After deploying a swarm of delta-wing drones and spherical reconnaissance probes, William casually tossed out over a dozen spherical autonomous red mercury nuclear bombs, then cheerfully patted Mephisto on the shoulder and said, "See? You can project yourself freely into my world, but my magical clone visiting your place is just as easy. In fact, I don't even need to send a clone. Just a single thought from the material plane, and I can drop hundreds, even thousands, of nukes—or better yet, antimatter bombs."
Mephisto looked around at the hellish environment in disbelief. Hearing William say this, fury welled up in his heart. He was a demon lord—he had never imagined that one day he would be threatened and utterly ignored by a mere human.
What infuriated him even more was that entering Earth with a projection wasn't some simple task—it cost him quite a lot. And now, after all the effort and price paid to manifest a projection, it had been dragged back to Hell without warning.
Sending it back would again require more effort and cost. But he couldn't admit that—not unless he wanted William to look down on him even more.
He began to wonder if taking in the demon god Set had been a trap all along. It was because of William that Set's Dark Kingdom had been blown to pieces by stellar energy, forcing the god into such a pitiful state where he had to rely on others for survival.
This deal was starting to look like a major loss.
Seeing Mephisto remain silent, William assumed he didn't understand what antimatter was.
His face showed obvious contempt as he explained, "You're a demon lord who's lived for god knows how many years, and you don't know what an antimatter bomb is? You need a guy like me, barely past twenty, to explain it to you?"
Watching Mephisto almost lose control and revert to his true form, William grinned. "To put it simply, you use a particle accelerator dozens of kilometers long to create energy collisions and produce a substance called antimatter. The moment this energy touches any physical matter, it explodes—emitting light more intense than the sun itself. It's the perfect weapon against creatures from realms like Hell."
Mephisto's expression changed drastically. William, as if oblivious, continued, "Relax, someone at your level isn't going to be killed by one of those. But I guarantee that if anyone messes with me, even if I can't kill him, I'll make sure he ends up completely alone."
William's tone turned sinister. "No followers. No faith. No power. Tsk tsk tsk. Imagine what the other demon lords would think of someone like that. It's a fun idea, actually. How about we work together and test it on a demon lord?"
Arms folded and hand on his chin, William mused, "Yeah, I should have the AI start production now. Let's prep about ten thousand antimatter bombs, just in case I need them sometime."
Ten thousand!? Mephisto was genuinely startled by that number.
He wasn't too concerned about regular nukes. They might kill plenty of demons, but the radiation could actually serve as a power source for some.
But antimatter bombs—if they truly produced solar-level light like William claimed—would be a nightmare for Hell.
Scowling, Mephisto growled, "Do you really not care about your mother?"
"I care. Of course I care. I'd do anything to protect her," William narrowed his eyes, glaring at Mephisto. This bastard had just threatened his mother for the second time.
If there wasn't still something to discuss, William would've already had his clone detonate the red mercury bombs nearby—just to erase Mephisto's projection as a warning.
In a calm tone, William said, "If something truly becomes unavoidable, I'll let go—for now—and wait for the chance to personally tear the enemy apart.
Then I'll erase everything and everyone related to them. Their people, their deeds, even their name. So that no one in the world remembers such a demon ever existed.
And what good is a demon no one remembers, no matter how powerful? He can't even be resurrected."
Mephisto's heart sank. If William truly did that, then every demon lord in Hell needed to think carefully about whether it was worth making an eternal enemy out of someone who could freely traverse dimensions.
Especially when Mephisto saw the swarms of drones flying off into the distance. He realized the only reason William was exploring Hell so openly was simple—
He wanted to map the entire place.
So that if one day revenge was needed, he wouldn't be scrambling. He'd just have to pick one of the weaker demon lords who posed no threat to Earth, and start bombing their territory with antimatter bombs until they coughed up the real culprit.
Hell, he could even flip it—ally with that demon, offering them a deal to devour the rival who had crossed William.
As for all the demons in Hell uniting against William?
That idea lasted only half a second in Mephisto's mind before he discarded it.
Unite? They'd be lucky not to backstab each other on the spot.
As for William's harsh words—he understood. When facing demons, creatures of scheming and darkness, showing even a sliver of weakness meant a lifetime of suffering.
If it really came down to it, William would destroy his enemy first and then resurrect his loved ones. After all, the System did have resurrection magic.
That thought instantly lightened William's mood. He extended his hand toward Mephisto with a grin. "Bye-bye, Old Meph."
In the next moment, blinding flashes erupted simultaneously across a radius of over ten kilometers. Mephisto's projection only managed a few glances before his vision blurred, followed by a dozen towering flames shooting into the sky.
The ground shook violently, deafening booms rang out, and a sweeping shockwave blasted across the land.
Before the shockwave even hit, William's magical clone was shredded into pieces. Then Mephisto's projection was engulfed by high temperatures and crushing pressure, instantly vaporized and evaporated.
In that moment, demons of every rank—lord or lesser—felt Hell itself wail and tremble in fear.
What had begun as a joke or a warning had become a declaration: humanity now possessed the power to utterly annihilate Hell.
Demons still dreaming of invading the material world now found themselves filled with rage, shock—and most of all, terror.
Every demon lord equal in rank to Mephisto turned their gaze toward his domain. And those looks were unmistakable—full of hatred, anger, even contempt.
If not for Mephisto sheltering the demon god Set, Set would've been carved up and devoured long ago. Then today's humiliation—an entire Hell shamed by one human—would never have happened.
This incident ensured that Hell would never again be able to raise its head before the pantheons of the multiverse.
And in that moment, William's name didn't just echo across Hell—it spread through the entire multiverse.
From now on, anyone who knew what had happened, upon hearing William's name, would think of one thing first: this man is the only person who dared singlehandedly attack Hell, and the only one bold enough to nuke it into oblivion.
From this point forward, William's name wouldn't just be remembered for eternity—it would strike fear into the hearts of demons and dark entities from every plane of existence.
But to William, this was only the appetizer.
He wouldn't stop until the demon god Set was dead.
