Chapter 4684 - Chapter 4683: Might As Well Try to Kill Me

Chapter 4683: Might As Well Try to Kill Me

The battle between "Dao" and the Chaotic Desolation Dragon shattered even the rules themselves, causing Lin Moyu's formation to collapse, making it impossible to continue watching.

"Fight, fight, the best is mutual destruction," he thought.

Lin Moyu was well aware that this battle would not result in a victor certainly not to the death. They were all too clever for that.

This fight was more of a catharsis; when they had enough, they would naturally calm down.

His objectives were met: the Chaotic Desolation Dragon could no longer hide, and the three way stalemate had formed.

The three would be on guard against each other, unwilling to give in, so none would have the spare energy to target Lin Mohan.

As long as they did not act against her personally, there wouldn't be danger.

The world shaking calamity continued to rage, growing even stronger and affecting all beings more deeply every day it now even touched the likes of them. This influence would only intensify.

Eventually, among the "Three, Six, and Seven Stars" faction, a life and death struggle would erupt; the winner would become a supreme, and the losers would perish, body and Dao alike.

No one could predict when that time would come, so Lin Moyu needed to win more time for Lin Mohan.

Little Peng and the Violet Venom Divine Serpent fought to a draw, evenly matched.

Chaos Child finished cleanly, taking everyone away didn't even leave a scrap.

The Violet Venom Divine Serpent wasn't a true living being, but a puppet without a soul.

After a short battle, the serpent turned into a phantom and quickly vanished the same way it appeared.

Lin Moyu knew this meant the Chaotic Desolation Dragon had withdrawn it, signaling his own battle had ended.

The Desolation Dragon's plot failed again; he exposed himself completely, suffering a thorough setback.

Little Peng returned to carry Lin Moyu on his journey, while Chaos Child released everyone half a day later.

Throughout, Lin Moyu hardly stained his hands with blood.

After this, the Chaotic Desolation Dragon finally went quiet. Not just him Lin Moyu felt that no one was paying attention to him anymore.

He passed through the scarred zone smoothly and entered the Arctic.

In sight were countless corpses, all shriveled dry, their blood and souls drained.

It had happened recently wouldn't have taken long.

"It seems the Gate of the Worldwall has not yet opened," Lin Moyu murmured. If it had, they would not still be collecting blood and souls.

Using his senses, Lin Moyu flew towards the portal of the Worldwall.

The following years were peaceful, just as Lin Moyu expected. Before making a move against him, "Dao," Chaotic Desolation Dragon, and Calamity Supreme would have to settle things among themselves.

The three watched each other in paranoia, making Lin Moyu almost an outsider perfect for quietly working on his own plans.

Several years later, following the mark of the Worldwall, Lin Moyu found its location.

"Stop!"

A low shout rang out, and a massive formation rose, forming a prison; simultaneously, a figure appeared in front.

Little Peng halted, gazing across a thousand miles at the opponent.

The newcomer was dressed in an off white robe, exuding a biting chill a quasi supreme of the Arctic.

Lin Moyu remembered being ambushed by someone like this when he first arrived in the Arctic; this seemed like that person's clone.

"So you dare return!"

He recognized Lin Moyu, his eyes blazing with greed.

Now, in his eyes, Lin Moyu was like the most priceless treasure. Kill Lin Moyu, and unimaginable benefits were his.

But he hadn't lost his reason and didn't strike immediately; as a quasi supreme, he wasn't yet deeply affected by the world's calamity.

Most importantly, this was the portal area of the Worldwall, which emanated a mysterious power that weakened the effects of the calamity.

Lin Moyu replied, "Why shouldn't I return? If senior has no business, please let me pass."

Calm and neither servile nor overbearing, Lin Moyu showed no deference even though the other was a quasi supreme.

Before, Lin Moyu would evade him, but now, if he wanted to kill him, it wouldn't be that difficult.

"Insolence!" yelled the man. For a little Chaos Realm consummate to talk to him like this pure audacity!

Lin Moyu said, "There are two quasi supremes in the Arctic, one named Hanxin, the other Bingfeng. If I'm not mistaken, you must be Lord Hanxin."

"I have business at the Worldwall, so please don't block my way, or don't blame me if I get impolite."

Hanxin's face turned dark, killing intent rising. "You are now the enemy of the world, and yet you dare speak to me like this you court death. Killing you today is just to align with the world's will."

Before he could finish, Lin Moyu turned away and said loudly, "Senior Jiu, are you here to join the fun as well?"

"Haha!"

A hearty laugh echoed, laced with wine fragrance that seemed to seep into one's soul.

Jiu Zun (Wine Venerable) appeared holding a wine jug, taking a deep swig. "Fellow Lin, long time no see!"

Lin Moyu smiled, "Long time indeed, Senior Jiu. What brings you here?"

Jiu Zun glanced at Hanxin. "Two things first, to settle some old scores with the Arctic's supreme. Second, I heard there's a secret area in the Arctic I wanted to check out."

Lin Moyu said, "It seems you have been promoted to quasi supreme congratulations."

At first, Lin Moyu didn't realize Jiu Zun had advanced thanks to the world's rules blocking his perception.

But now, since he dared challenge the Arctic supreme, he must have the strength showing that he had definitely advanced.

Jiu Zun looked at Lin Moyu, without any greed in his eyes, his Dao heart firm and largely unaffected by the calamity.

Jiu Zun asked, "How did you become the enemy of the world?"

Lin Moyu laughed, "If I said I brought it on myself, would you believe me?"

Jiu Zun stared, startled, then laughed loudly after a big gulp. "Truly, only you would do such a thing."

Lin Moyu said, "You must know, Senior, if you kill me, you might just advance further. Tempted?"

Jiu Zun shook his head. "Not interested. You are my friend I'll never trade a friend for profit."

He had his own Dao heart and wouldn't betray it for gain.

Lin Moyu said, "I'm headed to that secret area as well let's go together."

He flew towards the Worldwall while a flurry of runes spilled out, hundreds merging into the void, setting formations humming.

Countless invisible chains appeared, instantly binding Hanxin.

Even with the strength of a quasi supreme, it would take Hanxin a while to break free.

His face turned ugly. "What did you do?"

Lin Moyu ignored him and flew by toward the Worldwall.

Jiu Zun followed, still drinking, laughing heartily: "Your formation skills grow ever more formidable, Lin you're a peerless prodigy!"

"No, more than peerless you're a freak, someone beyond the very world itself!"

Lin Moyu raised an eyebrow. He didn't say anything, but faintly sensed something had changed with Jiu Zun otherwise, he couldn't have spoken of surpassing the world.
