After they finished eating, Aunt Tong packed up the insulated lunch container and left. She said she'd bring dinner over tonight. Once Yan Luoxi saw her go, she finally let out a long breath. "She finally left."
Li Yeqi sat on the edge of the bed, watching her relax back against the headboard, her eyelids drooping slightly like she was sleepy. He chuckled. "Aunt Tong's just worried about you."
"I know." Yan Luoxi said, "Aunt Tong is like my own mother. She nags a bit sometimes, but I know it's all for my own good."
"If you know that, then stop thinking she's annoying." Li Yeqi pinched her cheek. "Sleepy?"
"Yeah. It's not that I think she's annoying, it's just… I know I was wrong too. I shouldn't have just let things slide. Luckily it didn't turn into something serious, otherwise I'd regret it for the rest of my life." She touched her lower belly, sighing.
Watching her rub her belly, Li Yeqi leaned in and reached out to touch it too. He laughed. "Still flat."
