Alongside the Grand Province's perimeter stood the Walls of Peace, a large border consisting of highly strong materials such as iron and stone. Every single hour of the day, guards observed people coming through and departing from the Grand Province - but the only thing different from any other day on their job was the arrival of Team Pyron. And Team Pyron's arrival meant the arrival of…
"WOAH!" Kevin shouted, his voice scaling up the wall and echoing above the clouds. "THEY'RE EVEN BIGGER IN PERSON!" Standing behind Kevin was the remainder of Team Pyron, who, unlike their leader, maintained their excitement as they traced the large and unbreakable iron walls splitting the skies. "The most prestigious land in all of Nahata…" Xavier muttered to himself. "It's not everyday you see a mighty wall surpassing the height of Ironhold's.
Grand Hospital, Grand Province
Shuffling quietly through the empty halls, Zora took a moment to observe the large characters reading "ROOM 210" printed onto the door. Without hesitation, he walked in on the same woman he had saved just thirty minutes ago. "What the hell do you think you're doing here so late?" an external voice behind the door sounded, swiping Zora straight off his feet and slamming him against the ground. The voice's owner was identified as Trey, skilled professional entity hunter ranking #7 on regional charts. "Notice how I was the one actually on patrol today!" he clapped back, attempting to hide his swooning over Princess Azul prior to the sudden breakout. Zora emerged from the checkered hospital floors, his eyes turning to the injured woman. "The doctor said she'll be fine, but rest is rather essential for an injury like that," Trey informed him. With a sigh of relief, Zora slouched into the wooden chair standing adjacent to the bed and stared towards the open sky through the glass. The wind forced slight movements from the glass door, making way for the passing of small yet powerful breezes of wind. "While I was in Uraview this morning, I noticed ominous, hooded figures lurking around quiet parts of the city," Zora continued, peacefully surrendering to the wind's aggressive kisses. "In the five minutes I had tailed them, they seemed to be talking about Pyron's rampage causing uproar within the country."
Trey turned his head back in curiosity, creating a mental image of these "hooded figures" Zora mentioned. "I'm not sure what it regards, but my gut tells me that an immense force of evil has infiltrated the Grand Province."
Volume 13, Chapter 47 - Fire Moon's Arrival
Guards standing atop the Walls of Peace listened to the sound of metal clanking from the bridge leading straight towards the Grand Province. One guard, with long, red hair and a blue shirt similar to Kevin's, pulled out his binoculars and aimed them towards Team Pyron. "Hmph," he mumbled, compressing the binoculars back together and slipping them inside his pocket. The other security guard, a female with short, black hair, lifted her feet atop the wall's thick concrete bricks. "You've been paranoid ever since that order to tighten security was implemented - don't overdo yourself, Alan." She leaned against his shoulder, glancing up at the blue skies above. "Hopefully everything goes well inside the city…" she thought, brushing her hair back towards the ground and closing her eyes. The scene's vibe of relaxation was halted with a loud, booming scream coming from the wall's south side. "Alan, Bari! Security on the wall has been compromised!" Bari's eyes bulged open in shock, her body thudding against the ground due to Alan's sudden movement. "Security alongside the wall was compromised? How the hell does that happen!?"
Alan hopped towards the wall's edge, accelerating himself through the skies towards the southern section of the wall. "If security was compromised this easily, our enemy must possess transformation powers!"
Dark, snowflake-like particles circulated around his hand, molding into a large scythe. "Scythe of Darkness - Extended Range!" he cried, chucking the blade across the skies like a boomerang.
The blade chipped into the patterned concrete bricks, assisting Alan in terms of distance between him and the wall's other end. He now stood on top of the blade's handle, flinging himself above the borders.
"Your skills are amazing," an ominous voice echoed in the distance. "It's a shame you aren't known outside these walls." Alan took a slight gasp, staring closely at the nearest tower standing as the voice's origin. Without any warning, Trey stepped straight into the sunlight towards Alan with a slight smile. "Seems like my predictions were right," Alan concluded, comparing the power levels he had been witnessing with Trey's average power levels.
"Why so aggressive, buddy?" the doppelganger continued, stretching his hands out towards the open sky. "I'm the #7 Nahatan professional hunter, don't you know that?" Alan opened the palm of his hand, the dark flurries solidifying into a ball-like object. "Not only is this a doppelganger, but I sense immense firepower from their direction! What the hell is going o-"
"You've had more than enough time to think," the doppelganger stepped in, attempting to entrap Alan in a chokehold facilitated with the growing firepower within his body. He weaved the attack with flawless precision, spinning his scythe back and slamming his blade towards the unknown figure. "Weak fighting techniques like that won't work on me," he replied. The scythe's manmade metal struggled against the man's bare skin, which was slowly beginning to partake an orange color similar to Pyron's skin.
Alan watched a flurry of orange bubbles engulf his opponent's body like scorching hot oil, thickening the coat of firepower that surrounded his skin. "Ever since Pyron escaped, illegal portions of his power have been sold across the country in the form of drugs. Trimus of Damage Control used this firepower to create a criminal movement, while a cult using this power has appeared in the Land of Stone. "My name is Chrome, founder of the Fire Moon! We'll use Pyron's power to create a new world, carving our name into the list of historical events defining the entity world!"
The energy within Chrome's body rapidly exerted into the air, creating an explosive reaction destroying part of the wall. Alan blew himself back up into the skies with his scythe, nearly falling victim to the hissing smoke. "I may not have authority to fight here, but I do hold authority to hold you off from entering!"
"Don't think I'll give you a chance to do that!" Chrome arrogantly replied, his body blasting out the smokescreen like a shooting star. "By concentrating Pyron's power to a specific part of my body, I can create a blow powerful enough to ERADICATE YOU ONCE AND FOR ALL!"
Alan dragged back into the Grand Province's streets, noticing the blazing fireball growing across Chrome's leg. Mixed murmurs from bystanders began to fill the street, revolving around the "mysterious fireball in the sky" and the "sudden appearance of a wall guard."
"THIS IS A GLIMPSE OF FIRE MOON'S TRUE POWER!" Chrome continued, the blazing fireball reforming into a crescent and lifting into the air. "You're still confident about winning now, Alan!?"
Alan began spinning his scythe across the perimeter of his body, engulfing himself in a large orb of darkness that whirred throughout the streets. Now, two large sums of power radiated across the Grand Province - from the sky, Chrome's effective defense using Pyron's firepower, along with Alan's large orb of darkness from the ground. Both sides blasted through the skies with their courageous screams, exerting a burst of energy blasting through the Grand Province on collision. "The moment of truth!" Chrome screamed excitedly. "This is the moment we see who holds the most power!"
Alan scoffed, following a small grin that bloomed across his face. "For someone who abuses stolen power, you're a really prideful person."
The power of darkness dominated their clash, leaving the black whirring orb hovering through the air. About five seconds passed, and a strong gust of wind dispersed the orb, revealing the battle's results.
Chrome slowly descended from the Grand Province's blue skies, uncontrollable blurs appearing within his eyesight. "If you think you can come into my country with malicious intent, you're wrongly mistaken," Alan boldly stated, "for I am Alan of both Crystal City and the Grand Province!"
