Chapter 596 - Chapter 596 - Resonance

Not long after, Anda arrived at Leyvi's cultivation room.

"Oh? The children are here too? Are you spending time with Daddy?" she asked in a warm, motherly voice as she walked over and gently rubbed the twins' heads.

Leyana and Leyina exchanged a glance. They wondered whether they should admit that they had sneaked out.

Before they could say anything, however, Anda seemed to pick up a certain scent from them.

"I see. Did you children cause some trouble? Is Daddy scolding you?" she asked with a soft chuckle.

"Ah? How did Aunty know?" the twins blurted out in surprise.

"They sneaked out to Bara Forest on their own," Leyvi explained. "But I already knew about their little plan beforehand, so nothing bad actually happened."

"Is that so? Tch tch. You kids are going to make your mothers worry if you keep acting so recklessly," Anda said, shaking her head lightly.

She then turned her attention to Leywini.

"Wini, were you the one who came up with such a dangerous idea?" she asked. It was not hard to guess who the mastermind had been.

Leywini gave an embarrassed smile and scratched her head.

"Aunty, can you please not tell my mother? She'll spank me if she finds out." She hugged Anda and looked up at her with pleading eyes.

"If you already know you'll get spanked, then why did you do it in the first place?" Anda pinched Leywini's cheek affectionately.

"I thought we wouldn't get caught. I still wonder how Daddy found out," Leywini admitted.

"Your Daddy is the Lord of Bara Territory. Of course he can know everything that happens in his territory. There's nothing you can hide from him. So don't go doing bad things," Anda said, playfully stretching the truth a little.

But the children believed her completely.

Leywini looked surprised. Was Daddy really that powerful? Was it because he spent so much time cultivating?

"Wow! Daddy is amazing!" Leyana and Leyina clapped their hands in amazement.

Leylin blinked thoughtfully. Did that mean Dad had always been watching over him?

Leyvi could only smile wryly as he watched his children accept Anda's words without question. They would probably be quite disappointed if they ever learned he could not actually do something like that.

"Alright, alright. We still have an investigation to finish. Anda, bring them out," Leyvi said.

Anda smiled and walked closer to the chimpanzee. "Where did you get this one?"

"It's Leylin's. He tamed it in Bara Forest. But it turned into a crazed demonic beast right here in front of us," Leyvi explained.

Anda immediately understood the implication, since she already knew how Leylin's beast-taming method worked.

"Interesting. So you inspected its sea of consciousness. What did you find?"

"A powerful repelling force that completely blocks my spiritual sense from accessing the deeper layers of its consciousness," Leyvi replied.

"Even your spiritual sense couldn't get through?" Anda was genuinely surprised.

She was well aware of just how strong her husband's spiritual sense had become.

Leyvi simply nodded.

"I see. So you want to confirm whether other crazed demonic beasts have the same thing happening inside them?" Anda said.

Without waiting for him to confirm, she immediately asked Alita to send out the crazed demonic beasts still kept in the Universe Airship.

A moment later, four demonic beasts with glowing red eyes appeared in the room. Before they could even begin to rampage, soft clouds formed around them and restrained them in the same way the chimpanzee had been bound.

Leyvi then sent his spiritual sense into each of their seas of consciousness, checking them one by one.

After a while, he withdrew his spiritual sense.

"So, how was it?" Anda asked with clear curiosity.

"All of them have the same powerful repelling force blocking the way. There's no doubt that whatever is inside is what caused these demonic beasts to go crazy," Leyvi confirmed.

"Ha… It's a pity you can't investigate further. I was hoping we'd stumble onto something that could become a major contribution to the cultivation world. It would've brought great honor to the Leyan Family."

Anda sounded slightly disappointed. She had been hoping for something more interesting to unfold. Now it seemed the investigation might simply end here.

She then folded her arms thoughtfully. "I wonder if the people tasked with solving this phenomenon are stuck at the same point. Are even the Protectors' spiritual senses not strong enough to break through the block?"

Leyvi smiled. "I wouldn't say we can't investigate further. There's still something I haven't tried yet."

A spark of excitement immediately returned to Anda's eyes. She knew her husband would not say something like that unless he had at least some degree of confidence.

"Go for it, husband. Your wife will be waiting for the good news!" she cheered.

"Go, Daddy, go!" the twins added their own enthusiastic support.

Leyvi chuckled. It felt rather nice to hear his daughters cheering for him.

Without wasting any more time, he began to chant.

Compared to years ago, the moment the mantra left his lips, even the people around him could clearly feel its mind-enhancing effect.

The children were already familiar with the mantra. Spiritual Cultivation had become known across the entire continent and had been steadily gaining momentum over the past ten years. They had grown up watching more and more people in the city attempt to learn it.

Layla had even established an institute in the city to give those interested in Spiritual Cultivation an easier starting point. She had hired Gwen to manage and lead the institute.

Gwen was one of the Spiritual Cultivators they had become acquainted with back at Cloud Origin Academy.

With the generous offer and the strong impression the Leyan Family had left on her, she had not hesitated to accept the position and make the long journey here.

For the past five years, she had been searching for talented individuals and guiding newcomers in Spiritual Cultivation.

The children had naturally been tested for their Spiritual Cultivation aptitude as well. Among the four of them, the twins displayed particularly outstanding talent.

As for whether they would eventually walk the path of Spiritual Cultivation or Qi Cultivation, Caterina had yet to make up her mind. Their spirit roots had not fully matured, so there was still no need to decide.

Leyvi had already told her that, if the girls remained undecided when the time came, she could choose the path she believed suited them best.

However, if either of them ever developed a clear preference, they should be allowed to make the decision themselves.

A minute slowly passed.

Then... Golden light gradually emerged from within Leyvi's head.

Unlike Qi, whose radiance surrounded the body from the outside, this glow originated from within him. The entire cultivation room was soon bathed in a gentle golden brilliance.

Over the past ten years, Leyvi had reduced the time required to enter his Zenith State from six minutes to only one.

However, every further improvement had become exponentially more difficult. He had no idea how many more years it would take before he could enter this state instantly.

"Daddy's head is glowing!" Leyana and Leyina exclaimed together.

It was the first time they had ever witnessed their father's Zenith State.

Having seen cultivators emit Qi countless times before, they immediately noticed the difference.

This light did not wrap around his body. It shone from inside him. Through the golden radiance, they could even faintly make out the silhouette of his brain.

With his spiritual sense strengthened even further by the Zenith State, Leyvi once again entered the chimpanzee's Sea of Consciousness.

Inside, he forced the consciousness avatar to appear and attempted to push his way into the deeper layers.

To his surprise, even in the Zenith State his spiritual sense could not immediately overcome the repelling force. The resistance was stronger than he had expected.

Fortunately, he could feel the force slowly beginning to crumble under his continuous push. As long as he poured in more mental power, he was confident he would eventually break through it completely.

Without hesitation, Leyvi acted. He raised the intensity of the mantra to another level.

This time, he did not rely solely on his voice. At the same time, he chanted through spiritual speech. The two chants overlapped perfectly, resonating with one another until they became indistinguishable.

The spacious cultivation room was instantly filled with the harmonious mantra. No matter where anyone stood, the sound reached them at exactly the same volume, as though it were being whispered directly beside their ears.

Moments later, the golden radiance surrounding Leyvi grew even brighter.

Inside the chimpanzee's Sea of Consciousness, his amplified spiritual sense surged forward once again, pressing relentlessly against the invisible barrier.

The repelling force trembled. Its resistance was rapidly collapsing.

Leyvi could feel it. He was only a hair's breadth away from breaking through.

Unfortunately... He had already reached his limit. Every ounce of mental power he possessed had already been brought into play.

No matter how desperately he tried, he could not squeeze out even the slightest bit more.

Just a little more... Just a little more... I only need a little more mental power...

Leyvi's mind roared inwardly as he pushed with everything he had.

At that exact moment, something unexpected happened.

Bathed in the golden light and immersed in the harmonized chant, Leyana and Leyina suddenly became motionless.

Their bright eyes gradually lost focus. They had entered a trance.

Through the mysterious resonance of the mantra, they somehow perceived their father's desperate wish for more strength.

It resonated deeply within them.

The next instant...

Two additional golden lights bloomed inside the cultivation room.

Anda's eyes widened.

Leylin and Leywini stared in complete disbelief.

The golden radiance was unmistakable.

It was exactly the same as Leyvi's.

The twins had entered the Zenith State.
