The laughter of my children echoed throughout the Garden of Eden.
Atum sparred with the young Celestials.
Selene was teaching them strange games that I still failed to understand.
Oshtur sat beneath our beloved World Tree, smiling as she watched the younger generation.
And Gaea...
My beloved Gaea stood beside me, her emerald eyes filled with warmth.
Peace.
After losing Chthon and Set, I had thought such days would never return.
But life had continued.
And I had learned something.
No matter how painful the past may be...
Life always moved forward.
Yet as I gazed upon the countless stars in the universe, I noticed something.
Many worlds were isolated.
Beautiful planets filled with life.
Worlds waiting to prosper.
Yet separated by unimaginable distances.
And once again...
Loneliness.
Not unlike the loneliness I had felt when I first awoke.
Gaea seemed to notice my thoughts.
"You want to connect them."
I smiled.
"You know me too well."
She giggled softly.
"After all these millions of years, I should."
I looked toward the World Tree standing at the center of Eden.
The first tree we had nurtured together.
The symbol of our home.
"Our children have friends."
"The stars have neighbors."
"But the worlds themselves remain alone."
Gaea's eyes brightened.
"Then let's give them a family."
Together.
As always.
We placed our hands upon the World Tree.
I poured forth the power of Creation.
Gaea poured forth the power of Life.
And our beloved tree responded.
The World Tree glowed.
Its roots extended beyond Earth.
Beyond the Solar System.
Beyond galaxies.
Beyond clusters of galaxies.
Across the entire universe.
Branches of infinite beauty spread through the stars.
Touching world after world.
Countless habitable planets.
Countless civilizations yet to be born.
Countless lives.
And wherever the roots reached...
Smaller World Trees emerged.
Guardians.
Gateways.
Symbols of unity.
The universe itself rejoiced.
For the first time since creation...
No world would truly stand alone.
Golden pathways formed between planets.
Travel that once required millions of years could now be accomplished through the blessings of the World Tree.
And so...
The Great World Tree was born.
The Cosmic Yggdrasil.
Its roots touched endless worlds.
Its branches embraced the stars.
Its heart remained forever within the Garden of Eden.
Beside our home.
Beside our family.
Atum stared upward in astonishment.
"Father..."
Selene's eyes sparkled.
"It's beautiful!"
Even the young Celestials stood in awe.
Oshtur smiled proudly.
"My brother never does anything halfway."
I laughed.
"Neither do you, sister."
Gaea squeezed my hand.
And together, we admired our greatest creation.
Not a weapon.
Not an empire.
But a bridge.
A bridge connecting life itself.
As ages passed, countless civilizations would come to call the Great World Tree by many names.
The Cosmic Tree.
The Tree of Heaven.
Yggdrasil.
The Tree of Worlds.
The Mother Root.
But no matter what they called it...
Its purpose remained unchanged.
To connect.
To unite.
To ensure that no world would suffer the loneliness I once knew.
As I stood beneath the original World Tree beside Gaea, I closed my eyes.
And I smiled.
"Little brothers..."
"I hope you can see this."
"When you finally come home..."
"I'll show you everything."
Unknown to me, somewhere beyond the endless universe...
Within the Infinite Dimension...
Two sleeping souls trembled.
And for the briefest moment...
Chthon and Set smiled.
As though they had heard my voice.
And far away, upon one of the countless planets connected by the Great World Tree...
The first mortals opened their eyes.
The Age of Civilization had begun.
To Be Continued...
