has been my training ground for the past few days. Seeing that Saoto goes silent for a while, I then run after him before holding his hand tightly to say something to him.
"S-Saoto... S-Sei want to come along..." (Worried)
I look at him with a face full of worry. Although I don't deny he is strong enough as a warrior and protector of Miltia, I don't want to see him carry out his duties alone. After all, I have worked so hard for these past few days so that I can use it for the time like this. It's not like I'll be a little lonely without him, maybe.

The woman in the purple hat and robes like a witch then laughs at the frightened reaction of the demons around her. The woman then raises both of her hands in the air while waving then to calm everyone there.
"Ahahaha... relax, relax... I don't come to scare you. I just have some business with-"
For a moment, a strong wind suddenly blows, blocking everyone's view on the spot. A magic circle is etched on the ground while releasing an immense aura around it. All the demons there are covering their eyes with their hands so that the flying dust wouldn't enter their eyes, except the woman. For a moment, two figures appear from the magic circle as soon as everything calms down again. The woman then grins at the figure in front of her as if she has been waiting for them to arrive.
"Oh my... You manage to survive that deadly spell I just threw. Impressive"
The woman claps her hands, amused by what she just witnessed. In an instant, the figure speaks again after being silent for a while.
"You seriously are looking for your death to come at us at a time like this..."
Saoto clenches his fists tightly as he looks at the woman who has just admitted that the deadly magic earlier was cast by her. I stand behind Saoto and tap his shoulder while saying something to him.
"SAOTO, LET'S TEACH HER A LESSOn-"
I fall silent for a moment as soon as I'm thinking of something. I then check all over my body to make sure my outfit. I'm now in my male form while wearing a light armor and long pants that cover my entire body. I breathe a sigh of relief for a moment after realizing that I'm not wearing the underwear I just wore earlier since my body has already changed like this. After finally understanding the detail of the conversation, I then look back at the woman's face, who seems to clench both of her hands before shouting at us furiously.

For a moment, the witch exerts all her energy to cast few dozens of magic circles that suddenly float in the air and surround us. In reflex, I immediately take out my sword that I have brought earlier before pointing it at the woman while Saoto gets busy in chanting his magic. In an instant, many magic circles fill my vision as both Saoto and the woman are capable of chanting many spells at a time. I, who could only wield my sword, is forced to be aware of my surroundings to ward off any spell that gets directed at me. In an instant, the witch grins again before shouting something.
"HHAHAHA?!! TAKE THIS?!!"
For a moment, my vision becomes blurry as soon as a cloud of smokes appear right after dozens of spells that the witch has casted hit the ground hard. Even so, I still manage to deflect some of the magic that gets aimed at me using my sword which is now capable to withstand any powerful attack thanks to Saoto who has casted a strengthening magic on it. I then look back at my surroundings once things have calmed again to ascertain the condition of Saoto and the witch. Although I'm pretty sure they won't get hurt simply by that attack since both of them alone can exert that much magic which is very inhuman.
"Hmph?" (Shocked)
I'm shocked as I see the protective barrier that has been protecting me cracks and gets pierced by the spells as soon as the smokes that surround me gradually disappear. I then breathe a sigh of relief because I have just survived the death that was just calling me.
("I'm so lucky that Saoto has casted a protective spell on me... Otherwise, I am not sure I will make it out alive from this...") (Stared)
I then look back at Saoto next to me to make sure of his condition. For a moment, I'm frozen as soon as I see his body gets severely injured as a result of being hit by the spells thrown at him. I then quickly rush to get him as if I couldn't believe what I just saw with both of my eyes right now. From afar, Saoto seems to press his chest tightly to hold back the pain on his body. But just as I'm about to arrive, the defeated Saoto collapses before my very eyes. Without being able to say any word, I kneel on the ground, disbelief upon what I just witnessed.
"Why? Why? It's useless to protect me if you let yourself hurt..." (Stare)
I can't help myself to hug his head tightly for a few moments as the joys of the past cross through my mind.

Unbeknownst to me, my eyes well up before tears slowly fall from my eyes. I can't hide how sad I feel right after looking at Saoto's helpless face at this moment. Both anger and sadness mix inside me. I then turn back towards the witch who has been standing not far in front of me with only one intention in my gaze, to kill her.
I unsheathe my sword before rushing towards the woman without thinking about anything else in my head. I look at her blankly. Right now, my only goal is to get her head cut off with the slash of my sword. For a moment, I get a bit surprised to see her reaction as she waves her hands wildly as if she wants to tell me to stop. However, my heart is resolved, unbothered by what she does. In a blink, I zip my way around to be right in front of her. My eyes blankly look at her face as I wave my sword without a bit of mercy radiating from both of my eyes.
"S-STOP?!!" (Anxious)
"Just die..."
My sword hits the barrier spell the woman has casted. Still with my own plan, I continue to push my restrained sword to cut off her neck. Instantly, the barrier breaks before I instantly get shocked as soon as I feel my sword remains restrained from slashing her neck. I then look at her face in upset before the sword I'm wielding drops from my grasp. My sword is no longer being blocked by the protection spell I just broke, but gets tightly gripped by the hand of the figure behind her. I gasp in disbelief right after seeing the figure in front of me.
Saoto.
Instantly my eyes water as I see the body that has been lying weakly in front of me a few moments ago is now standing in front of me with a smile on his face. Not believing what I'm seeing, I then rush towards him before hugging the body in front of me tightly, not even thinking of letting go. Saoto, who is unable to contain my momentary emotional outburst, then embraces me tightly before slowly stroking my head. I, who no longer able to express how happy I am to see the body in front of me, then let out a happy cry that instantly soak the shirt he wears. Saoto continues to caress me for a while before saying something to me again.
"Forgive Saoto for making Sei worry..."
Saoto lift up my face while looking at me with a smile on his face, trying to calm me down. Instantly my head gets gently pressed against his chest which instantly soothes my very heart as I could feel his heartbeat and the heat of his body again that instantly spread through my body, proving that he is in a good condition. My heart continues to feel calm in his embrace before I get surprised by Saoto right when he tap my back. I then look at his face in surprise before Saoto says something again.
"Sei, if Sei wants to be pampered, can Sei at least get change first?... There are still people watching..."
"Hurm??" (Surprised)
I look around as soon as Saoto asks me that kind of question. My cheeks then immediately turn red as soon as I see the witch widen her eyes in disbelief at what she just seen. I weakly kneel on the ground for a moment as soon as I'm thinking about what I just done with Saoto. For a moment, I start imagining the words that the woman would have said as soon as she sees me, still in my male form, so eager to hug the man in front me just now.
"Ara, I didn't think Mahou Saoto had a fetish like this..." (Imagined)
I immediately fall to the ground while imagining that the good image of Saoto gets instantly shattered as I get carried away by the atmosphere a moment ago. I keep kneeling on the ground, thinking about what is about to happen before I get startled by a hand that suddenly pats my shoulder. I then tear off part of my pants so that I can wrap the wound on his hand. I mutter to Saoto while wrapping his wound tightly to stop the bleeding.
"Forgive Sei, Saoto... Sei didn't mean to do that... Besides, why did Saoto hold Sei's sword earlier-" (Guilt)
"I told you to stop earlier... It's not like I'm coming to seek trouble..."
I'm shocked as soon as the witch who has been silent for a while interrupts me. The woman shakes her head in response to my question earlier. I then look back at Saoto's face to confirm her statement. Saoto smiles as he sees me wrapping the wound on his hand. Then, Saoto rubs my head again before saying something.
"She said the truth... More precisely, she was just showing off..." (Sigh)
"Hmmph?? Showing off? (Puzzled)
I'm still shocked with the narrative even though Saoto just assured me that is indeed the truth. It's not like I don't want to believe in him but I still can't grasp how everything that just happened can be called a mere show off? Saoto who almost died, I needed to deflect some of the magic a moment ago, everything was far from the word show off and more of a war to me. I keep looking at the face of the man in front of me for a long time. Saoto continues to smile at me as if he is serious with his words a moment ago. Instantly, I get shocked again as the witch starts to speak again.
"To be honest, I'm actually amazed by both of you for managing to survive the hell fireball spell that I had thrown earlier. You guys also came to greet me using long-distance teleportation spell which even I myself haven't reached that stage yet. Hehehe..."
"Then?" (Stared)
Although I get a little surprised as I learn that the witch in front of me is nowhere near Saoto's level, I can't help but think that is normal. Saoto is Saoto. The woman continues her words again which I listen carefully so that I wouldn't misunderstand things later.
"So… since Demon King Saoto himself just came to greet me in such a grand way… whether I like it or not, I have to show off a bit. It's part of a Demon King's dignity, you know?!"
The woman crosses both of her arms while looking up to the sky with a proud expression on her face. Despite being upset to hear her reckless explanation, I'm finally able to loosen up my body a bit that has been tense for a while. I can't help but sigh as soon as I know that all my resistance earlier was futile and I even got my own allies injured. I then look back at Saoto's face to make sure of something.
"S-Sei f-feels really sorry, S-Saoto... S-Sei saw Saoto badly injured earlier... Otherwise, things wouldn't have happened like this..." (Not wanting to admit I'm wrong)
Even though I realize that I get his hand injured, it's all started when I get angry as soon as I saw his lifeless body covered in severed wounds. However, I wonder too right after looking at Saoto in front of me who only get his hand injured. And that's because of my sword slash just now. Instantly, Saoto pats my head before saying something again to the surprised me in front of him.
"Saoto did think she was really going to attack us... After all, the fireball earlier was no ordinary spell. So, Saoto used some kind of illusion magic to make her believe we'd already lost, just to catch her off guard. But in the end, Saoto realized it was nothing more than showmanship… none of her spells ever actually hit..."
"Nothing get hit?" (Surprised)

I look at Saoto, surprised by what he just said. I still can't fully fathom the detail of this conversation since if I hadn't deflected the magic directed at me earlier, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be here anymore. I then look around as he just directs before being shocked to see the barren desert view that surrounds me. I then draw my own conclusion as soon as I see the view around me.
"Didn't Saoto say nothing gets hit?... How come the bustling city just now becomes a barren land-" (Staring)
"This isn't the city. Saoto had moved all of us here, a barren land inside Miltia so that no residents would get injured. But thanks for nothing, she casted her spells to show off, avoid hitting us on purpose..."
I listen to Saoto's explanation carefully. Despite I understand his words correctly, my head is still confused by the fact that I need to deflect some magic earlier. I then ask him to make sure of that.
"But Sei had to deflect some magic earlier-"
"Those are from Saoto..."

My eyes widen in shock as I look at Saoto's face in front of me, not believing what he just said. I can't help but start nagging at him again as I'm worried about something.
"W-WHAT IF SEI DIED JUST NOW?!! W-WON'T SAOTO BE Sad..."
My mouth gets locked from continuing my words as my eyes start to tear up as soon as I realize that Saoto would also be sad if anything bad ever happen to me. However, to be real, I just don't want to lose him. I miss the moments I have spent with him. I miss seeing the smile on his face. To think all of it are gone right after seeing his lifeless body, I can't help but cry as hard as I can. Instantly, my eyes get fixed to Saoto in front of me as he wipes my tears that have been welling up for a while before continuing his words again.
"Saoto did that to get all the magic directed at Sei deflected. But, Saoto realize that Saoto was wrong..."

He says the same word again. But this time, I fully understand by what he means in his apology.
Saoto looks at me with a tearful face, understanding that he is also at fault in this situation. My head then get placed on his chest before he strokes my head gently to calm me down. Instantly, the red smokes reappear around me again. Accompanied by the warmth in his embrace, I then change back into my succubus form, no longer having the will to fight since all the disputes just now have been resolved. I now know the entire chronology of the events that just occurred in front of me. Instantly, the witch mutters something before getting shocked as soon as I glare sharply at her.

The woman then whistles, trying to forget what she's about to say. After satisfied being in Saoto's embrace for a while, I clear my throat again before asking her to make sure of something.

I keep staring mischievously at the woman in front of me, waiting for her answer. For a moment, a nervous expression emerges on her face as she's answering my question.

"L-like I said before, it wasn't intentional. I was just walking around the city, and then I suddenly tripped over a rock… and accidentally cast a spell somewhere…"

"Hurm... I hope they will welcome me well... Eek?!!"
The purple-haired and robed witch walked happily down the street while comforting herself before being surprised by suddenly falling to the ground. However, she was shocked again as soon as she turned around and saw the stone that had tripped her foot earlier.
"Wait a minute... Did I just trip over this rock..." (Staring)
The woman turned to look at the sky which was now illuminated by an orange light. The woman was shocked as soon as she saw a fire spell flying towards an unknown place.
"Damn... Did I cast the spell wrong earlier?!! I wanted to cast the spell so that I wouldn't get hurt when I fell but why did the fireball spell come out?!!" (Panic)
The woman then approached and asked the locals to make sure where her spell was heading. She was shocked as soon as she learned that her spell was heading towards the palace of the Demon King Miltia, Mahou Saoto.
("Welp… there goes my first impression…") (Give up)

"And that's why I need to show off my skills a little so that I can retain my image. And since I'm a great mage, none of the magic I cast hit both of you. Humm!!!" (Proud)
The woman raises her head to the sky while holding her waist with a proud expression on her face. Still unable to believe with what I just heard, I shake my head at her. Slowly, I mutter to myself right after seeing her attitude which is unbelievable for a Great Demon King.
("Sigh… How can someone who holds the title of Great Demon King be this reckless…? She's the complete opposite of Saoto…") (stared)
I'm letting out a long sigh as soon as I realize that all of the events that had occurred earlier are only caused by her casting a wrong magic spell during her fall. Instantly, I get startled by Saoto who has been silent suddenly rubs my head before saying something to me.
"Something like that can happen even to high-level magic users. The thing is, they only need to concentrate to cast spells without any incantation. So in a sudden situation like that, there's a chance they might miscast..."
"Eeeeeh..." (Staring)
I fall silent for a moment after listening to Saoto's explanation. If he himself has said that, who am I to deny it. This meant that the mistakes in incantations do happen frequently to high-class mages. I continue to scratch my chin that isn't itchy while thinking about something.
("Hurmm, I guess I can't blame her if that's the case. At least she never intended to seek for trouble here...") (Thinking)
"Well… reckless as I may be, I'm not crazy enough to go picking a fight with Maou Saoto. I acknowledge his strength as one of the Great Demon Kings. On top of that, he's proven himself capable of defeating Maou Baros, who was in power a few years ago"
The witch raises her hands as she explains her original intention. As expected, the news of Maou Baros's death has been spread among the other four Great Demon Kings for several years. In an instant, the witch looks back at me and Saoto while pointing her finger at us before saying something again.
"Listen carefully. I have no problem with both of you doing whatever crazy things you want as long as you don't disturb my territory. You have to realize that your actions are being watched right now..."
"And you..."
The woman then points her finger at Saoto.
"Don't mistake defeating one Demon King as proof of your strength. I'd rather not engage in a magic duel with you… so keep that in mind."
The woman immediately turns back before snapping her fingers. In an instant, the witch's presence disappears from the barren field that surrounds us. However, I keep looking at Saoto next to me for quite a while to make sure of something.
"A-Anu, Saoto... Earlier, that witch said she wasn't on the same level as Saoto yet. But, how come she can teleport back just like us..." (Surprised)
Saoto chuckles a little at my question. Saoto then looks back at my face before saying something.
"She's still in Miltia territory. Saoto guess it's true that she really doesn't want to seek trouble with us"
"Eeeeeeeeh...." (Staring)
I stare in disbelief at Saoto's words. If Saoto himself has said that, that means he could still sense the witch's presence inside Miltia territory even after using the same teleportation magic that Saoto and I had used to greet her earlier. But to think about it again, there's nothing to be surprised of him because this man next to me is no ordinary mage. I get swept away by my thought before I get startled by Saoto who suddenly strokes my head to ask me something.
"Since everything is over... Sei, should we pick up where we left off?"
Saoto smiles at me. My cheeks instantly turn red as soon as I recall that Saoto and I were still making out in the library at that time before a fire spell was cast and caused all the events we just faced. Red smokes instantly appear again around me who is still embarrassed to hear Saoto's question a moment ago. I now get even more embarrassed as soon as I see the light armor I just wore has changed into a pair of underwear that reveal my entire shape to Saoto next to me. Although embarrassed, I can't deny that I miss feeling the warmth of his body again after all the things that have happened. Instantly, I get startled by Saoto who suddenly hugs my body tightly from behind before he places his lips on my ear to whisper something.
"Since Sei can't wait for us to return, Saoto will continue right here and now. Besides, there's no one to disturb us in this barren land"
Saoto bites my ear again and plays with his tongue. I, who could no longer stand for him to do something to me, just let him do whatever he wants to me. I realize that I'm still not satisfied on making out with him in the library earlier as we were interrupted by Mahou Illia's arrival in the mid of it. My body jolts as soon as I feel his tongue moves around on my ear. My tail also sways slowly, showing him how calm I feel right now right after Saoto makes out with me again. Instantly, all of our worries just now disappear and replaced by the warm atmosphere that surrounding us.

On the border of Miltia, a magic circle gets engraved on the ground while glowing. The leaves of the trees blow hard as soon as the magic circle releases an immense aura before everything turns calm once a figure appears from it. Instantly, the figure clenches his fists tightly before grumbling about something.
"Who the hell is that Saoto guy.... There's no opening at all... I surely can't take him one on one. Laius is crazy too for asking me to test him and even asked me to kill him. I'm seriously going to get myself killed, just like Baros..."
The figure lets out his anger, upset about something. The figure then slowly walks away from Miltia before his presence totally disappears behind the dense forest.
