As people swamped around Cheng Xiao, some started to stuff their business cards into her hands.
"Ms. Cheng, please take mine." They said as they handed their cards.
"I have no problem in taking your cards, but where will I keep them?" She said and she showed her hands that were full.
"How about this, you can come or call the company tomorrow for the order." Cheng Xiao suggested.
Many found this method much more pleasing and agreed. As the crowds started to disappear, Cheng Xiao set the cards down on a table. She turned to the hostess and said.
"I know how much you loved your wedding ring, and how unique it was. So, I decided to make you a ring similar to the one you had as a gift." Cheng Xiao said reaching into her bag.
Cheng Xiao pulled out a ring box from her bag and handed it to her. The hostess took the box and opened it, her eyes went wide and she looked up at Cheng Xiao in shock. Tears started to stream down her face and her hands shook as she reached for the ring.
As she looked at the ring, a smile broke to her face while tears still rolled down. She grabbed her husband for support.
"T-this!" She opened her mouth, but the words were stuck in her throat.
"Is it that bad?" Cheng Xiao asked with concern.
"No, it is not that." The woman replied shaking her head.
"It is not just similar but exactly the same as the ring I lost, many designers I went to all said they could not do it. When we tried to reach out to the original designer, we found out that he passed away." The woman said.
"I had lost all hope, but you..." The words died in her throat as she brought a hand to wipe her tears.
"The designer that designed the ring for you back then was my uncle." Cheng Xiao said shocking the whole room.
"You mean..." The woman asked.
"Yes, he always talked about this ring and the couple that he designed it for. He is the one that taught me everything about jewelry." Cheng Xiao said.
"That makes so much sense why she is best at designing." Someone said.
"True, the gift was passed on to her." Another said.
"I still can't believe that she is related to the greatest jewelry designer of all times. Even his pieces are in the museum." Another said.
"I didn't think that Cheng Xiao was related to him." Su Li said to Shen Mu.
"He is the one taught Cheng Xiao everything, when she was just three years she was making her own charm bracelet. So, when he saw her, he decided to make her his apprentice." Shen Mu replied.
