Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 — The Gravity Training Room

After finishing the porridge in the pot, Radan placed it down gently.

He leaned back slightly.

He wasn't completely full.

But considering the circumstances, the simple meal had been more than enough to satisfy him.

The food in the Dragon Ball world was truly something else.

Even something as ordinary as porridge tasted far better than anything he remembered from his previous world.

Radan couldn't help but sigh inwardly.

So even after becoming a Saiyan, I still have time to appreciate food.

His gaze shifted toward Bulma.

There was something he wanted to confirm.

"By the way, Bulma Aunt."

Bulma looked toward him.

"Is the gravity training room Uncle Vegeta used still available?"

"Gravity training room?"

Bulma was slightly taken aback.

She stared at him for a moment before understanding what he meant.

"You want to use the gravity training room to cultivate?"

Radan nodded.

"I do."

Bulma's expression became somewhat complicated.

"I remember that many years ago, you told me that everyone's method of cultivation was different. You even said that simply copying Vegeta's training method wouldn't necessarily make you stronger."

"That's true."

Radan didn't deny it.

"At that time, I thought that way."

His expression gradually became serious.

"But the situation has changed."

"Now, I'm being forced to find another way."

Radan lowered his gaze toward his missing arm.

"What I lack isn't simply training."

"I lack pressure."

"I need something capable of continuously pushing my body beyond its current limits."

He paused for a moment.

"Pressure can force potential out of the body."

"That's what I need."

Bulma remained silent.

Radan continued.

"After this battle, I became even more certain of something."

"My strength isn't actually inferior to Android 17 and 18."

"But I'm only one person."

"They have infinite energy."

"Even if our strength is similar at the beginning, a prolonged battle will eventually become disadvantageous for me."

His expression hardened.

"And because of the previous battle, I lost one arm."

Radan slowly clenched his remaining fist.

"If I still had both arms, the result might have been different."

"But I don't."

"Therefore, I have to become stronger."

"Strong enough that I can completely suppress them."

Bulma looked at him quietly.

For a moment, she could see something she hadn't seen in him for a long time.

Hope.

Not blind confidence.

Not the reckless determination that had characterized so many of Earth's warriors.

This was something colder.

More deliberate.

Radan wasn't planning to simply survive.

He was planning to change the balance of power.

Bulma finally nodded.

"I understand."

"I'll find a way."

She thought for a moment before continuing.

"Although the gravity training room has been abandoned for years, it can still be repaired. With some remodeling and replacement parts, it should be possible to get it working again."

Radan's eyes brightened slightly.

"But there's a problem."

Bulma sighed.

"The amount of energy required to operate it is enormous."

"Under normal circumstances, that's nothing."

"But now..."

She spread her hands.

"Most of Earth's infrastructure has already been destroyed. Even if I repair the machine, there isn't enough electricity available to keep it running."

Radan immediately understood.

Materials.

Energy.

Those were the two things standing between him and the training room.

"Can something else be used as a substitute for the energy source?"

Bulma looked at him.

"Possibly."

"Then give me a list."

Radan's answer came without hesitation.

"Whatever you need, I'll get it."

Bulma stared at him for a second.

Then she smiled faintly.

"As expected of Goku's son."

"You really did inherit your father's obsession with training."

"If you find a method that might make you stronger, you immediately want to put it into practice."

She shook her head.

"The Earth can only rely on you now."

"I'll prepare a list of everything I need."

"You'll have to search through the surviving cities."

Bulma's expression became serious.

"Although you're powerful, don't become careless."

"There are still too many dangers outside."

Radan nodded.

"I know."

"Don't worry, Bulma Aunt."

Bulma watched him for a moment.

There was a complicated feeling in her eyes.

After Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, and the others had died, Radan was the last warrior she could truly depend upon.

Even Trunks had already fallen.

The world had taken almost everyone from them.

Bulma had watched Radan grow through all of it.

She had seen him crawl back from the brink of death more than once.

Each time, he became stronger.

But each time, something else disappeared.

The cheerful boy who had once laughed freely was gone.

What remained was a warrior carrying the weight of an entire ruined Earth.

"Just... take care of yourself."

Bulma's voice softened.

Radan gave her a reassuring smile.

"I will."

He stood up.

"Then I'll get started."

...

Half an hour later.

Radan left the underground Capsule Corporation facility.

The first thing he needed to do was gather supplies.

Food.

Water.

Medicine.

Anything that could be preserved for a long period.

If he was going to enter intensive training, he couldn't afford to constantly leave the training area simply because they had run out of food.

At least a month's worth of supplies would be necessary.

Fortunately, he possessed the original Gohan's memories.

He knew which cities still had usable supplies.

Without those memories, searching through the ruined world would have been far more troublesome.

Radan activated his Flying Technique and disappeared into the sky.

He deliberately avoided the areas where Android 17 and 18 were known to move.

There was no reason to fight them now.

His objective wasn't to defeat them today.

His objective was to make sure that when they met again...

They wouldn't be able to escape.

Several hours later, after moving through multiple cities in the southern region, Radan had collected a considerable amount of supplies.

Food.

Bottled water.

Medical materials.

Fuel.

Various mechanical components.

And several other items that Bulma had specifically listed.

Everything was stored away carefully.

Once that was done, Radan flew toward a deserted island far from the mainland.

The island was completely silent.

No cities.

No survivors.

No Androids.

Perfect.

Radan landed on the rocky ground.

He looked around.

"This should work."

He had deliberately chosen somewhere isolated.

Not because he needed protection.

But because he wanted to test something.

The system.

Ever since it had awakened inside him, Radan had been trying to understand exactly what it could do.

He knew it had saved his life.

He knew it had repaired his body.

He knew it had absorbed surrounding energy.

And he knew it had forcibly merged his soul with the original Gohan's soul.

But that was only the beginning.

There were still too many unknowns.

Radan closed his eyes.

The system interface appeared in his mind.

His attention shifted toward the combat-power reading.

He remembered his current strength clearly.

Normal state:

12 million.

Super Saiyan:

600 million.

Those numbers were already enough to put Android 17 and 18 beneath him in terms of raw combat power.

But raw strength wasn't everything.

The Androids possessed infinite energy.

If the battle dragged on, that advantage would eventually become decisive.

And there was another problem.

Cell.

Majin Buu.

Dabura.

Black.

Zamasu.

The future ahead was far more dangerous than Android 17 and 18.

If he wanted to survive...

12 million wasn't enough.

600 million wasn't enough either.

He needed to keep climbing.

Radan opened his eyes.

"System."

The interface responded.

He studied it carefully.

Then he looked down at his remaining hand.

A faint smile appeared.

"Let's see what you're really capable of."

He had already decided.

The gravity training room would be repaired.

He would use it.

He would push his body to its absolute limit.

And if the system had another method of accelerating his growth...

He would find it.

Radan turned his gaze toward the distant mainland.

The ruined Earth was silent.

But somewhere out there, Android 17 and 18 were still alive.

They probably believed that the last Saiyan warrior had already been pushed to his limit.

They were wrong.

The battle two days ago had only been the beginning.

Later

Back at Capsule Corporation, Bulma began compiling the list of materials needed to restore Vegeta's old gravity training room.

Radan, meanwhile, had already begun planning his next move.

There was no room for hesitation anymore.

He had inherited Gohan's memories.

He knew this world's future.

And unlike the original Gohan...

Radan wasn't going to wait for disaster to arrive before reacting to it.

The future had already changed.

Now he only needed to decide how much he was going to change it.
