Chapter 4653: A World Slowly Collapsing

As the great door opened, a strange aura rushed forth.

"As expected, this is not the Chaotic Wilderness."

Lin Moyu could clearly sense the aura came from another world beyond this passage was a whole other realm.

How did the Chaotic Wild Bull discover another world, and why did he send Lin Moyu to retrieve corpses? How did he know there were two inside?

That meant he had been here himself, even placing the corpses here with his own hands.

Before entering, Lin Moyu looked back at Nine Suns Sovereign.

Nine Suns seemed unable to see the door it was visible only to Lin Moyu.

Stepping inside, Lin Moyu vanished from the Chaotic Wilderness.

Nine Suns instantly lost track of him. "Strange, where did he go?"

What was happening went completely beyond his understanding.

He wanted to approach, but the countless undead soldiers and the Shadow Bug Queen lurking in a parallel time layer all warned him to stay away.

Inside the passage, Lin Moyu walked leisurely, the foreign world's aura growing thicker.

He could tell the world on the other end was already dead it was a remnant, a corpse of a world, and the weakest such remnant he'd ever seen.

To enter the passage is to leave the Chaotic Wilderness, so Lin Moyu asked, "What is this secret art?"

Chaos Gem had been so insistent he accept the deal, so the art surely wasn't trivial.

Chaos Gem explained, "Nearly all secret arts depend on the rules of the world. Without those rules, there's no Dao power, and without that, arts are useless.

Yet in all the worlds, there is a unique kind of art.

With each world's birth, a primordial technique called an 'Art of Creation' is formed in sync with that world's primordial energy, prior to any rules. It exists on the same level as the world itself, above its rules.

But ordinary people, even if they obtain such an art, cannot cultivate it it's meant for the strongest beings."

"The supreme can use the primordial art to control worlds. Some say these arts hold the secret of the world's origin, but no one has fully understood them most believe this is a legend."

Lin Moyu could hear the subtext. "Do you think the legend is true?"

Chaos Gem replied, "Where there's rumor, there's cause. Emperor Po Cang once said, 'Whether it's true depends on who's looking; those who truly comprehend will find it's real, those who can't, won't.'"

Emperor Po Cang, a peerless being at the top of all worlds, saw much farther than others.

"Did he see through it?"

Chaos Gem shook his head. "Probably not fully, but he glimpsed part of the truth."

"If you can obtain the Art of Revelation, study it. Even if you don't want to become the strongest here, it won't hurt to learn teacher stones from distant mountains can hone jade."

Lin Moyu understood he might not get to the truth, but there could only be benefit, not harm.

Besides, it was hard to obtain; many supreme beings spent ages searching for such an art.

The primordial art forms on the same level as the world, but it changes endlessly and appears in many forms, making it very hard to find.

Since he was entering the passage anyway, he might as well help Nine Suns Sovereign it was no loss for him.

The passage was eerily quiet. An invisible force seemed to push him forward, and after two days he reached its end.

He emerged into a vast sky, faced with a new world's remains.

He sensed the space was immense; some vitality lingered green trees, mountains, grasslands, and lakes all remained.

Plenty of buildings stood as well, traces of history left behind.

Some formations still operated, guarding these structures against time's decay.

On the surface, it didn't look much like a ruined world the oddest thing was that here, earth was overhead, sky underfoot.

When this world collapsed, that part of the rules was damaged, creating this scene.

The spatial passage behind him had vanished; he'd have to find his own way back, or he wouldn't escape.

His stone tower no longer glowed it now served only to store corpses.

Looking around, nothing seemed amiss no souls, life, or apparent dangers.

"Weird, how could a world like this trap Sovereign September?

She only sent in a soul avatar if there was no danger, she shouldn't have been trapped.

Even if she couldn't instantly find the way back, with so many years, she'd have scoured the entire remnant by now..."

Lin Moyu summoned the Chaos Gem for advice.

The Gem circled the realm, squinting. "There's indeed something off here. The world's rules aren't fully shattered it's collapsing slowly."

Lin Moyu sensed something was wrong things were more complicated than he'd hoped.

Chaos Gem continued, "To put it simply: this world really is breaking apart, but the collapse is slow it'll take eons to be utterly destroyed.

In worlds that shatter immediately, you get remnants that last a long time.

If a world collapses slowly, you don't get remnants it just breaks straight into oblivion.

Both end in destruction, but the paths differ."

He went on, "Worlds like this are a supreme's least favorite easy to enter, hard to leave.

Supreme beings can open a passage in, but getting out is tricky; the way usually can't be found, or doesn't exist."

Lin Moyu asked, "Does this world have a way out?"

Chaos Gem shook his head. "It does, and more than one, but you must not use them."

"Why not?"

Chaos Gem replied, "As a world collapses, its space and the barrier to the Forbidden Zone of Life are broken, creating passages.

But most lead only to the Forbidden Zone, not back to the way you came."

Yikes! The Forbidden Zone was a death sentence even for someone courting death as Lin Moyu did, that wasn't an experience worth seeking.

"There's no way to tell them apart, right?"

Chaos Gem nodded. "No way at all. That's why supremes hate these places once you enter, it's basically a dead end."

Lin Moyu pondered, "Even in a dying world, its rules must provide a shred of hope. There must be a way."

Chaos Gem said, "The only escape is to find the world's core and refine it that will reveal a way home."
