The battle between the Ben variants continued to rage across Los Soledad, with neither side showing any signs of slowing down. The battlefield had become a maze of craters, collapsed buildings, and burning debris as the constant clashes between aliens reduced more and more of the city to rubble. As the fight dragged on, the combatants gradually switched opponents, each searching for an advantage against a different enemy.
Ben 10,000 a burst of green light surrounding his massive body. When the light faded, he had transformed into Fourmongosaur, the hybrid of Four Arms and Humungousaur. Towering over the battlefield, the muscular alien charged directly toward Mummy, refusing to let the bandaged alien escape.
At the same time, Gwen changed forms as well. Diamondhead disappeared in a flash of green light, replaced moments later by Heatblast. Flames erupted across her rocky body as she immediately joined Ben 23, who was still struggling against Mad Ben.
Mad Ben had already switched from NRG into Rath, hoping his speed and ferocity would give him the upper hand.
"You wanna fight?!" Rath roared. "Then let's fight!"
Ben 23 laughed as Eye Guy unleashed another barrage of optic blasts, forcing Rath to dodge from side to side while Heatblast supported him by launching streams of fire across the battlefield. Rath leaped over the flames before charging straight toward the pair, only for Ben 23 to catch him with another volley of energy beams.
Elsewhere, Fourmongosaur finally caught Mummy after a brief chase. Using two of his massive arms, he grabbed Snare-oh before the bandaged alien could stretch away. No matter how much Snare-oh struggled, Fourmongosaur's grip refused to loosen as he held the alien firmly in place.
Not far away, Ben Prime had switched transformations as well.
With a flash of green light, Swampfire became Aerodactyl. The prehistoric flying alien immediately took to the skies, soaring in the sky diving toward Bad Ben.
Bad Ben answered by transforming into Big Chill.
The Necrofriggian spread his wings before taking flight, meeting Aerodactyl high above the city. The two flying aliens darted through the air at incredible speeds, weaving around collapsing buildings as they exchanged quick attacks. Aerodactyl repeatedly swooped toward his opponent with razor-sharp claws while Big Chill phased through each strike before retaliating with blasts of freezing breath that forced Aerodactyl to pull away.
While battles erupted across every corner of the battlefield, Albedo turned his attention toward the older golden-eyed Ben.
A red flash engulfed Ultimate Humungousaur.
When it faded, Albedo had transformed into Ultimate Echo Echo.
Without wasting a second, Ultimate Echo Echo launched himself into the air and gave chase.
Mewtwo noticed him immediately and floated higher above the battlefield. The two rapidly accelerated, weaving between shattered buildings as the aerial pursuit began. Ultimate Echo Echo repeatedly fired Sonic Disks toward Mewtwo, each glowing ring slicing through the air at tremendous speed.
Mewtwo calmly extended one hand.
Using his psychic powers, he redirected chunks of broken concrete and twisted steel into the path of the incoming Sonic Disks. The projectiles shattered the debris apart, but the brief distraction gave Mewtwo enough time to avoid the attacks and continue flying.
Ultimate Echo Echo wasn't about to let him escape.
The red alien accelerated even further, closing the distance before firing another barrage of Sonic Disks from every direction.
Mewtwo suddenly stopped.
The psychic alien turned to face his opponent head-on as Ultimate Echo Echo rushed toward him.
The two collided in midair.
Ultimate Echo Echo pushed forward with all his strength while Mewtwo answered by reinforcing himself with psychic energy. The two remained locked together above the battlefield, neither willing to give an inch as invisible psychic force clashed against Ultimate Echo Echo's physical strength.
For several moments, neither side moved.
Then Mewtwo's eyes flashed.
Using his psychic abilities, he suddenly shifted Ultimate Echo Echo's balance before hurling him toward the ground below. Albedo crashed through the remains of a ruined building, sending rubble flying everywhere.
Only a second later, Ultimate Echo Echo burst back into the sky.
"You'll have to do better than that," Albedo said with a smirk.
Before Mewtwo could react, Ultimate Echo Echo spread both arms. Multiple Sonic Disks rapidly formed around Mewtwo, surrounding him from every direction until there was no obvious escape.
Mewtwo immediately raised a psychic barrier around himself.
"SONIC DOOM!"
Every Sonic Disk unleashed its full power simultaneously.
The combined sonic attack crashed against Mewtwo's barrier from every direction. The invisible shield trembled violently as the overwhelming pressure threatened to break through. Mewtwo gritted his teeth, his entire body shaking as he poured more and more psychic energy into maintaining the barrier.
"AGGGGHHH!!"
With a powerful shout, Mewtwo unleashed his psychic powers at their absolute limit.
The barrier exploded outward in a massive burst of psychic energy.
The shockwave tore through every Sonic Disk surrounding him, shattering them instantly before continuing toward Ultimate Echo Echo. Albedo barely had time to react before the blast slammed into him, sending him flying backward through the air. His transformation flickered as he lost consciousness, his body plummeting toward the ruined streets below.
Mewtwo remained floating in the air, but only just.
The psychic barrier disappeared as he lowered his arms. He breathed heavily, visibly exhausted from forcing his powers beyond their limits. Although he had won the exchange, it had clearly taken a great deal out of him, and he continued panting as he watched Albedo's unconscious body fall toward the battlefield below.
Meanwhile, far away from the battlefield, Vilgax calmly activated the Chronosapien Time Bomb.
The strange device began humming as glowing energy slowly gathered around it. The longer it remained active, the brighter it became.
Standing beside him, Eon immediately noticed what Vilgax had done. His expression quickly changed from curiosity to irritation.
"I should be involved in every detail of your plans, especially if it involves a Chronosapien Time Bomb!"
Vilgax didn't even look at him. Instead, a slow smile spread across his face as he continued watching the bomb activate.
"You know what this bomb does, then, I assume?"
Eon folded his arms before giving a confident nod.
"So, you're going to destroy this Ben and his entire timeline? Nice."
Vilgax let out a quiet chuckle.
"On the contrary."
He finally turned toward Eon, his smile growing even wider.
"This bomb is designed to wipe out every other timeline except this one. Every Ben Tennyson who does not belong to this timeline will be erased from existence."
Eon's eyes widened.
The realization hit him almost instantly.
"B-but... I'm a Ben variant from another timeline!"
His voice began to shake.
"What about me?!"
Vilgax simply looked at him with complete indifference.
"Thank you for your assistance, Eon, but your services are no longer required."
He threw his head back and laughed.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
Panic immediately overtook Eon.
Without another thought, he turned and ran as fast as he could, desperately trying to escape the bomb's blast radius.
He wasn't fast enough.
The Chronosapien Time Bomb activated.
A massive wave of energy erupted outward in every direction, spreading across reality itself. Eon barely had enough time to look back before the wave caught him. His body began fading away piece by piece until nothing remained, erased from existence by the power of the Time Bomb.
Back on the battlefield, the fighting came to an abrupt halt.
Every Ben variant looked toward the horizon as an enormous wave of glowing energy rapidly approached them, swallowing everything in its path.
For the first time since the battle had begun, both the heroes and villains stopped fighting.
They ran.
Bad Ben was one of the first to be caught.
He had barely managed a few steps before the expanding wave reached him. His body vanished instantly, erased without leaving behind a single trace.
Not far away, Nega Ben looked over his shoulder at the approaching blast.
Even after seeing it, his expression barely changed.
He simply continued floating away as AmpFibian, but it wasn't enough.
The wave caught up to him only moments later, erasing him from existence as well.
"Run!" someone shouted.
Ben 23 looked back at the rapidly approaching energy before quickly slamming down on his Omnitrix.
A flash of green light engulfed him.
"Bloxx!"
His body transformed into countless living blocks as he desperately began building barriers behind himself while continuing to run.
Before he could get any farther, Snare-oh stretched his bandages across the battlefield. The wrappings coiled tightly around Bloxx before violently yanking him backward.
"Hey! Let go of me!"
The bandages pulled him directly into the path of the incoming wave.
"No, no, no—!"
The Chronosapien Time Bomb consumed him.
Snare-oh immediately released the bandages and turned to flee himself, realizing far too late that he had only delayed his own escape.
As he ran, he noticed the remaining Ben variants had also stopped fighting. Heroes and villains alike were now fleeing together, all of them trying to outrun the unstoppable wave racing across the city.
Benzarro looked toward the others, panic filling his voice.
"What do we do?"
Before anyone could answer, Ben 10,000 suddenly turned around.
Instead of running away, he sprinted directly toward the approaching explosion.
Everyone watched in disbelief.
He crossed his Biomnitrix.
"Atomic X!"
A brilliant flash of green engulfed his body.
Moments later, the fusion of Atomix and Alien X emerged.
Without hesitating, Atomic X launched himself straight at the expanding wave before drawing back his fist and throwing a devastating punch into the wall of energy.
For a brief moment, it looked as though he had actually slowed it down.
Then the wave continued forward.
Atomic X was swallowed whole.
The unstoppable blast never slowed.
The remaining Ben variants continued running through the ruined streets until they spotted the older golden-eyed Ben. He was carrying Albedo by the collar while making his way through the destruction. Seeing the group sprinting toward him with terrified expressions, he glanced past them and saw the massive wave rapidly closing the distance.
"Okay... what's happening here?!"
Gwen 10 looked back only briefly before grabbing his arm.
"It's some kind of energy weapon that destroys everything it touches! Ben 10,000 tried to stop it, but it was futile! We have to run!"
Without waiting for a response, she pulled him along.
The older Ben looked down at the unconscious Albedo in his hand before reluctantly letting him fall to the ground. There wasn't enough time to carry him any farther.
Behind them, more Ben variants disappeared as the expanding wave overtook them one after another.
Realizing they would never outrun it, the older Ben reached for his Omnitrix.
He turned the dial.
"Ben, what are you—"
Before Gwen could finish speaking, a brilliant golden flash surrounded him.
The light expanded until it towered over everyone nearby.
When it finally faded, standing before Gwen was an enormous creature on four powerful legs. It resembled a majestic dragon with deep blue skin, white armor covering much of its body, and a glowing blue emerald embedded within its chest. The sheer size and appearance of the alien left Gwen staring in stunned silence.
She had never seen anything like it before.
"Ben..." she asked in amazement. "What type of alien is this?"
The massive dragon lowered his head toward her.
"I call this form Dialga."
He looked back at the rapidly approaching wave.
"Now hurry. Climb onto my back, quick!"
Gwen wasted no time.
She climbed onto Dialga's back just as the dragon let out a powerful roar.
The space directly in front of him suddenly distorted before opening into a glowing portal.
Without hesitation, Dialga spread his wings and flew straight through it.
The portal closed only moments after they disappeared.
On the other side awaited Dialga's own dimension.
By escaping into it, they avoided the Chronosapien Time Bomb entirely while the destruction continued across every other timeline beyond the closing portal.
The Chronosapien Time Bomb continued expanding across the battlefield, consuming everything in its path. Buildings vanished without a trace as the unstoppable wave drew closer and closer to the last remaining survivors.
Now, only No Watch Ben and Ben Prime remained.
Ben Prime quickly looked around the battlefield, searching for one person.
"Where's Professor Paradox?!"
No Watch Ben frantically looked around as well, his heart racing.
"He was right here!" he shouted in panic. "He was here a minute ago!"
There was no sign of him.
Professor Paradox had simply disappeared.
The two barely had another moment to think before the wave was almost upon them.
Ben Prime looked back at the approaching energy before taking a step in front of No Watch Ben.
"No!"
No Watch Ben reached toward him, but Ben Prime didn't move.
Instead, he stood between the young Ben and the expanding wave.
The Chronosapien Time Bomb reached them.
The energy engulfed Ben Prime first.
His body slowly began disappearing as he looked back over his shoulder one final time. Despite being erased from existence, he smiled.
At that exact moment, his Omnitrix suddenly released itself from his wrist.
As if acting on its own, the device flew through the air before locking itself securely onto No Watch Ben's wrist.
The familiar click echoed loudly.
No Watch Ben stared at the Omnitrix in complete shock.
The most powerful weapon in the universe...
...had chosen a new wielder.
Ben Prime smiled one last time as more of his body faded away.
"Remember..."
His voice was calm despite everything.
"It's just a device."
More of him disappeared.
"Be the hero."
Those were his final words.
A second later, Ben Prime was gone.
Erased by the Chronosapien Time Bomb, leaving No Watch Ben standing alone with the Omnitrix now attached firmly to his wrist.
