Chapter 4689: A World That Has Advanced
Six Wheel Heaven a heaven capable of withstanding six great calamities. Any supreme expert who achieved the Dao in such a world would be at the very apex among all the strongest.
In ancient times, the one and only Breaker of the Sky Emperor was someone who achieved the Dao in a Six Wheel Heaven, though he succeeded very early, when that world had passed only the first calamity. He thus had even deeper foundations and became the most powerful among supremes.
When Lin Moyu heard this was a Six Wheel Heaven, he became much more cautious. To be confident is not to be arrogant.
"I remember there aren't many Six Wheel Heavens. Do you know which one this is?"
There are countless worlds, but those that reach six cycles are fewer than a hundred, and the Primal Gem ought to recognize every one.
Primal Gem looked around, its face showing puzzlement. "That's strange. I've never seen this Six Wheel Heaven before. Something's wrong here there must be an issue. Let me take a closer look."
Lin Moyu didn't interrupt, allowing the Primal Gem to study carefully; it seemed to become very focused, scanning everywhere.
Attacks continued to pour from all directions a barrage impossible to dodge. Lin Moyu sensed something unusual in the power of these assaults.
Within them, he recognized a particular aura one he'd only felt from the Fate Supreme. It was the power of destiny.
"No wonder it's unavoidable. So, it's fate at work."
The assaults locked onto his own destiny from the very start, as if predetermined, making evasion impossible.
But strangely, why would the remnants of this world contain the power of fate?
After a while, the Primal Gem suddenly shouted, "I get it! So that's how it is."
Lin Moyu asked, "What is it?"
The Primal Gem replied, "Didn't Master talk to Breaker of the Sky's consciousness before? He mentioned a person the one most skilled in the way of fate among all the worlds: Xunzhi Zhenjun."
Lin Moyu nodded. "Breaker of the Sky did mention that. The strongest of Xunzhi Heaven's experts had been given quite the beating by him."
The Primal Gem continued, "That was Xunzhi Zhenjun. He achieved the Dao in a Five Wheel Heaven and was among the best of the supremes, mastering the power of fate to the point it could affect not just here, but other worlds too.
He was arrogant, even looking down on those stronger than himself, but many supremes often sought his help, so they tolerated his temper.
Then he met Breaker of the Sky, who had no patience for him and beat him up badly almost shattering his foundation.
Afterward, Xunzhi Zhenjun secluded himself and wasn't seen again, and I stopped paying attention to him.
Never thought he'd manage to advance his world from five cycles to six. But that evolution is flawed there are holes everywhere."
Lin Moyu took the hint, "What else did you see? Please be specific."
The Primal Gem grinned. "Since you ask so sincerely, I'll explain. The time this world broke apart was quite early it seems it was shattered by choice, unlike the other worlds which fell to the great destruction."
By choice?
Lin Moyu's mind raced. "So Xunzhi Heaven collapsed before the great destruction happened. That means it probably broke when Xunzhi Zhenjun tried to advance from a Five Wheel to a Six Wheel Heaven and something went wrong.
Or, maybe Xunzhi Zhenjun broke the world on purpose. Breaker of the Sky once forced Xunzhi Zhenjun to predict the future and saw the coming destruction. Breaker of the Sky also forcibly erased those memories from Xunzhi Zhenjun's mind.
But since he foresaw the future, he would have also seen that his memories would be erased and likely prepared a contingency plan.
So he must have known the great destruction was coming, and, able to peer into the future, would also have devised a way to survive."
"He didn't go into a Forbidden Zone but instead used a special way to evolve his world."
Lin Moyu now suspected Xunzhi Zhenjun might still be alive or at the very least, not fully dead.
Even the Canglong (Azure Dragon) managed to cling to life, so someone who mastered destiny and foresaw the future like Xunzhi Zhenjun would not die so easily.
The great destruction may be terrifying, but surely Xunzhi Zhenjun had a way to survive, possibly even better than Canglong.
Just then, the Primal Gem said, "Master, be careful I sense this world is odd, as if someone is controlling things behind the scenes."
Lin Moyu responded, "I think Xunzhi Zhenjun isn't dead yet."
"I feel the same," said the Primal Gem. For someone who disdained even supremes, the Primal Gem seldom felt so serious.
But against a supreme, Lin Moyu even armed with the Calamity Scepter could never be completely secure.
"But there's no need to worry too much. Even if Xunzhi Zhenjun is alive, after what happened in the destruction, things can't be easy for him.
The powers from the Forbidden Zone were too much even for Breaker of the Sky. Xunzhi Zhenjun, even if he's alive, can't have retained much of his strength.
"Besides, I'm very interested in his method of world advancement. I might gain a lot from this."
Lin Moyu also wanted to elevate his own Divine Speech Heaven, and through research on the Firstborn Technique, he'd developed a few ideas, though he knew there would be problems in practice.
Now discovering Xunzhi Zhenjun had advanced his world from five cycles to six, perhaps he could learn from this and perfect his own methods.
The Primal Gem said, "The core should be in that direction, and I sense there's something very unusual there as well."
Lin Moyu said, "Let's check it out."
He transformed into a stream of light and headed in the direction the Primal Gem indicated.
It was like flying through a hurricane countless fate infused attacks came at him head on. He was far from the portal now, and every second, the power of the attacks he suffered increased dramatically.
A quasi supreme would not last a hundred breaths here.
Any stronger, and even a quasi supreme would be finished in moments a supreme wouldn't fare much better.
Lin Moyu's whole body glowed with a treasure like radiance, his physical strength outclassing supremes, his soul nearly unmatched below the very strongest.
Yet, even under these conditions, he still viewed the attacks as nothing.
He actually wished the attacks were even fiercer.
If something could kill him instantly, it might be just what he needs to break through further, body and soul alike.
But he knew that was nearly impossible unless a living supreme stood before him, constantly killing him.
A seriously injured Canglong couldn't do that back then, and today's Xunzhi Zhenjun probably can't either.
After a full day of endless onslaught, Lin Moyu eventually emerged into a calm, peaceful space.
