Chapter 4644: Confirming the Identity
After much discussion between Little Tree and Chaos Child, their focus narrowed to three possible culprits.
Back then, when ranking the chaos beasts, the top was the Primal Chaos Desolate Dragon, followed by the Sky Covering Beast, and then the Ancient Desolate Bull.
According to them, only these three could have done it.
The Sky Covering Beast was born with the strongest space warping ability if it gained the power of time, it would benefit greatly.
But he was the first one ruled out. Lin Moyu was now certain that the Sky Covering Beast was actually "Dao," and that the one hiding in the shadows was not him.
That left just The Primal Chaos Desolate Dragon and the Ancient Desolate Bull.
The Bull was famed for defense, not attack; his defenses were so formidable even the Dragon couldn't do anything to him.
He had a chance of escaping from the Shadow Bug Queen alive.
But the Bull didn't excel at time or space, even if he had a treasure. Why hunt Shadow Bugs?
At the time of Little Tree and Chaos Child's fall, the Bull hadn't died yet. Afterward, they weren't sure what happened to him.
So while not ruled out completely, the Bull was unlikely.
Compared to him, the odds pointed to the Primal Chaos Desolate Dragon, the era's top acknowledged powerhouse.
He was almost perfect, an all rounder second only to the Bull in defense, but far superior in attack and technique.
His exact specialty was unknown, as everyone who fought him died he never had to use his full power, resolving all fights with brute force.
So when Lin Moyu theorized the Sky Covering Beast was "Dao," both Little Tree and Chaos Child were shocked. They couldn't fathom how he'd snatched that miraculous flower from the Dragon.
"It looks like the hidden guy is eighty percent the Primal Chaos Desolate Dragon. He must have acquired an artifact that gave him spacetime powers, which let him hunt the Shadow Bugs.
Still, you can't entirely rule out the Bull someone escaping the Queen wounded isn't easy."
Lin Moyu thought deeply. The Queen's power had already surpassed Sovereign reaching the third tier. She hadn't quite touched the fourth, Supreme, but was very close.
Even at his peak, the Bull's defense only reached the very end of that third tier.
So the Queen could hurt him, but might not be able to kill.
The Bull lacked sufficient motive; the Dragon did not.
"So, two in ten chance for the Bull eight for the Dragon."
Chaos Gem, however, asserted, "It must be the Dragon."
Lin Moyu was surprised. "Why so sure?"
Chaos Gem said, "To merge with the world's rules requires mastery of the rules. To master the rules, you must master many Great Daos."
"The Bull just isn't qualified; the Dragon is. That's why it's the Dragon."
Once he heard this, Lin Moyu agreed. There was a 99% chance the most deeply hidden was the Primal Chaos Desolate Dragon.
Figuring out this shadowy player's identity was a real gain.
Lin Moyu said lightly, "Seems this won't be easy to handle! I wonder if the others have figured him out?"
Chaos Gem replied: "Likely not. He's so well hidden, and since he's using the fusion path, he barely needs to fight, spending all his time understanding the world's rules.
But he failed at it during the last great calamity, so it can't have gone smoothly for him. Judging by his actions now, he's made little progress over all those years.
So with the new calamity, he finally snapped hoping to become a Supreme by killing you and letting the world itself reward him."

The Sky Covering Beast broke through by grabbing the strange flower, the Calamity Sovereign by using the Time Essence Stone and other powers, Lin Mohan by relying on vast Primordial Qi and Supreme Soul force.
But how did the Primal Chaos Desolate Dragon do it?
Chaos Gem said, "There are countless paths, and everyone gets different opportunities in the calamity. Getting that far isn't strange. In any case, he hasn't truly succeeded as long as he isn't Supreme, he didn't win."

Along the way, numerous battlefields came into view, and Lin Moyu saw countless corpses floating in the void some intact (identifiable as either Ancient Wild or Chaos), others just lumps of flesh, far beyond "massacre" could describe.
The East Domain and Middle Domain were now fully at war, both sides fighting brutally with yet another force involved.
Ancient Wild lifeforms were pouring across the scar and into the extreme domains, not caring about sides, slaughtering any being from Chaos on sight and plunging everything into chaos.
No matter the region, all were fighting both each other and these outsiders.
The endless influx of Ancient Wild creatures was causing great havoc normally, the four extremes and three domains of Chaos would unite against these threats, but with the calamity raging, everyone's will was affected.
They had to fight the outsiders, but couldn't stop fighting each other.
Chaos was now a total mess countless beings were dead, and in the calamity, any single life was worthless.
Lin Moyu felt nothing a few more deaths were just part of fate.
"The few over in the West Extreme must be terribly busy," he murmured.
The Sovereigns from the West Extreme had planned to use the war to collect as much blood and soul as possible, hoping to open the gate to the world's barrier.
Now, with this chaos, they'd have all they could gather and more who knew how far they'd gotten?
Suddenly, Xiao Peng warned: "Father, someone up ahead!"
