"Brother Leon." Justin spoke as he immediately walked upto Leon.
"Justin Weaver, how are you? You were supposed to get married right?"
"Yes brother but I had to push the wedding forward as I still need to graduate from the academy. I failed some exams as i was too busy practicing real magic." Justin replied with a smile.
"Don't worry, theory never comes handy when it comes to magic."
*Cough-Cough*
Rees immediately coughed as he looked at Leon.
"Umm... You are dead. How are you coughing?" Justin asked with a confused expression as he looked at Rees.
"So, are you just here to meet me or what?"
"No, No brother. Weaver household came across very precious information a few days ago. I would like to share it with you because I think it can be of use to you." Justin spoke with a serious expression.
"Well, don't tell it here. Elis." Leon spoke with a neutral expression.
*Swish*
Suddenly, Elis appeared right over the dungeon's gate and without wasting another second she immediately bowed down to Leon.
"Master."
"Take our guest inside and keep him on the, third floor. I will be coming down shortly, serve him something to eat until then." Leon ordered.
"Yes, Master. Follow me please." Elis spoke as she opened the dungeon's gates.
"Ah, yes. Do you have anything sweet? I am like getting a sour mouth for some reason." Justin asked as he walked down the stairs.
"Yes, sir." Elis replied with a neutral expression as she kept walking forward.
...
"What to do with this now, master?" Dusk asked as he walked upto Leon with Gorgonia's head.
"Ah right this. Well, I will put this inside the dungeon." Leon spoke as he took the head out of Dusk's mouth.
"Master. You are alright." Fruela spoke as she walked out of the forest with a worried expression on her face.
"Hello, Darling. I hope everything went well?" Leon asked with a smile.
"Yes, master. All the statues were stopped but there are now so many corpses lying inside the forest.
Should we burn them?" Fruela asked with a confused expression.
"No, No, don't burn anything. Someone will come searching for them sooner or later. Just let them be."
"As you command, Master." Fruela replied as she immediately bowed down to Leon.
"I have moved all the human corpses in one location and the slimes are keeping an eye on them for now, Dungeon Master.
The wild monsters won't eat them as long as the slimes are on protection." The Slime Algam spoke as he walked out from behind the bushes and immediately knelt down in front of Leon.
"Good work...."
"You can just call me a Slime Algam or if you want a shorter name, you can choose one for me, Dungeon Master."
"Ugh, naming someone again. I hate it but I can't use such a long name as well, so I will just call you slimy." Leon replied with a neutral expression.
"Slimy, I accept that name, Dungeon Master." Slimy replied in a neutral tone as he noticed that Rees is observing him from different angles as he stroked his skully chin.
"Something wrong?" Slimy asked as he turned his head towards Rees.
"Oh no no, you guys keep talking. It's my first time seeing one of you in person. I only readed about you in ancient grimoires." Rees replied.
"Oh and by the way, you need to get smarter. You weren't the one who found Gorgonia's location, it was Gorgonia who placed it inside your head so you can tell it to me and I will go to her instead.
Rees and Dreulis will make you smart." Leon spoke as he looked at Rees.
"Oh I will make him smart." Rees replied in an excited tone.
*Swish*
Suddenly, Dreulis appeared in front of Leon.
"W-What!? How is that possible!?" Dreulis asked in a shocked tone as he looked at Leon.
"I am wondering the same thing. I flew all the way here and you teleported, yet it took you so much time."
"Wait, how much time has passed since then?" Dreulis asked in a worried tone.
"Around three or four minutes." Leon replied with a neutral expression.
"Oh no no no... It's happening." Dreulis spoke as he immediately sat down on the ground.
"Hmm...? Something wrong?" Leon asked with a confused expression.
"The teleportation delay, Master. It only happens when a Lich's connection to the source starts to fade away." Rees replied as he looked at Leon.
"I don't understand. What source?"
"Master a Lich is not something that should exist in the course of nature. Unlike other undeads who needs resources to keep themselves alive, we don't need that.
All the Lich are connected to a source of life and in most cases it's a Demon, Demi-God or some kind of fallen angel but once that entity dies the source of life starts to fade away for the lich as well.
The teleportation spell starts to delay because everytime he tries to teleport, his soul will enter a space that works like a teleportation room it's very complicated process, just understand that your soul gets pulled out of your body and the body itself get's erased out of existence then it forms back in another place and your soul gets attached back to it.
But his soul is taking time as it's being confused where to go, the body or to the other side. There is no telling how many times he will be able to do it before only his body remains." Rees explained.
"I will just not do it until I find another source for myself. I have to start searching right now." Dreulis replied as he immediately stood up and walked inside the dungeon.
"Wait, so you are telling me that whenever someone uses a teleportation spell, they get erased out of existence and gets built back at the other side of the spell?" Leon asked with a serious expression as he looked at Rees.
"Well, you can't say it like that master. You see only the body gets erased out of existence, your soul still remains and the new body that's built on the other end of the spell, is exactly as the previous one." Rees replied.
"Now I know what kind of spell I am not using anymore." Leon replied with a neutral expression.
"That's why we use it on undead creatures and non-living things master. Teleportation spells were never meant for living beings in the first place.
The origin of these spells are still unknown, but there are thousands of stories about it. Some say that a great lich mage created them and some say that gods bestowed them upon to Demi-Gods as they are not bound by bodies to travel but some Demi-Gods got greedy and sold them to undeads.
There are a thousand more things about magic origins and this was also only a theory until the Lichs came into existence but then it was confirmed that yes souls are torn away from the physical body when the teleportation spells are used." Rees explained as he looked at Leon.
"What happens to Rees now?"
"Well, he might need to search for a new source of he wants to keep on living as a Lich."
"What's your source?" Leon asked with a confused expression.
"A demon is my source. I made a contract with him in order to turn myself into a Lich although I can't reveal his name or the process we went through as it's written in my contract that he holds." Rees replied in a neutral tone.
"So, a demon is sharing his own life spend with you?"
"Yes, you can put it that way master." Rees replied with a neutral expression.
"Well, what did you give him in return for becoming a Lich? I mean a demon won't sign a deal that won't give him any profit and-" Suddenly Leon stopped speaking as he remembered something.
"Wait, wait, wait... that day when Dreulis said that you killed millions of people, is that what you did for the demon in exchange for becoming a Lich?" Leon asked with a curious expression.
"Haa, I never thought I will have to tell this to someone but since it's not written in my contract and I am your slave, I will have to tell you master." Rees spoke in a neutral tone.
"Wait, Fruela take this head to Elis and tell her to keep it safe in an empty room for the time being and don't let anyone else touch it." Leon spoke as he handed over Gorgonia's head to Fruela.
"Yes, Master." Fruela replied as she immediately took the head and went inside the dungeon.
"Dungeon Master, can I go inside as well? I want to start producing more slimes in order to create more like me." Slimy spoke as he looked at Leon.
"Yeah, sure. Go crazy having whatever kind of sex you guys have to reproduce." Leon replied with a neutral expression as he looked at slimy.
"Thank you, Dungeon Master. You have my undying loyalty for giving us home in your dungeon." Slimy spoke as he bowed down to Leon and walked into the dungeon.
*YAWWWWWN*
Suddenly, Dusk yawned loudly as his eyes started to close.
"Dusk, if you want to sleep you can go inside as well." Leon replied as he turned to look at Dusk.
"Thank you, master. I will go and take a nap, if something comes up, just say my name master. I will be in front of you before my name ends." Dusk spoke as he immediately walked inside the dungeon while yawning.
"Well, it's just you and me now, spill your secrets. You know, when we were fighting that Hob-goblin the other day, you were acting so scared I thought you are not made for combat at all. Why would you act like that?" Leon asked with a confused smile.
"Master, a soldier never seeks war and when you have killed too many, you start to fear of what you might become if you continued on this path.
I was scared of what I was becoming that's why I started fearing Myself." Rees replied as he immediately slammed his wand against the ground and tree roots started coming out of the ground.
The roots slowly curled up into each other and formed two chairs behind both of them.
"You should take a seat now, master." Rees spoke in a neutral tone.
"Umm okay, is this going to be a long story?" Leon asked with a confused expression as he sat down.
"Not a long one but it will be very disgusting and inhumane." Rees replied as he also took a seat.
"I can't tell you about the events that took place on the day when I became a Lich, so I will tell you what happened after that.
It was two hundred years ago, when the demon had completed his side of the deal and in exchange he gave me two options, either I give him my soul and burn in hell once I get killed or give him souls that are equal to my own.
Now, I didn't read the whole contract but on it there was a clause that allowed the demon to decide the worth of my soul, in case I disagreed to give him my soul.
And when I asked him about the worth of my soul, well he gave me a number that was ridiculous to even hear and the moment I accepted that number because it was the only logical thing to do, I knew I wasn't a human anymore." Rees spoke in a dissapointed tone.
"What was the number?" Leon asked with a serious and curious expression.
"One million and one soul, all of them belonging to intelligent creatures."
"He said your soul is worth One million and One sentient souls? And you accepted to kill one million humans for him?" Leon asked with curious face.
"That was the loophole that I exploited, I knew he never mentioning humans, he just said sentient souls that meant I was allowed to kill anything that could think.
I killed thousands of small demons and intelligent monsters using tricks and traps that were created using black magic, that I was studying at that time.
It was going all good but the demon that I made the deal with was very greedy, he set-up a time limit on the soul collection time for me, two months was all I got.
I didn't knew what to do at that moment and that's when I came across a young alchemist, Gura was his name and he was working on a poison that could kill millions with just two or three drops maximum per person.
He wanted to develop it as a bluffing weapon for his kingdom in order to become a Royal Alchemist, I joined him in his research and in just one month, with my help he developed the most dangerous poison known to any creature on this land at that time.
We called it 'Ven-Kronos'. A deadly poison that was transferred from one person to another almost immediately through, water, food and air the infected people breathe out.
It killed them slowly overtime, a very painful death, where the infected would scream in pain and agony but no one could do anything as till that tike the poison was at its critical stage. Not even ease there pain through any medicine was possible at that stage.
And in the last stages, the infected would lose his senses and attack his close ones and when Gura saw this in a test subject, his soul started shivering in fear.
In just two days, he created a cure for the poison that was eighty percent effective against it.
I wasn't happy as it would interfere with my plans and that's why I had to kill h—"
"Wait, Wait, Wait... what was the name of that alchemist again?" Leon asked with a serious expression.
"Gura Grandom." Rees replied immediately.
"Umm, is there any chance that he wore this?" Leon asked as he immediately pulled out the Gura's alchemist clothes and showed it to Rees.
"Oh my god, yes. He wore this all the time and carried around like a thousand potions inside it. Where did you get this master?" Rees asked as he touched the clothes.
"Inside an old alchemy store. It was stolen and sold after you killed him."
"There is no day that goes by and I don't regret killing that young man. He could've been a great help to humans and alchemy. What a shame." Rees replied in a sad tone.
"Continue, what were your plans?" Leon asked as he immediately placed the Alchemist's set back into his inventory without much care.
"Well, you see after roaming around the world so much I found out some monster tribes that were intelligent but lived in forests.
Now, they were a threat to humans, Elfs and dwarfs as they were reproducing at an incredible pace and if it had continued, they would've built giant armies to rundown Kingdoms—"
"So, you decided to take care of them on your own. You are one evil guy, you know that?" Leon replied with a smile.
"Well, it was the only logical thing to do. I thought I would help the other races and myself after killing them.
So, I released Ven-Kronos and ended all of them, in just fifteen days I killed over seven hundred thousand monsters without a shred of regret or compassion.
It brought up my soul count to nine hundred thousand but I still needed more and that's when I came across this kingdom that was built inside a forest by some very intelligent monsters and when I say intelligent, I mean they were more intelligent the humans.
These monsters, they named their own race and called themselves, The Frobolusents."
As soon as Leon heard this name, his eyes widened.
"These creatures were-" Rees continued but before he could've said anything else, Leon interrupted him.
"Did you just say 'Frobolusents'?"
"Yes master. That's what they called themselves." Rees replied immediately.
"Huge guys with three heads?" Leon asked with a neutral expression.
"Yes, Master. wait, how do you know that? Frobolusents don't really let other races know about themselves, especially humans as they consider us a very violent race. How did you know what a Frobolusent looks like?" Rees asked in a confused tone.
"Did you wiped them out of existence or what?"
"It's a little complicated master. You see when I visited the Frobolusent kingdom it was already affected by a deadly plague called 'The Great Red' and it was there for eleven hundred years or so I heard.
They shared their knowledge with me and I shared mine with them. I told them about Ven-kronos as a part of the wisdom transfer but they started asking more about it and I told them, what it was capable of.
Then they made an odd request and that was something I couldn't understand till this day. They wanted me to test the poison on one of them as they believed that if Ven-kronos is stronger than the plague they are affected by right now then it can kill the plague inside them.
They only needed to find the cure to my poison, but when we tested the poison on one of the Frobolusent it didn't affect them at all.
I knew I couldn't kill them with the poison, so I said my goodbyes and left the kingdom shortly, then I went to a nearby settlement of 'Rixens' and wiped them off completely as they were a really hostile tribe of monsters and completed my promised souls to that demon." Rees replied as he looked at Leon.
"Phew, how many races in total have you completely wiped off till this day?" Leon asked with a neutral expression.
"Umm, exactly 14 races master." Rees replied.
"So, you saved your soul after wiping out fourteen races from the face of this world?"
"Yes, master and for some reason, I expected a different reaction from you. I thought you will call me a monster and other things but you are just smiling." Rees spoke as he looked at Leon.
"Well, it's not like you did it for fun or just to amuse yourself. You did it for survival and that's what we do, burn the world to survive if that's what it takes because the world will do the same to you.
Although it's a thing that you didn't kill any humans. Because you could've released the poison in a human kingdom and you would've gotten one million souls easily."
"I was a human before master and I think my soul stopped me from doing it for that reason." Rees replied as he also stood up.
"Well, I have everything I needed to hear. You can go work now. I will also see what justin-" Before Leon could've completed his sentence, he sensed something.
*Step-Step-Step-Step-Step-Step-Step*
"Hmm? Looks like the other guests are here as well." Leon spoke in a low voice as a smile appeared over his face.
"Master, someone just crossed the proximity spells and is headed towards us. Should I activate the defensive and offensive spells?" Rees asked in a serious tone.
"No, No, let them come. I know who it is and I want to have a chat with them. Remove the chairs and make me something comfortable to sit on."
"As you command, Master." Rees replied as he immediately slammed his wand against the ground.
Suddenly, both of the chairs went back inside the ground and larger tree roots sprouted out of the ground. They weaved together and made a larger throne for Leon to sit on.
Leon slowly walked towards the throne and took a seat on it.
"Master, would you like me to adjust the height of the throne?" Rees asked.
"Not now."
"Understood, Sir."
...
*Step-Step-Step-Step-Step-Step-Step*
Suddenly, two royal white horses walked out from behind the bushes and sitting over them was Frenir and Adwin.
"Woah..." Frenir spoke as he saw Leon sitting on the throne and his widened in shock.
'What the hell!? How did he know we were coming? We didn't even make any noise and these royal horses are enchanted with stealth magic.
And that huge throne, it wasn't here last time. Wait, is it coming out of the ground?' Frenir thought as he observed Leon and his surroundings.
"Leon Luster." Adwin spoke as he immediately stepped down from his horse with a neutral expression on his face.
"Hello, Adwin." Leon replied with a smile as he placed his hand on the throne's hand rest, made his palm into a fist and placed it under his chin while tilting it to the side a little.
"I didn't want to meet you again so soon." Adwin spoke with a serious expression.
"Don't worry, the feeling is mutual. What are you doing here?" Leon asked with a bored expression.
"We are here to pick up something. So, why don't you get out of my way?" Adwin asked with a neutral expression.
"And, what is it that you are trying to pick up? Because it's sure as hell not the corpses or only the two of you wouldn't be here." Leon replied.
"Sir, we are here to pick up the head of Gorgonia De Struct. Can you help us and tell where it is? Because if it's not found, it can cause massive trouble in the future.
We have found some ancient scriptures that tell us, if her head is left unattended, the next living thing that-"
"I know, I know. The next thing that looks into her eyes will turn into a stone statue and start to search for a suitable body for her head so she can be revived again.
Don't worry about it, I have destroyed the head." Leon replied with a neutral expression.
"Oh no, *sigh*" Frenir spoke with a dissapointed expression as he immediately looked down and let out a firm sigh.
"Didn't I tell you? Just a kid trying to overpower everything and using no brain of his own." Adwin spoke as he looked at Frenir.
"Hmm? Did I do something wrong?" Leon asked with a curious expression as he looked at Adwin.
"You idiot, that head was cursed and enchanted with teleportation spell. When someone tries to forcefully destroy it, the enchantments will get activated and the head will be teleported to anywhere in the world.
You weren't supposed to destroy it." Adwin spoke as he placed his index finger and thumb over his eyes.
"Oh that's what I was thinking, when I was done casting the spell over it. I checked the place for debris but didn't find any, I guess you are right, it really dissapeared.
Well, who cares? I killed her and it's all good now." Leon replied with a carefree expression.
"Fuck it. Let's just get your father's body and get out of here." Adwin replied with a neutral expression as he sat back on his horse.
"Sir, have you seen my father's body? Sir Trevor J. Raymond." Frenir asked with a neutral expression.
"Why are you calling him, Sir? He is just a kid and he is younger than both of us." Adwin asked in an angry tone as he looked at Frenir.
"But-"
"Looks like he knows who holds more power here and only power gets respect, Adwin." Leon spoke in a mocking tone as he smiled at Adwin.
"Do you really want to fight me?" Adwin asked with a serious expression as his hand immediately went to his sword's hilt.
"Please both of you. This is not the time to start a fight. This is a moment of sadness and sorrow, our closest have died, people of my kingdom are crying and we really need the corpses of their family members." Frenir spoke in a serious tone as he looked at Leon.
"Haa, fine. Most of the corpses are around 400 meters south from here and some of the corpses are inside the cave that's Gorgonia was in but they are in pretty bad shape.
The cave is around ten kilometres from here if you keep walking south from the corpses and it's behind a waterfall, so keep that in mind. See you have a whatever kind of day you are having." Leon spoke with a bored expression as he stood up and walked back inside the dungeon.
Rees followed him inside as well and the dungeon's gates were closed automatically.
*THUD*
"I fucking hate that brat. MOTHERFUCKER." Adwin shouted as anger was clearly visible on his face.
"Sir Adwin, let's just go and get the corpse of my father and order the guards to bring the rest of the corpses back to the kingdom as well." Frenir replied as he swinged the reins of his horse and it started walking forward immediately.
*Step-Step-Step-Step-Step-Step-Step*
'So, that was Leon Luster. Hmm, I need to set up a secret meeting with him.' Frenir thought as he looked around the forest.

Vergas Empire, Demonic church Top Floor...
Mother Marie stood in front of the mirror of her room with a smile on her face.
"Why do you looks so happy, my child?" A heavy voice came from inside the mirror as, black mist covered her reflection and two glowing red eyes appeared in it.
"Master, you will be back in the real world in just two days and I will be able to touch you. You will also be able to take my virginity that I am saving for you and only you for the last 85 years.
After that I will give birth your son or daughter and become the mother of the most powerful demon, Ahhh, I am just so excited." Mother Marie spoke as she placed both of her hands over her cheeks and started smiling even more.
"Hahaha, I like it how excited you are about my revival. I shall reward you once I come out and-"
Suddenly the demon stopped speaking.
"What happened, Master?" Mother Marie asked with a confused expression.
"Gorgonia is dead." The demon spoke in a very angry and dissapointed tone.
"What!? But we just revived her a few days ago. How did she-"
"I DON'T FUCKING KNOW, YOU FUCKING CUNT." The demon shouted loudly as the whole room's temprature started rising and his eyes started to get bigger.
"I-I-I am very sorry for my behaviour, Master." Mother Marie spoke as she immediately went down on her knees, placed both of her hands on the ground and then pressed her head against the floor.
"I sent her to take over the fucking human kingdoms, I knew she will fail but I just wanted her to stall me some time until my revival but that bitch couldn't even hold out for seven fucking days.
Failing so miserably as a monster who doesn't even have to enter the battlefield, I have that bitch a quater of my powers and what she did with them? She decided to FUCKING DIE." The demon shouted as the flames on the candles started to rise and flicker, threatening to jump out and spread around at any moment.
"Master, please claim down. I beg you or everything will burn under your rage. Please great lord, you need not to worry about your revival, I will personally take care of everything and see to it that nothing comes in between you and your revival, even if I have to sacrifice myself." Mother Marie spoke with a worried expression as she didn't dared to raise her head from the floor.
"Haa, you are right. Anger won't do me any good. I need to send someone else in order to take away the attention but who should I send, that doesn't turn into a complete dissapoinment?"
"I will think about it later. First Marie, try to find out what happened to Gorgonia and who killed her." The demon ordered as he looked at Maria.
"Master, I-I also have something that I want to tell you." Mother Marie spoke in a scared and hesitated tone.
"What is it?" He asked in a confused tone.
"Well, you know Terisa right?" Mother Marie asked as her whole body started shivering.
"The informant who gives you information about human Kingdom. What about her?"
"Sir, she is not responding to me for the last two days and I can't even sense the demonic seed that was inside her head.
It was as if she just dissapeared from the face of this world. I can't seem to get a hold of her, I sent some people to the human Kingdom's church but turns out she wasn't there as well and even the church is trying to find her whereabouts." Mother Marie replied as she immediately closed her eyes.
"Hmm, what was the last task you gave her?" The demon asked in a calm tone.
"I-I ordered her to search for the one who killed Merlin, sir." Mother Marie replied as she slowly raised her hand.
"Hmm, she is not responding because she is captured by the same human who killed Merlin and this human is not someone weak, he is powerful if he removed the demonic seed from her head."
"Master, how do you know that he removed the seed from her head? Didn't you say that it was almost next to impossible?" Mother Marie asked with a scared expression.
"That's why I used the word'Almost' in front of impossible because it is always possible to do everything, I just never thought that there would be someone with such ancient knowledge who can extract a demonic seed alive from someone's body and it's still alive, I can sense it's presence but I just can't determine it's location.
It's near the human kingdom but not quite inside the kingdom. Whatever, just let it be for now. I don't want any problems for the next two days.
Keep watch on the borders and stop any trades for the next two days. Keep anyone from going out and anyone from coming in." The demon ordered.
"As you command, Master." Mother Marie replied as she immediately placed her head against the floor again.
...
Inside the dungeon, Third Floor...
Leon sat directly across Justin on a wooden dinning table.
"Brother Leon, where did you get all this furniture from? I saw some really good stuff on the first floor as well. Did you make this yourself?" Justin asked with an excited smile as he looked at the table carefully.
"I know a guy who is a carpenter and does some pretty good work. Now, how about we start on the thing that you were telling me about outside?" Leon asked with a neutral expression as he picked up the glass of wine from the table and took a sip from it.
*Sip*
"Haaa, Nice wine."
"Yes, so do you know about the Vergas Empire?" Justin asked with a neutral expression.
"Ah right, that was thing I was forgetting for the past three hours and it was in the back of my mind. I know about Vergas Empire, what do you know?" Leon asked as he drank the whole glass of wine.
"A spy has revealed that there is going to be a festival there but that is just a show, actually they are conducting a mass revival ritual for a demon."
"My father never liked Vergas Empire, although they traded food and liquor from our kingdom, he always thought that something was very odd about them.
That's why he sent multiple spies inside the Kingdom in order to get information, although most of them ended up getting caught but one remained and he is still there supplying regular information to us.
Today when his letter came in, it had an urgent seal over it that's why I opened it and readed the letter.
It was stated in that letter, that in two days there is going to be a big festival in Vergas Empire but it's just going to be a show for the unknown audience because in reality, it is going to be a demon summoning ritual for a demon named-"
"Rup-Er Trolin?" Leon interrupted with a smile as he took another sip from the wine glass.
"Wait, you know him?" Justin asked with a shocked expression.
"Justin, I know everything you just told me. It's not new information, what I want to know is what will your father do in this situation?" Leon asked with a blank look.
"Well, I am pretty sure he must be running to King Adwin right now in order to show him the letter. Then it will all be upto king adwin if he will take any action on it or dismiss it by calling it a silly rumour and to be honest, I don't think any action will be taken against the Vergas Empire."
"Why is that?" Leon asked with a curious expression.
"Why would he want to kill trades with a kingdom that funds 30% of our Kingdom's total economy?
First of all, we will loose the money that's coming in from the trades and the extra food that we grow only for trading with Vergas Empire will also go to waste and we can't sell it cheap into the market to normal people because that would create a huge fluctuation in the economy, so big that it can collapse it completely." Justin explained.
'Why can't economy and taxes leave me alone in another world?' Leon spoke inwardly as a dissapointed expression appeared over his face.
"Brother Leon, are you going to do something about it?" Justin asked with a curious smile.
"I don't know, yet." Leon replied with a neutral expression but in his mind he was thinking something else.
'Obviously I am going to stop her. Why would I let her use all those ketones on a demon when I can use them to get myself another summon.'
"Well, if you want to like kill that demon or something just contact me and I will come with you to help. I want to go I to combat with you brother.
It's my life's wish to go into the battlefield with an expert who knows what he is doing and achieve something impossible.
I think in my life that someone is your brother Leon. I am going to be the leader of weaver household but everyone sees us as a big information trading library and I want to change that view.
I want to do something that can make our image more intimidating in front of others and no one dares to cross sword with us again." Justin spoke with a serious expression as he stood up from the table and looked at Leon with big eyes.
"Don't worry, you will make that image soon. For now just go back and prepare for your exam and then prepare for your marriage." Leon replied with a neutral expression.
"I will obey you, brother Leon. I will obey you until the end. Weaver household is at your service whenever you need us. I will take my leave now but do tell me if you decided to invade the Vergas Empire." Justin spoke as he started walking towards the room's exit.
"Yes, Yes, I will. See you later" Leon replied with a smile.
Justin left the room and as soon as he left the room, Leon turned around.
"Elis..."
*Swish*
"Master." Elis spoke as she immediately appeared in front of Leon and bowed down to him.
"Take me to whatever floor Dreulis is on." Leon ordered.
"As you command, Master." Elis replied as both of them dissapeared immediately.
*Swish-Swish*
...
Thirteenth Floor,
"No, No, No, this one won't work. This Demi-God is too arrogant. He won't listen to me. This guy is just a cheap demon, he won't work either.
FUCKKKKKKKK... What am I even supposed to do!??? Who will make a contract with me!??" Dreulis shouted as he immediately sat down on the ground and started looking at the names he had written on the floor in three circles of a Venn diagram.
"How about that-"
"AHHHHHHH." Dreulis screamed as he got scared and immediately ran away.
He then turned around and noticed that Leon was standing there with a smile on his face.
"Looks like for undeads you guys have too much human reflex and emotions." Leon replied.
"I-I wasn't scared master. It was just a yawn." Dreulis replied immediately.
"When was the last time you slept, princess?" Leon asked in a flat tone.
"Don't tell Rees about this but I don't like jump scares and I know I am an undead and all, but I just don't like them." Dreulis replied as he walked back to Leon.
"I won't don't worry. So, you were trying to look for someone to have a contract with. What are the three circles for?" Leon asked with a neutral expression as looked at the venn diagram.
"These ones are Demons, these are Demi-Gods and these right here are fallen angels who once served the gods and will do anything to restore their glory." Dreulis spoke as he pointed towards the names.
"How do you even know these names? Like how do you know which angel has fallen?" Leon asked with a confused expression.
"Fairies master. They talk way too much and I have been in between many of them." Dreulis replied.
"Fairies? You mean the fairies of the forest?" Leon asked with a confused expression.
"Yes, Yes." Dreulis replied as he started crossing names off of the circles.
"How do the fairies know what's happening in between gods and angels?"
"Well, it's not like angels fall every day, master. It happens barely in 400-500 years and when a angle falls down from their position, he or she is thrown down here, in this world so they can die like a pathetic mortal.
I mean taking immortality from an angel and throwing him in between the mortals is a pretty big punishment in itself. They have to work, earn and feed themselves in order to even stay alive. Most start praying immediately to whatever god they wish to believe in hopes of getting accepted back but some also start plotting there revenge against the gods who threw them out.
These are the angels that we choose in order to make contract with, as they will do anything to increase their powers and followers." Dreulis explained.
"I see. What about the Demi-Gods? Why do they sign contract with you?" Leon asked with a neutral expression as he pointed towards the Demi-God's names.
"Because they are Demi-Gods. Most of the Demi-Gods were once from this world like Elfs, Goblins, Demons or humans.
Once a being achieves significant powers they become Demi-God and these Gods don't interfere in the mortal world anymore because they know that their power is just too much for the world to handle.
So, in order to keep themselves entertained Demi-Gods make contracts with the likes of us but that contract is based on competition most of the times." Dreulis explained as he crossed off the names of Demi-Gods from the circle as well.
"What kind of competition?" Leon asked, curious.
"Well, they get their amusement from getting their own contracted beings to fight each other. Sometimes it's the same Demi-God's contracted beings and sometimes two different Demi-Gods get their contracted beings to fight for them so they can decide who will rule that area or realm. Just like the black market.
A Demi-God rules that place but his contracted being keeps an eye on it for him. Demi-Gods are kind of sadistic bastards if you ask me." Dreulis spoke in a neutral tone.
"Demons? Well, you already had contract with one of those." Leon replied with a neutral expression.
"I did and he died for some reason and so did my contract. Fucking hell, why do demons have to die? I signed the contract with a demon just because they are the most cowardly ones and mostly survive just about everything. Such a dissapoinment." Dreulis replied in a dissapointed tone.
"What was your demon's demand when you signed the contract? I mean since the contract doesn't stand anymore, you can disclose the details right?" Leon asked with a neutral expression.
"Haa, fine. I was a professor at a second grade academy teaching magic to students who were passionate and respected me very much.
But, one day I fell in love with this other teacher who always smiled at me and we decided to get married. After our marriage I figured out that I wasn't the only one she smiled at and she only married me because of my money.
I was okay with it, since we were already married and everything, I begged her to stop meeting other guys behind my back, begging might be a small word as I literally grabbed her legs and cried out my eyes in front of her, but she wouldn't listen to me.
I died everyday when I saw her talking to other guys. You don't have any idea what it feels to see your woman with another man, it fucking burns." Dreulis spoke in an angry voice as the flames in his eyes glowed brightly blue.
"Well, why didn't you just divorced her?" Leon asked with a neutral expression.
"What's a'Divorce'?" Dreulis asked with a confused expression.
'Ah right, they don't have the concept of divorce over here.' Leon thought in his mind.
"I mean, why didn't you just left her and married another girl?" He replied with a neutral expression.
"I can't leave her like that. She is my wife. A husband and wife can't live separately like that or my reputation would've been completely tarnished." Dreulis replied immediately.
"Okay, so what happened next?" Leon asked with a curious expression.
"One day, when I was eating my dinner I noticed that there was something odd about the food, I just couldn't figure it out.
But turns out it was a paralysis drug that she had slipped into my food. After paralysing me, she placed a mana restraining collar on my neck and invited her lover, they dragged me to the bedroom and started removing their clothes, they started mating right in front of my eyes.
I felt that torture for the next seven minutes and after mating with each other, she walked upto me and on her lover's demand she stabbed me in the heart with my own dagger.
As I was dying, the urge to take revenge on that bitch burned brighter than the sun in the sky. That's when I met that demon, Azul-Ermer.
He offered me a deal that was too good to be true, immortality and revenge on those who wronged me. I took it immediately without even knowing what he wanted in return and that was my biggest mistake.
I came back to life as a Lich and what happened after that isn't something that I am proud of." Dreulis spoke.
"For some reason, I think I am going to be very proud of you in the next part of your story. Spill it out." Leon replied with a smile.
"I woke up from the dead. My emotions and morales were at the bottom except one, revenge...at that time. Walked out of my grave and went straight back to my house.
I didn't kill them simply, no, no, no, a simple death was too merciful for them. I tortured them, pulled out every single nerve from their bodies using magic. I healed them slowly and repeatedly tortured them till morning, they screamed and screamed until both of them died from heart attacks.
After killing them, I understood that there was no one else to blame for the anger that I was still feeling and killing them only made it worse, but my worst nightmare was still to come, as the demon came back to collect his debt." Rees spoke as his tone started to get heavier.
"What was the Demon asking for in return?" Leon asked with a serious expression.
"He was amused by the way I killed my wife and her lover and he wanted to see more. He wanted to see how brutal I can get and that's why he asked for ten human lives, but each of these humans will be choosen by that demon and I will have to kill them in the same or even brutal manner." Dreulis replied.
"Who were the ten humans?" Leon asked with a confused expression.
"First one was my assistant, because she showed affection towards me and looked upto me. I had to torture her to death while she asked for her mistake over and over.
She kept begging me to let her go buy I didn't have any other choice, my contract forbid me to even take my own life. After her, anyone who ever showed affection towards me or got attached to me, ended up in the same condition.
The demon made a set of rules that forbade me from getting out of his filthy game.
If someone talks to me, I had to act normal. I can't do intentional things that would make the target feel uneasy around me.
After taking ten lives, the contract was finally completed but the pain remained within me for years and years.
I spent around three hundred years inside a cave, just to figure out why I was feeling emotions even as an undead and that's when I found out that it's neither your brain, nor your heart that feels the pain... It's the soul that gets hurt and that was the only thing that I had left in my body.
Believe me it was the shittiest feeling you can ever get in this whole world. Because I remember the face of every person I killed and every single one of their cries. That's one of the reason why I don't want to sign the contract with a demon this time and if I did, I will be very careful about his demands." Dreulis replied in a serious tone as he cutted off the names of demons as well and at last only six names remained, two from each category.
"Looks like you have selected the most eligible candidates from every category." Leon spoke with a smile as he looked at the name.
"These are the only ones who would want to establish a contract with me considering their dire situations.
These fallen angels are on the verge of getting wiped out from existence due to their old age.
The Demi-Gods, one of them is too weak and he is hiding from other Demi-Gods because they want to kill him. Other one is just too greedy and he will accept my contract without thinking twice but the things he will ask in return will be heavy.
The Demons, now these demons are the real deal. One of them is Jernet-Yula, the demon servant working directly under one of the seven deadly sin, Sloth." Dreulis explained.
"So?"
"The demons working under the seven deadly sins never ask for a small price but the contracts you sign with them are damn powerful.
But the other one is even more scary than this one." Dreulis spoke.
"Why is that? Is he also working under a deadly sin?" Leon asked with a curious expression.
"He is from the purgatory. The darkest corner of hell. Demons from purgatory are the most evil and inhumane. Only the most damned souls are sent to purgatory and when they consume other equally evil souls, that's when they become demons.
Signing contract with these demons is banned even for us Lichs, but I still have to consider him as an option, I don't have many choices." Dreulis replied as he looked at Leon.
"So, how do you sign this contract?" Leon asked with a curious expression.
"I will now start summoning them into this room one by one, but don't worry master, they can't walk out of the summoning circle or cast any magic spells until I allow them to." Dreulis explained.
"Well, them let's start this... I want to see how good can you negotiate with fallen angels, Demi-Gods and Demons for your contract. You don't have a problem with me watching right?" Leon asked with a neutral expression.
"No, No master. Just try not to speak until our contract is sealed or they get pretty upset if someone from a third party speaks in between the contract." Dreulis instructed.
"I understand. Elis, chair." Leon ordered as he let go of his body and his body started to fall back, but suddenly a smooth chair made out of stone immediately rose from the ground and caught him mid-fall.
*Sit*
"Let me just complete the summoning rituals." Dreulis spoke as he started drawing a magic circle on the ground using his wand.
In just a few seconds he completed the magic circle and left the wand in between the circle.
"Tresero Summoro albero Tremaro, Fallen Angel Tyreine." Dreulis enchanted as he supplied mana to the magic circle and it glowed brightly white for a second before a white figure appeared in the middle of the circle right next to his wand.
The white figure slowly took a human's form, a very old human with long white hairs coming down to it's lower hips, her face wasn't clearly visible as it was covered by the hairs and she holded a cane in her right hand.
'Hmm? Is this a fallen angel? Looks like some really old lady.' Leon thought with a neutral expression as he looked at her.
"Hmm? Are you the one who summoned me?" The old lady asked as she raised her cane towards Leon.
"Oh gracious angel, I am the one who summoned you." Dreulis spoke up before Leon could've opened his mouth.
"Hmm? A Lich? Why would a Lich summon me?" The angel asked in a confused tone.
"Would you like to form a contract with me?" Dreulis replied immediately.
