Kingdom of Sikeal – The Duke's Mansion
In the luxurious Duke's Mansion, Heina, her long red hair cascading like a flame-touched seaweed, lounged lazily in a robe of soft silk. Around her clustered many enchanting women, whose presences were clearly meant for private viewing only.
Snapping her fingers, Heina neatly flicked off the neck of a wine bottle and laughed. "So, where's your Queen?"
A girl resting her head on Heina's long, slender legs, each over a meter in length, looked up and said sweetly, "Do you mean Mama Stussy? No idea…"
"Maybe on the pleasure ship," another woman, leaning over Heina's shoulder from behind, purred teasingly. "You've been monopolizing the pleasure ship for so long, Lady Heina, Mama Stussy has been quite distressed, you know~!"
The other women giggled. "Mama says that Lady Heina is even more like a Queen~~!"
"How touching! Did she really say that about me?"
Heina threw her head back and laughed heartily. Taking a deep drink, she then lifted her elegant fingers to tilt up the chin of the girl behind her and pressed her lips against the girl's soft ones. The girl's face flushed rose-pink, her slender neck trembling slightly, while the others pouted in jealous admiration…
After toying with the girls for a while, Heina finally waved a hand, dismissing them.
The curtains fluttered. A light breeze slipped in through the window, lifting the pirate woman's fiery hair as she poured herself another glass of wine.
Staring out the window, Heina murmured to herself, "So they actually dared to come to my island… but why are they only moving between the cities around the island's edges?
"And splitting up, too… have they still not found my location?
"With a brat worth 400 million Berries on the Marine's bounty list, their Observation Haki shouldn't be that lousy…"
She gently swirled her glass, the blood-red wine spinning within like a vortex.
"Or maybe… they're deliberately avoiding me?"
…
Kraikana Island – The Knights' Rendezvous
A tall, well-endowed blonde beauty named Coyatel was walking down a dirt path with a few pirates at her side.
"Ha ha! This country's become quite the spectacle!" one pirate jeered. "We don't even need to loot ourselves, these people are killing each other for us! We just wait and pick up the leftovers!"
Coyatel walked ahead, her hand resting casually on the white hilt at her hip. Suddenly, she raised her head.
From above came a sharp, rapidly approaching "Ahhh, !" sound.
"Hey, hey! What's that noise?" cried a pirate in red, looking up.
In the distance, something massive was flying straight toward them through the sky.
"Wait, that shape… could it be…?"
"Lady Kamui?!"
The pirates gasped one after another, staring in shock.
"Ahhhhhh...!"
The colossal shadow hurtled down toward them, its shrill cry echoing through the air, and it descended upon them like the Red Line itself collapsing.
"Ehh?! You've got to be kidding!"
The enormous silhouette blotted out the sun, engulfing them in shadow.
"Get out of the way!"
The pirates panicked, scattering in tears.
Only Coyatel remained still, gazing upward at the incoming behemoth, and then calmly raised one hand toward it.
BOOM!
The ground exploded as the gigantic horned creature smashed down right where Coyatel stood.
"Lady Coyatel!!" the pirates screamed in horror, staring at the cracked earth and the dust cloud rising from it.
"Cough… cough…"
As the dust settled, Coyatel's tall figure still stood in the same spot. But the massive beast that had fallen was gone, in its place was a small white-haired girl, rubbing her back and coughing violently.
"It really is Lady Kamui!" the pirates wailed, half in relief and half in terror. "We almost got crushed to death by you just now!!"
Coyatel, with her soft, gentle air, immediately pulled the petite white-haired girl into her chest, asking tenderly, "Kamui, are you alright?"
The surrounding pirates were still trembling, exclaiming, "Lady Coyatel, you're asking the wrong person! The ones who almost died were us!"
Kamui, her face buried in the other woman's massive bosom, struggled free, rubbing her waist. Her eyes blazed as she glared up. "Hey! Were you trying to kill me just now?!"
"You were the one trying to kill us!" the pirates cried, raising their hands in collective protest.
"Eh? How could you say that?" Coyatel bit her finger pitifully, her expression all wide-eyed innocence.
"Don't you have legs? Couldn't you dodge?!" Kamui stomped her feet, her forehead looking like a horn might burst out of it at any second. She gnashed her teeth furiously. "To think you actually used your ability on me, you damn big-boobed woman! I bet you were trying to take this chance to kill me…!"
"You were the one trying to kill me, weren't you?" Coyatel suddenly smiled sweetly, spreading one hand and pressing it right in front of Kamui's face.
"How scary…" the pirates murmured nervously. Seeing Coyatel make that move, not a single one dared to speak above a whisper.
Through the narrow slit of her half-lidded eyes, Coyatel's gaze flashed dangerously. "Perfect aim, no deviation at all, and you just happened to fall straight at me? Don't tell me that wasn't on purpose. You think I'm an idiot?"
"..." Kamui glared back, then gave an indignant snort. The horn on her forehead retracted as she folded her arms and turned her head away.
Coyatel pouted, reverting to her usual timid, submissive air, and slowly withdrew her hand.
"Phew… scared me half to death…"
The pirates all let out a collective sigh of relief. At least the two Four Knights hadn't actually started fighting, because if they did, they would be the ones suffering.
"Damn that wicked Chopper… Liam…" Kamui's eyes gleamed dangerously as she muttered through gritted teeth, pupils turning beastlike, glowing a deep, dark gold.
"Eh? Don't tell me…" Coyatel said softly, "Was it Liam who sent you flying here?"
"What the hell's it to you?!" Kamui snapped, baring sharp little fangs. Her horn shot out again, making all the pirates shriek and duck for cover.
Coyatel bit her lip, feigning fragile sorrow. "I just noticed he seemed to have left the coast already… I thought you hadn't run into him…"
"He ran?!"
Kamui roared, her petite body suddenly expanding, transforming into a four-to-five-meter-tall, massively built rhinoceros, bearing a horn that looked capable of smashing through a mountain.
Ox-Ox Fruit: Rhino Form!
"Don't you run away!"
Boom, boom, boom! The huge rhino thundered across the land again, the ground trembling with every stride as she charged off in pursuit, unwilling to swallow the humiliation of being tossed aside so easily moments ago.
Coyatel watched the massive rhino's dust trail vanish into the distance, then softly pointed in the opposite direction. "I think Liam went that way…"
"You could've said that earlier, Lady Coyatel!!" the pirates cried out, half-weeping. But when Coyatel slightly turned her head to glance back at them, everyone immediately froze, clenching in terror, every mouth clamping shut tight.
Coyatel smiled gently, eyes curving. "Don't be mean to me, okay…?"
Dear heavens! the pirates screamed inwardly. This sweet-voiced Lady Coyatel is absolutely terrifying!
…
That woman Heina's aura really is freakishly strong…
Liam was walking through the sky with Geppo, following the coastline toward the next city. From afar, his eyes occasionally drifted toward the island's central region.
Every person's Kenbunshoku Haki develops its own distinct specialty.
Luffy, for example, eventually learned Katakuri's signature "Future Prediction," but in truth, his own Observation Haki was always most attuned to sensing emotions. Enel's "Heart Network" could eavesdrop on people's inner voices. As for Liam, his Observation Haki functioned like a battle-power radar, letting him vividly discern the nature, strength, and differences between all kinds of auras at a glance.
The aura of Heina, seated in the royal city of Sikeal, shone in Liam's perception like a firefly in the night, impossible to miss.
"Hmm?"
Just as he was mulling over Heina, he suddenly sensed something, and looked down.
A crescent-shaped gleam was rising swiftly from the ground, slashing toward him.
Liam kicked downward; a Rankyaku (Tempest Kick) spiraled from under his foot to meet it head-on.
Whoosh…
The two arcs collided… yet nothing happened. His Rankyaku spun silently downward and fell away without a trace, while the crescent light kept slicing toward him.
It swept past from below, swift and silent, brushing across Liam's body midair.
Liam frowned. "That wasn't a flying slash…?"
He turned his head upward, watching as the crescent glimmer passed him and vanished higher into the clouds.
As he shifted his weight, intending to kick off another Geppo, his legs suddenly went weak, no strength at all.
"Ah."
Touching his chin in puzzlement, Liam felt the rush of weightlessness. The wind howled past his ears.
Whizz…
He plummeted almost horizontally, like a flat board spinning through the air…
BOOM!
He crashed down hard, just outside a dark, foreboding forest.
"Oooh… ooohh…"
From within that eerie woodland, countless pairs of dimly glowing eyes flickered to life, all turning toward the human-shaped crater at once, their low, guttural howls rising in a chorus of unearthly sound.
