Of course, there are bridges over the Nu River, and several large bridges are operational, but because the entire river is so long and local economic development lags behind, transportation cannot keep up.

So although there are several large bridges on the Nu River, the distance between each bridge is vast; some residents living far from the bridges would rather use a cable to cross the river than travel dozens of kilometers to a bridge.

Even though crossing by cable is dangerous, making a detour of dozens or even more than a hundred kilometers is simply unrealistic.

Unless you have no choice and need to transport a large number of agricultural products by vehicle, for daily travel, no one would opt to detour hundreds of kilometers to cross the river.

Taking a vehicle across the river is too expensive and not cost-effective, and walking would take more than a day for a round trip.
