Sylas didn't have the time to care about this other stuff. He had spent quite a bit of time with the Omnimous, enough to know that it was interesting, but it wasn't the sort of thing he wanted to pursue.
The problem wasn't that the Omnimous wasn't powerful. It was instead that the dedication he would need to put into growing himself in a field that ultimately came down to resources and preparation… it wasn't good enough.
In fact, it would only leave more room for mistakes.
The more he had to prepare in advance, the more of a chance enemies he didn't understand could get a leg up on him and the more he would struggle.
By comparison, if he instead focused on his Dao, and using the more adaptable strength of his body, he would be able to better shift with the tides and react to unexpected outcomes.
In truth, these were only small reasons. He didn't actually care all that much about these things at all.
