Lu Shuangyue rolled her eyes dramatically at Liu Ergou's words.
"No, not at all! I don't miss you one bit!"
Hearing her disingenuous reply, Liu Ergou simply chuckled and pulled her onto his lap as he sat down.
As soon as she settled, Lu Shuangyue seemed to remember something and immediately asked, "Oh, right, Er Gou."
"How is the herbal medicine cultivation coming along? Is it progressing smoothly? Are you short on funds?"
"If you need anything, just ask me. I'll solve whatever problems I can for you!"
Liu Ergou nodded.
"Yeah, I know."
"As things stand, we're still a ways from planting the herbs. We've only just contracted the wasteland, and we ran into some minor issues during the process, which we're resolving now."
Lu Shuangyue didn't press the matter. She trusted Liu Ergou could handle it. She knew that if he truly encountered a problem he couldn't solve, he would ask for help immediately instead of stubbornly suffering in silence.
