Chapter 4682 - Chapter 4681: The Most Suitable Method for Lin Mohan

Chapter 4681: The Most Suitable Method for Lin Mohan

"So it was the Divine Phoenix Clan's secret art."

At the sight of the divine phoenix, Lin Moyu finally understood the sea of blood was the secret art of the Divine Phoenix Clan.

The Divine Phoenix Clan had a long history. Although there had never been a Great Venerable born in the clan, they had a close relationship with the Calamity Venerable, and their clan contained countless secret arts.

That they would employ this sort of special secret art was not surprising.

Lin Moyu did not want to become enemies with the Divine Phoenix Clan; the relationship had once been relatively friendly, and he also did not want to play into Hun Tian Huang Long's scheme.

Retracting the Calamity Crossing Boat, Lin Moyu revealed himself within the sea of blood.

"Gentlemen, long time no see!"

Lin Moyu greeted them, but then frowned.

Their reaction was off. Even considering the effect of the world ending calamity, when faced with him the World Enemy they would feel greed, but not hatred.

Yet now, the eyes of the three divine phoenixes brimmed with hatred, as if he were their mortal foe.

"It's you, how dare you show yourself!"

"The ancestor has ordered this one is the mortal enemy of our clan! Sacred one kill!"

The three divine phoenixes issued orders in unison, and instantly, the sea of blood roiled as countless attacks rained down.

Lin Moyu stood still and let them attack. Even if their power increased by a hundredfold, they could not hurt him.

Now, even a Great Venerable would struggle to wound him, let alone them.

What puzzled Lin Moyu was why he had become a mortal enemy of the Divine Phoenix Clan.

They said the ancestor gave the order which meant it must have come from the divine phoenix ancestor.

That ancestor should be with the Calamity Venerable. Lin Moyu suddenly understood:

"So the divine phoenix ancestor isn't dead, and has gone along with this calamity; he too wants my hands stained with blood."

"The Calamity Venerable's thinking matches Hun Tian Huang Long's they both need me to rack up blood and hatred, so when they kill me, the world's reward is even larger making a smooth path to Supreme in ten steps."

"For this end, the divine phoenix ancestor is willing to sacrifice his clan, to issue such ruthless orders really cruel."

"If this works, what reward can the Calamity Venerable give in return? Likely only a Venerable seat."

Lin Moyu could understand an ancestor with ideals cared little for heirs; as long as the ancestor survived, a new clan could always be rebuilt. Even now, not the whole clan would perish, just most of its essence that sufficed.

To sit upon the Venerable throne was a virtually unimaginable temptation, one for which countless would make such a choice.

Amid countless attacks, Lin Moyu's mind was clear, and he quickly saw through it all.

By refusing to fight, he realized that not only was Hun Tian Huang Long growing anxious but so too was the Calamity Venerable.

Both the Calamity Venerable and Hun Tian Huang Long were hiding, had similar views and methods, and thus reached similar conclusions.

"Birds of a feather, indeed."

Lin Moyu scoffed inwardly, "You want to force me to kill, but I refuse to do as you wish."

Transforming into a streak of light, he shattered the sea of blood and soared through a storm of attacks into the void.

With his current strength, he may not be faster than Little Peng, but he could certainly exceed the Calamity Crossing Boat if he wished he just hadn't bothered before.

When the Divine Phoenixes recovered, they surged up to give chase, but a massive hand pressed down from above, pinning them into the blood sea.

The giant hand was like a lid, holding them in, leaving them unable to break free for a while.

Lin Moyu had not killed them, only delayed them, and by the time they escaped, he was long gone.

Soon after escaping, he summoned Little Peng again, now fully cleansed of the Dao's imprint, and his speed increased once more.

Riding on Little Peng, Lin Moyu closed his eyes in contemplation, turning over the actions of the Calamity Venerable and Hun Tian Huang Long to further refine his plan.

Relying on the Primal Technique, his grasp of the world's rules was second to none.

He had his own strategy, wanting to push Lin Mohan to the level of Supreme, and had several options.

One was to have Lin Mohan kill the Calamity Venerable and others, unifying the fortune of the three, making her breakthrough.

Apart from that, another method was to do as they had kill Lin Moyu himself and use the world's reward to become Supreme.

But Lin Moyu knew his elder sister she would never do such a thing. Achieving Supreme by killing him for the world's reward was not her path.

The most suitable method for Lin Mohan was to blaze her way with the sword slay those three, and carve her way to the highest peak.

But this would be difficult for her; Lin Moyu had to give her a push.

At the very least, force Hun Tian Huang Long to reveal himself and even better, get all three to fight each other so Lin Mohan could take advantage.

That was exactly what he was working toward now, watching as Hun Tian Huang Long grew ever more anxious, sure he would eventually expose himself then, the show would begin.

Still, that method was dependent on chance and others' actions not fully reliable.

"Or maybe there's another way…"

Lin Moyu mused: rather than be a bystander, be the eagle.

If Lin Mohan was strong enough, she could ignore the three and cut them down directly, proving her Dao by force.

"This might actually be the best path for her."

At once he began working out the details for making Lin Mohan stronger.

The simplest method was bloodline resonance, the unique connection between him and Lin Mohan.

As long as he remained strong, Lin Mohan would benefit.

But due to world rules and differences in their levels, bloodline resonance had stopped working.

No matter, with the Primal Technique, he could temporarily restore bloodline resonance, even if it would break some world rules he didn't mind, being the public enemy anyway.

"That's how it'll be."

Lin Moyu finalized his plan by becoming stronger himself, he could make Lin Mohan stronger too, helping her rise to Supreme.

After that assault by the Divine Phoenix Clan, Lin Moyu vanished once again, and Hun Tian Huang Long seemed to quiet down as well, not making a move for two years.

After two years, Little Peng reached the border between the Central Region and the North Pole.

All around was shattered void, the aftermath of a fierce battle scars stretched far into the distance.

The barrier between chaos and the Ancient Wasteland was damaged; two different forces had clashed, causing devastating results. Even the world's rules found it hard to repair the area.

Lin Moyu felt the immense lingering power, muttering, "That was a battle between two quasi Venerables one from the North Pole, one from the Upper Region."

The Chaos Gem replied, "It was a real brawl, but neither died just a few injuries."

Lin Moyu said, "Quasi Venerables can still keep their rationality for now, but they won't go all out."

They wouldn't fight to the death, because the calamity had only just broken out.

Give it a little longer, and the quasi Venerables might well start fighting to the death in that case, Venerable deaths would be entirely normal.

The calamity was a great purge; the road to Supreme meant risking the lives of all beings.

Lin Moyu paused briefly, and Little Peng dove into scarred lands, heading for the North Pole.

At the exact moment Lin Moyu entered the scars, in a hidden corner of the world, a pair of eyes slowly opened.
