Guards stood at the door and sentries were posted all around. Not even a fly could hope to get in.
Qin Wei walked to the entrance and spoke to the two security guards. "Has that bitch given in yet?"
"Reporting to the young master, she has not!"
Qin Wei's face darkened. "Ungrateful wretch!"
The door opened to a dim room where a woman with an elegant silhouette was reading a book. She was so focused that she seemed not to notice Qin Wei's entrance at all. The rustling of pages filled the air, but Qin Wei was growing impatient.
"Do you think you can hold out for long?" Qin Wei sneered. "Or do you think someone will actually come to save you?"
However, the woman didn't even glance at him, acting as if she hadn't heard a word.
"Hmph, you'd better behave!" Qin Wei said. "Remember, your parents are still in our hands!"
The sound of a page turning came to an abrupt halt.
The woman turned around, revealing a face of otherworldly beauty.
