My hand snapped up, fingers curling around a wrist that was approaching me as my consciousness slowly returned.
It took me a moment to regain my senses, realising that I was in some sort of infirmary from the looks of things. Standing over me was an older woman with short brown hair wearing a somewhat revealing dress with a white fur coat.
She looked surprised, her hand outstretched and clearly aiming to touch my wings.
"... I'll kindly ask you not to touch my wings," I told her, keeping my voice polite but firm. "Touching my wings is equivalent to touching a human's privates."
Her eyes widened in surprise, and she quickly pulled her hand back as I let go of her wrist. "I... My apologies," she said quickly. "I'd just... You understand that-!"
"I understand," I nodded, taking a deep breath. "It's human nature to be curious, after all... Where's Levy- blue hair, orange dress?"
"Right beside you," she assured me quickly, and my head whipped to the side.
I felt my body relax as I saw Levy lying on another bed only a few feet away. Her chest rose and fell slowly, showing that she was alive- just asleep as I had been.
"You were both in a bad state when we found you," the woman told me- looking familiar to me even though I couldn't put my finger on it. "You were much worse off than she was, however."
I just nodded, unsurprised by that. I'd wrapped my wings around her to protect her for a reason. I'd barely managed to cover my body in a layer of Steel God Slayer Magic- otherwise I imagined I'd be in a much worse state when they found me.
I focused my gaze on the woman... I knew who she was, I was certain of it. If I wasn't wrong...
"Sorry, I've been rude," I told her. "My name is Ash Crestfall. The one over there is my lover, Levy McGarden."
The woman smiled kindly, "My name is Manuela- I am both a teacher and healer here at Garreg Mach Monastery, the headquarters of the Central Church of Seiros."
The name opened a floodgate in my mind.
Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Taking place in the land of Fodland, the stories events were centred on the three future Rulers of the Land and the Goddess's Chosen Host.
The Princess of the Adrestian Empire - Edelgard.
The Prince of the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus - Dimitri.
The Heir to House Riegan, the leaders of the Leicester Alliance - Claude.
And the Host of the Goddess, the Ashen Demon of Geralt's Mercenaries - Byleth Eisner.
These four people were central to determining the future of Fodland- and their stories that branched into countless others were the ultimate driving force behind the events of Three Houses.
"Could I ask for some water?" I finally spoke after a moment. "My throat is dry."
Manuela merely smiled and headed over to a nearby faucet to get me a glass, all while my mind raced.
The people who went missing... If I wasn't wrong, there was a good chance they'd ended up travelling to other worlds. Not necessarily this one either...
Honestly, there was even a chance they hadn't made it to other worlds at all. That place I saw before I passed out... It was the void between worlds. The only reason I'd made it was because I protected myself, and also because of my Flugel Biology. Levy only survived because I took the biggest bulk of the damage, otherwise she would not have been able to endure it.
More than likely, those people had died in the void- returning to the nothingness from which all worlds were birthed.
But that led to the question, how were Levy and I supposed to get back to our world?
The System reacted suddenly.
[Upon fulfilling certain conditions, the Host will obtain [Kaleidoscope].]
[One World Roll available.]
I blinked in surprise, a little shocked.
Kaleidoscope- the Second True Magic from the Fate Universe. The Manipulation of Parallel Worlds.
Having that Magic would certainly let Levy and I return to our world.
As for the conditions... I chose not to think too hard about it, instead I would focus on what I could do at the moment.
"Thank you," I accepted the water from Manuela and took a long sip, soothing my throat.
"So," she focused on me. "What are you? An angel?"
"You could consider me an angel," I told her. "As with all things, it's complicated... Let's just say I used to be human and came into my bloodline- sort of like a different kind of Crest."
"Interesting," she nodded. "I'll let you rest for now, though be prepared. Lady Rhea would like to talk to you once you've recovered."
I just nodded and Manuela smiled before she left.
For a few moments I just sat in bed, staring into space before I took a deep breath. "Where's BB?" I decided to ask the System first.
BB being absent was unusual. Normally, the system never spoke- BB would do so. The fact the System was talking... Meant something had happened.
[Creator [BB] has been otherwise occupied. System acting in Auto Mode.]
Occupied...? An Outer God was occupied?
My mind went back to that clawed hand that reached out towards me, only for it to be swat aside...
I shook my head, mentally reassuring myself that BB would be fine- she was an Outer God.
"Show me the wheel," I told the System.
A new wheel appeared before my eyes, different than in Fairy Tail. It was full of Fire Emblem Classes rather than the Magic of the Fairy Tail World. Interestingly there were no Crests- which were a central part of Fodland. It was obvious that the System had instead chosen to focus on Classes since that was the true 'Power' of the Fire Emblem World... Although I did see the 'Custom Hero's Relic' Option in there.
I mentally commanded the wheel to spin.
The Wheel surged as it spun, and I focused on it intently as it became a blur.
Slowly, it began to grind to a halt... And...
[Congratulations, you have obtained the Class [Dragon Lord].]
For a moment, I vaguely recalled what this class was- it was basically the final Promotional Class of a Wyvern Rider in Radiance of the Dawn.
... That was what I thought until the memories and knowledge of the class hit me, and my eyes widened as I quickly opened up my System Panel.
Dragon Lord (Innate)
The Lord of All Dragons. It is not the dragon that rules, but the man who commands. The bloodline of a Dragon Lord ensures all those of Dragon Blood will obey.
Passive Effects
1. Drastically increases charm towards those with Dragon Blood.
2. Capable of speaking, reading, and writing in any and all Dragon Languages.
3. Drastically increases Nature and Magic affinity.
Active Effects
Dragon Subjugation - Allows the user to control/command those with Dragon Blood, warping their minds into obedience. Effect decreases depending on a Dragon's strength.
Dragon Fusion - Allows the user to synchronise with a Dragon under their command, allowing them to wield the Dragon's power in their own body or to drastically enhance the Dragon's own abilities- even temporarily merging together.
I swallowed slowly as I read the abilities of the Dragon Lord Class... This went far beyond what I understood the classes of the Fire Emblem world were capable of. This skill... It was basically a cheat code for Fire Emblem as a whole- capable of subjugating the peak of all beings within the Fire Emblem World. Dragons.
Tiki, Naga, Grima, Rhea, Nowi...
Hell, it didn't just apply to pure dragons- but also those with Dragon Blood.
That meant the likes of Byleth, Sothis, Flayn...
My eyes widened as I suddenly recalled something- the Crests of the world of Three Houses were all obtained by stealing the Dragon Blood of Sothis's children and descendants...
Didn't that mean that... Damn near every noble in Garreg Mach was a target for Dragon Lord?
This class was even more terrifying than I realised... And it could do so much at only the Innate Level. At higher levels... Dragonic Beings would be nothing to me.
Suddenly, the system reacted again.
[The Host has obtained the [Rule] of the Fire Emblem World. Flugel Bloodline is resonating with the World Rules. You have obtained the [Crest of Artosh].]
I suddenly felt a faint tingling on my chest. I unbuttoned my shirt and glanced down. It was a little tricky to see from my view, but I noticed that a golden tattoo had formed over my heart- depicting an orb surrounded by several lines that almost appeared like wings- 9 lines on each side, totalling twelve.
Crest of Artosh
The Blood of the War God buried deep within the Flugel Bloodline, consolidated and manifesting within the body to allow one to catch a glimpse of the dead God's divine might.
Still consolidating, currently locked.
Crest of Artosh... No effects yet, so I just chose to put it out of my mind for the moment.
I was more interested in the System claiming I had obtained the [Rule] of the Fire Emblem World...
Was the [Rule] a fancy way of saying the power of the world? Perhaps it was my Flugel blood, but I was extremely curious and wanted to know more about just what the [Rule] was...
I sighed and buttoned up my shirt, hiding the tattoo on my chest from sight. I was curious why my Crest had appeared on my body given most of them weren't supposed to be visible, but I just chalked it up to something to do with my Flugel Biology... Sort of like being chosen by Artosh, I chose not to think too hard about it.
I got out of the bed, making my way over to Levy and pulling up a chair beside her. I took a seat, gently holding her hand in my own. I activated my God's Eye, using its X-Ray power and the ability to see mana to check her.
I couldn't see any problems with her, though her Mana was completely depleted... She'd probably used all of it to subconsciously shield herself from the void between worlds.
Reaching out, I gently placed my hand on her stomach. My wings flared out behind me, my Spirit Corridors igniting, as I gently pushed my mana into Levy's body.
She shuddered, but her Ethernano Container accepted my magic- allowing for her own mana to recover just a bit faster.
With a satisfied nod, I pulled my hand away. She'd probably wake up the next day, once her magic was fully recovered. I didn't dare push more mana into her body or it might forcibly expand her Ethernano Container, which was dangerous.
I held her hand and closed my eyes, taking a moment to think.
We were in the world of Three Houses. From the looks of things, this was still before the Adrestian Empire had declared War on the rest of Fodland with the aid of the Agarthans.
Though this led to the question... Which path had Byleth Eisner- the Ashen Demon- chosen? Did they choose to teach the Black Eagles? The Blue Lions? Or the Golden Deer?
I just sighed and rubbed the sides of my head... The only thing I could do in this world was disrupt the plot and try to bring about a better ending for everyone. After all, that was how to get rewards from the System- to disrupt canon...
The best way to do that? Tell Edelgard the truth- that the Agarthans had manipulated her and everyone else from the very start. To put them on the path of uniting the entire continent against the Agarthans so that there could be true and lasting peace.
"Fuck," I muttered. "Why does everything have to be so damn complicated?"
My head snapped up as the door opened.
Edelgard von Hresvelg made her way into the infirmary, before her eyes landed on me. She froze, her cheeks turning pink as she stared at me with emotions swimming in her eyes.
'Ah...' I thought to myself. 'That would be the Charm increase against Dragon Blood...'
